Travis Kelce has joined forces with TikTok sensation Olivia Dunne as part of a campaign to promote Accelerator’s Active Energy drink.

During an interview on Good Morning America, Kelce revealed that he had ‘got Livvy Dunne in the building’ to shoot advertisements for the energy drink brand, which he became an investor in last year along with brother Jason and Yankees star Aaron Judge.

Dunne, the LSU gymnastics sensation who boasts eight million followers on TikTok, also joined Accelerator’s A-list roster of athletes in 2023, and this week she teamed up with Kelce to promote it.

Travis said about her on GMA: ‘Absolutely just an awesome person, she’s down there making Accelerator look amazing.’

His investment in Accelerator is just one of Kelce’s many business ventures, with the Kansas City Chiefs superstar riding the wave of his high-profile romance with Taylor Swift.

‘I feel like I’m on top of the mountain even after winning the Super Bowl and having the offseason that I’m having,’ he gushed. ‘Living the dream baby.’

Kelce is also in the process of filming Ryan Murphy’s new FX horror series ‘Grotesquerie’ after being cast a role in the show alongside American actress and television host Niecy Nash.

The NFL tight end is giving Hollywood a go while Swift continues on the European leg of her Eras Tour, and he admits getting into character has proved a tough task at times.

When asked if he can now be considered an actor, Kelce said: ‘I guess you could say that. I’ve been on a few shows before. I’ve only played myself in those shows though.

‘It’s definitely different trying to portray a character and trying to find the emotions and everything and the understanding of a script and a scene.

‘It’s a challenge. I feel like an amateur right now, but I’m coachable. That’s one thing I know from being in sports, I’m a coachable guy.’

Harrison Butker isn’t apologizing for his remarks suggesting that women should forgo professional careers to become homemakers.

The Kansas City Chiefs player appeared at the Courage Under Fire gala at Regina Caeli Academy on Friday, nearly two weeks after his graduation speech at Benedictine College garnered criticism.

“It is now, over the past few days, my beliefs or what people think I believe have been the focus of countless discussions around the globe,” Butker, 28, said in footage shared online.

“At the outset, many people expressed a shocking level of hate. But as the days went on, even those who disagreed with my viewpoints shared their support for my freedom of religion.”

Butker said he’s become a polarizing public figure, but didn’t waver on his previous stance.

“It’s a decision I’ve consciously made and one I do not regret at all,” Butker said.

Butker has weathered criticism following his remarks at Benedictine College, a small Catholic liberal arts college in Kansas, on May 11. While there, he told female graduates they had been told “diabolical lies” before suggesting they were more excited to create a family than go into the workforce.

“How many of you are sitting here now about to cross this stage and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you are going to get in your career?” Butker said. “Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.”

Butker then mentioned his wife, whom he said embraced “one of the most important titles of all: homemaker.”

“I say all of this to you because I have seen it firsthand how much happier someone can be when they disregard the outside noise and move closer and closer to God’s will in their life,” he said.

Women shouldn’t be shamed for the path they choose
Butker’s comments sparked online debates about women in the workforce.

“I am pro-women having choices and women being able to make those choices based on what intrinsically motivates them,” Gavin said. “There are some women who are going to choose to embrace motherhood as a primary motivation in their lives, and then there are women who are going to make other choices.”

Gavin added some women want both a career and motherhood, while others want neither. None of these choices should be ridiculed, she said.

“There are people who truly believe that is the right decision for them, and if that’s what they believe, then I fully embrace, empower, and encourage them to go down that path,” she said. “My issue is pushing those sorts of values upon other people.”

That’s why she takes issue with Benedictine College’s decision to choose Butker as a commencement speaker.

“They should have known that he was not the kind of person that they would want to put in front of these grads,” Gavin said.

She said it was “challenging” to see young female graduates who had spent at least four years working toward professional careers “being told that they’re doing the wrong thing and that they should be doing something else.”

Jessica Schaefer, a crisis communications and reputation management expert, echoed Gavin’s thoughts. She said commencement speeches are meant to be inspiring, not a platform to share personal opinions.

“As someone who works on a lot of these commencement speeches, it’s important that you prepare. The goal is to inspire everyone that’s graduating,” Schaefer told BI. “It’s not a platform for your personal opinion. That’s not why you’re getting paid to give a commencement speech.”

Gavin added that “whatever choice a woman makes, they should be able to make that choice and live without shame.”Since giving his speech, several people have spoken out against Butker and Benedictine College.

