Tyreek Hill was very vocal on social media during his former team’s AFC Championship victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Once the result was official, the Miami Dolphins superstar shouted out Patrick Mahomes II and Andy Reid on X.

“15 and Andy know how to win games,” Hill said, calling Mahomes by his jersey number.

Moments later, he also voiced that he’s “sick for Lamar [Jackson] though 🥹.”

Throughout the game, Hill credited Kansas City Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo and wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, as well as Jackson and Ravens wideout Zay Flowers. The night before on January 27, he predicted a “Chiefs and [Detroit] Lions Super Bowl.”

Hill has been nothing but respectful toward Mahomes and Kansas City since the Wild Card loss at Arrowhead Stadium — but there have been questions of strife between the playmaker and his ex-teammates following the trade that brought him to Miami.

The “Cheetah” explained the new Dolphins-Chiefs rivalry that is more loving than hostile earlier this season. He first cleared the air during the November 9 episode of his podcast, “It Needed To Be Said.”

“That’s one thing about me, man. I’m gonna talk my trash, but also, I’m going to give credit where credit is due,” Hill voiced at the time, revealing a friendly conversation with Chris Jones after the loss in Germany.

“That defense, they fly,” he continued. “They get to the ball — like even on my first screen pass. When I caught that first pass, usually when I catch it, I can make the first guy miss, but I caught it and Willie [Gay] was just shooting quick.”

Later, Hill expressed that “the banter that I had with Pat [and] the banter I had with Chris Jones this offseason when we were going back and forth with the trash talk… it’s friendly banter.”

“If I actually had beef with somebody, you would never know about it,” the wide receiver went on. “I would want to keep all that under the scope, under the radar. That’s between me and you, and I’d want us to handle that like men.”

Having said that, Hill has also admitted interest in building up the Chiefs and Dolphins rivalry for the sake of the sport.

“I feel like this is football’s new rivalry,” he told reporters on November 5. “So, it was a fun day to play football in [Germany]. Had a blast.”

Patrick Mahomes Acknowledges ‘Competitive Fire’ Between Tyreek Hill & Chiefs

Mahomes had a similar take on this friendly rivalry ahead of round one of the 2024 playoffs.

“I mean, we’re competitors,” the superstar signal-caller said of his current relationship with Hill. “I have that fire, that competitive fire when [I’m] on the football field and he’s the same way — that’s what makes him so great.”

“We’re still friends in the offseason and everything like that,” Mahomes added, “but when you play on the field, you’re trying to compete to win. That’s just kind of how it is.”

If there was any bad blood between Hill and the Chiefs, both sides seem to have squashed it heading into the new year. Hill’s recent social media posts only confirm that the Super Bowl champion wide receiver has no problem seeing KC succeed without him.

Or if he does, he doesn’t want anyone to know about it.

Not even halfway through the AFC Championship Game in Baltimore, Travis Kelce broke Jerry Rice’s record for most postseason receptions in NFL history.

The 34-year-old went into Sunday’s game with 145 receptions, 1,694 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns in his playoff career, trailing the Hall of Famer Rice in each category.

With seven early catches, Kelce brought his tally up to 152, surpassing Rice’s 151 before halftime. Kelce also scored the game’s first points with a touchdown, bringing him eight shy of Rice’s 29 playoff touchdown receptions.

Kelce achieved the feat in front of his family and popstar girlfriend Taylor Swift, who is attending her 12th Chiefs game of the season.

After breaking the record, the NFL shared a graphic which referenced Swift’s 2022 album ‘Midnights’ to honor Kelce’s achievement. The rendition, which they captioned ‘Playoff Receptions Record (Travis’ Version)’ featured a closeup picture of Kelce, with the text written in Chiefs colors and a picture of Rice on the left hand side.

Before Sunday, Kelce broke a seven-game scoring drought by tallying two touchdowns in an all-time classic with the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round.

Against Buffalo, Kelce totaled five receptions for 75 yards in his 12th consecutive playoff game with at least five catches. Having caught seven passes early in Baltimore, Kelce tied Julian Edelman (13 consecutive games) for the longest streak of five-reception games in the postseason.

After connecting for both touchdowns against the Bills, Kelce and Patrick Mahomes became the highest-scoring quarterback-receiver duo in playoff history. They have now connected for 17 postseason touchdowns after surpassing Gronkowski and Tom Brady’s 15.

There may be more records to break for Kelce as he is a touchdown away from surpassing Rob Gronkowski in postseason games with multiple touchdown receptions. While both tight ends are tied with four, overtaking Gronkowski would tie Kelce on top with Rice’s five.

Kelce is also edging closer to Rice’s 2,245 playoff receiving yards.

A win against Baltimore will set Kansas City up on their second straight Super Bowl appearance with a chance to win back-to-back titles.

Chris Jones, defensive tackle for Chiefs, was puffing on a cigar in the locker room after the game. He secured a $1million bonus through his team reaching the Super Bowl.

Meanwhile Justin Reid took a moment to get a picture alongside Steve Spagnuolo, the defensive coordinator for the Chiefs who oversaw the masterplan that shackled Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Reid also retweeted a tribute to Spagnuolo on X from former NFL player Ryan Clark, which said: ‘Steve Spagnuolo is the best big game defensive coordinator of our time!! Salute to him. He’s done it against the greatest, the best, and most dominant. He’s made them all look human, average, & amateur. He’s that dude. This defense was lights out!’

Reid and Jones were seen walking around the locker room wearing ‘In Spags We Trust’ t-shirts.

The man himself was humbled by the t-shirt, saying: ‘I’m so proud of the players, I’m so happy.

‘I was humbled and embarrassed (by the t-shirts) to be quite honest with you. But those guys had fun with it. Thank god we ended up doing well.’

Amid the celebrations, they also had the Detroit Lions vs. San Francisco 49ers playing on an iPad as they waited to find out who they would play next month in Vegas.

‘We’ve got a lot of guys on this team that know how to win. When the playoffs get around, they’re here to make it happen. And now we’re in the Super Bowl. The job’s not done.’
