Jason Kelce has been the king of emotional postgame moments across the past couple weeks, and this time it was for something pretty awesome.

Cameras caught the Philadelphia Eagles beloved center embracing his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, on the field following the Chiefs AFC title game win over the Baltimore Ravens.

His message was about what you would expect.

“Finish this (expletive),” he told his brother in the embrace.

“This (expletive)” would be, of course, the Super Bowl.

Travis responded with some colorful language, too, before saying, “I love you big dog.”

Yes, he curses, but it’s raw emotion and what Eagles fans love so much, along with the fact that Kelce is an absolute monster on the offensive line, about that guy.

All of this comes just weeks after Jason Kelce was caught in tears near the end of the Eagles playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Speculation continue to be that may have been his final game in the NFL.

The Philadelphia Eagles have hired Kellen Moore as their new offensive coordinator, just days after they fired Brian Johnson following their Wild Card Round defeat

The Philadelphia Eagles have chosen Kellen Moore, ex-defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Chargers and Dallas Cowboys, to lead their offence in the 2024 season. This decision comes after the Eagles quickly sacked Brian Johnson following a disappointing end to the season.

The Eagles, last year’s NFC Champions, suffered a crushing defeat to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card Round. Hurts and his team could only scrape together nine points against the Bucs, ending their season in the worst possible way.

Just days later, Moore was out and rumours about Sirianni’s future wouldn’t stop. With Bill Belichick and Mike Vrabel available, sacking Sirianni seemed like a real possibility for the franchise. However, team owner Jeffrey Lurie decided to keep Sirianni and sack his offensive and defensive coordinators instead.

Firstly, the Eagles hired Vic Fangio as the new defensive coordinator, then they completed the set by snatching Moore from the Chargers.

This move will impact incoming Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh, who was hired to return to the NFL earlier this week. Now, Moore has the job of helping Hurts rediscover his talent after a tough season with a career-high 15 interceptions.

The two new team members mean Sirianni has to show what he’s made of this season. He’s feeling the pressure, especially with big names like Belichick and Vrabel possibly waiting to step in.

Talking about the challenge, the coach shared: “In my mind, you better believe I’m thinking, ‘how do I re-prove myself?’”

He added: “I was a young coach that Mr. [Jeff] Lurie and Howie [Roseman] and this organization trusted to give the job to. I had to prove myself that this guy can lead the organization like they asked me to. I had to prove myself from then.”

Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce hasn’t officially announced his retirement, but the thought is definitely on his mind this offseason.

Regardless of what he decides to do next, Kelce admitted he wants to remain involved with the Eagles one way or another.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen for me. But I do know, I still want to be involved in the organization and still want to be a part of it, regardless of what the decision is,” Kelce said, via The Philadelphia Inquirer. “Because I don’t want to ever feel like I’m on the outside looking in on these achievements and these accolades and these opportunities that largely represent entire cities and fan bases and organizations. It’s too good a feeling to pass up.”

The 36-year-old has spent his entire 13 years in the NFL with the Eagles. It seems like it would be fitting for Kelce to remain with the team after all that time.

A report came out after the Eagles lost in the wild-card round to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that Kelce was set to retire, but he ended up pushing back a bit, saying he hasn’t officially decided. It sounds like he is still contemplating his next move.