The National Football League distanced itself from Butker with a statement praising inclusivity. Teammates Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes said they disagreed with Butker’s comments but defended his right to voice his opinion.

And nuns from Benedictine College denounced Butker’s speech, saying they disagreed with the suggestion that “being a homemaker is the highest calling” for women.

“We sisters have dedicated our lives to God and God’s people, including the many women whom we have taught and influenced during the past 160 years,” the statement read. “These women have made a tremendous difference in the world in their roles as wives and mothers and through their God-given gifts in leadership, scholarship, and their careers.”Representatives for Butker said he’s not available for further comment.

Benedictine College representatives did not respond to a request for comment from Business Insider outside regular business hours.

On Saturday, June 1, the couple started the month with a bang, turning their home into a huge, Gabby’s Dollhouse-themed party for their kids: daughter Sterling Skye, 3, and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, 1½.

Kicking off a series of posts on her Instagram Stories, Brittany, 28, announced that “it’s a @gabbysdollhouse day at the Mahomes household” next to a photo of Sterling.

In the next post, the former soccer player and mom of two showed the toddler — dressed in a colorful tutu, cat headband and Gabby’s Dollhouse graphic T-shirt — dancing around in an inflatable tent swirling with pastel balloons.

“Go, sister,” Brittany cheered as Sterling chased the balloons around.

Both Patrick, 28, and Bronze made an appearance in the next post, with the NFL star lying on the ground and holding his son in his lap.

Behind the father-son duo was a giant balloon arch and sign that read “Gabby’s Dollhouse” and featured several characters from the DreamWorks animated series.

Next, Brittany showed Sterling squeezing a friend and party guest tightly before having a hard time warming up to a Gabby mascot who attended the gathering.

Alongside a clip of Brittany hyping her daughter up to interact with the character, she wrote, “Took some time to warm up to @gabbysdollhouse but we eventually gave a high five and half hug.”

In the next post, Brittany showed the result — a video of Sterling running up to the titular character and giving her a high five before dashing away laughing. “Yay!” Brittany said, cheering on the excited tot. “Good job!”

After overcoming her mascot jitters, Sterling also got a side-by-side photo with the character, which Brittany also shared.

The party was complete with not only balloon tents and mascots but also a dessert truck, the mom of two showed, posting a clip of a snow cone stand stocked with sweet treats.

Over a video showing her kid eating a vibrant snow cone with a rainbow lollipops protruding from the top, Brittany exclaimed, “Girl is going in.”

“Is that good, Sterling?” the mother asked her daughter, who was fixated on the frozen treat and gave her a half-smile that hinted at mischief.

“I mean, they’re basically our 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren,” Brittany told People.

“I consider us having four kids.”

Brittany and Patrick share daughter Sterling and son Patrick together.

Before they became actual parents, they were dog parents in college when Patrick bought Brittany a dog.

“I actually got Steel when I was in college. Patrick bought him for me for a Valentine’s Day gift when I was a junior,” Brittany said.

Brittany revealed that she was a fan of a different NFL team before Patrick was drafted to the Kansas City Chiefs which is how she got her dog’s name.

“So, I actually used to be a Steelers fan and that’s how I got the name Steel, so that’s a great story,” Brittany said.

The Mahomes family added their second dog, Silver, a few years after getting Steel.

“I think it was back in 2018 after Patrick’s first year in the league. We decided we wanted another addition,” Brittany said.

She describes the pups as “wild and full of energy,” and shared she’s always had a dog around.

“I’ve always had a dog in the house, ever since I can remember,” Brittany said.

“Even my parents split, and they both ended up having dogs, so I’ve grown up with dogs. I’ve never lived in a house without a dog.”

While Brittany is a pro with dogs, she and Patrick work with celebrity dog trainer Tom Davis to keep their companions in check.

“We’ve been working with Tom for several years, and he’s the best fit for our family and dogs,” Brittany said.

“I would say it was about 2019 or 2020, within about a year of us having Silver because she was a handful, and then we got introduced to Tom through a friend of ours who used him as well.

“And we’ve been using him ever since.”

The Mahomes family flies Davis out to Kansas City to work with Steel and Silver every once in a while. The gesture “just shows how much they love and care about dogs,” Davis said.

“What I find endearing about both of them is that it’d be really easy for them to write off different things if they wanted to, but they don’t.”

Brittany has an Instagram page dedicated to her dogs where she posts updates and cute pictures of them.

