What to include
A clear subject line helps. For corrections, tell us which story, which sentence, and what you believe is wrong, along with a source if you have one. For tips, explain what you know and how you know it, and tell us how you would like to be contacted. For letters, include your name and city.
When to expect a reply
These are aims, not guarantees. We try to acknowledge most messages within a few business days, and we aim to look at corrections requests sooner. Volume varies, and a newsroom that is still being built may be slower than we would like. Not every message can receive an individual reply, but every one is read.
Please keep it safe
Email is not a private channel. Please do not send passwords, security codes, bank or card numbers, government ID numbers, medical records or other secrets. We will never ask you for them. If a message claiming to be from us asks for sensitive details, treat it as suspicious and let us know at [email protected].

Beneath this text, the site provides a simple form that opens your own email program with a message addressed to us. It does not send anything by itself, and nothing you type there is stored on our servers. If it does not open your email program, copy the address you need and write to it directly.