The Mahomes often throw big events for their kids and June 1 proved to be no exception as their daughter met an idol.

Brittany and Patrick Mahomes spare no expense when it comes to celebrating their children and their life events and they maintained this policy by welcoming a plethora of cartoon characters to their home to treat their kids, although one of them left Sterling-Skye Mahomes afraid.

The event on June 1 was themed around Gabby’s Dollhouse as the young daughter of the couple wore a pink tutu, t-shirt and cat ears in preparation as her mother showed her off on social media, although Bronze Mahomes was nowhere to be spotted.

It turns out that Bronze was actually indoors with his father as they had transformed one of the rooms into a place full of balloons, flowers dress-ups and green carpet to let their children run riot by enjoying the afternoon with all of that space.

The couple had even invited some of the characters from the DreamWorks series to appear, although Sterling-Skye seemed nervous as she tentatively held her friend’s hand when faced with the mascot of the titular character, Gabby.

However, both of her parents are determined and strong people and they pushed the youngster to go on over and start to say hi, before adding on social media that it, “took some time to warm up to @gabbysdollhouse but we eventually gave a high five and half hug.”

After some positive reinforcement from her mother, Sterling-Skye then posed for a photo with the mascot as Brittany Mahomes posted them online for all of her followers, and the world, to see.

As if the day couldn’t get any better for the kid, her parents had even hired an ice cream truck to show up and offer some delicious treats. She chose a snow cone with a rainbow lollipop out of the top, before offering a cheeky smile to the camera.

Their father is a footballer and their grandfather spent over a decade in professional baseball so it’s clear to see that Sterling-Skye and Bronze have a lot of athletic talent in their blood and they had a great time showing it off on May 31.

The pair were gearing up to go to bed but they suddenly found themselves with a second wave of energy as they began running around the home frantically in a pair of onesies as their mother laughed.

Sterling-Skye, aged just three, then began to “make music” by thrashing on the metal lockers in the gym room, before her younger brother followed her lead.

NFL free agent Isaac Rochell has thoughts about Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker encouraging women to be homemakers.

Rochell, 29, uploaded a “morning in [his] life” video via TikTok on Wednesday, May 15, where he proudly called himself a “stay-at-home husband.”

“Here’s a morning in my life as an NFL stay-at-home homemaker. Me and Alli switched roles for the day,” Rochell said about wife Allison Kuch, who proclaimed that they are “equal partners” and don’t have gender-defined roles in their marriage.

Rochell, a defensive end who has played for the Las Vegas Raiders and the Cleveland Browns, went on to share a glimpse into his daily routine that included putting away laundry, cleaning dishes and taking care of the couple’s daughter, Scottie Bee. (Kuch, 29, gave birth in December 2023.)

“Yes, I do play in the NFL and yes, I’m playing next year,” Rochell added. “But, as of now, I’m a straight-up stay-at-home husband [and] I look good doing it.”

Rochell noted in his caption that he was “definitely subtweeting” with his parody video, likely referring to Butker’s controversial graduation speech.

Butker, 28, had been tapped as the commencement speaker at Kansas’ Benedictine College on Saturday, May 11, where he raised eyebrows with a comment directed at the female graduates.

“I want to speak directly to you briefly because I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you. How many of you are sitting here now, about to cross this stage, and are thinking about all the promotions and titles you are going to get in your career?” Butker said at the time. “Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world.”

The NFL kicker also proclaimed that his wife, Isabelle, has one of “the most important titles of all: homemaker” and stays home to raise their two children.

Kuch, for her part, took issue with how Butker name-dropped Taylor Swift, only referring to the 34-year-old pop star as the girlfriend of his teammate Travis Kelce. (Butker briefly quoted Swift’s 2022 song “Bejeweled” in his graduation speech.)

“When my husband got drafted in the NFL, people stopped asking me what I did for work. The second he got the call to sign with the Los Angeles Raiders was the second I became ‘Isaac Rochell’s wife,” Kuch, who started dating Rochell in college, said via her own TikTok video. “The past seven years, I have worked my ass off — not only to chase my dreams and be successful — but also to make a name for myself, so I’m not just somebody’s ‘wife.’”

Kuch added, “I’m not an NFL wife [and] that shouldn’t be what my entire life succumbs to. I choose to follow my husband to whatever state football brings him to. … Along the way, I have made it a priority to make sure I am following my own dreams, as well.
