Suns’ Devin Booker Breaks His Silence On Klay Thompson Playing For Dallas Mavericks Next Season

A year ago, one couldn’t have imagined Klay Thompson in a jersey other than the Blue and Yellow. But now the veteran has bid his former franchise, the Warriors, goodbye and will soon share the locker room with the Dallas Mavericks players. As much as it is hard for NBA fans to envision the swingman in entirely different colors, so it is for the Suns’ Devin Booker.

When he was asked by the media about Klay’s new home, the 27-year-old guard said, “It’s gonna take some adjusting. He’s [Klay] one of those players where you can’t imagine him outside of the jersey he was drafted in.”

Booker continued to add, “It’s a new opportunity for him. I’m sure he’s going to take full advantage of it. I’m looking forward to matching up against him in a different jersey, and he’s somebody that I’ve spoke highly about for a very long time.”

Among the many suitors, Klay Thompson, the 4-time champion chose to settle down with the Mavs despite getting financially better opportunities elsewhere. The potential aim for the 34-year-old is to acquire the championship title which seems possible for him with the Dallas duo Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

Though that is supposedly not the reason for his split up with the team, he proved his loyalty to. Now that he will be appearing with a new line up other changes will follow.

Klay Thompson’s Jersey Number in Mavs

From his arrival in the league, Klay Thompson has been a member of the Warriors donning the no. 11 jersey. However, as he decided to move on to the next chapter of his journey with the Western Conference champions, Klay needed a new number to begin with.

Since Irving is the rightful owner of the no. 11 Mavs jersey, Klay will be reportedly settling with no. 31. The jersey has been previously worn by the franchise’s legendary figures, and the All-Star swingman is also expected to leave the same legacy.

Klay Thompson quickly agreed to get on board with the Mavs for a $50 million contract which would to three years. The ex-Warriors man is likely to form the Big 3 along with Doncic and Irving which could result in the success that the Dallas side was hoping to achieve in the 2024 NBA Finals series.

  • Cara Delevingne Is a ‘Frontrunner’ to Be Taylor Swift’s Maid of Honor Someday: ‘There’s No One Better’

Cara Delevingne Is a ‘Frontrunner’ to Be Taylor Swift’s Maid of Honor Someday: ‘There’s No One Better’

Taylor Swift has always had a ton of time for Cara Delevingne through the years, but lately, the pair have become quite inseparable. The supermodel has assumed senior status within the squad and looks a good bet to be a bridesmaid when the pop superstar eventually marries Travis Kelce, a source exclusively tells Life & Style.

    Image

“Taylor adores Cara. She was one of the people really pulling for her when she went through her hard time and she’s never forgotten that,” the insider says. “There’s a lot of mutual respect between them. Cara really looks up to her and is so in awe of all that she’s achieved.”

The source reveals that the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker, 34, and the Paper Towns actress, 31, “went through a time where they didn’t see as much of each other, but they always stayed in touch.”

“And whenever Cara’s name comes up, Taylor is quick to praise her as one of her favorite people in the world. She says Cara has so much depth than people give her credit for, and she loves how she can make the simplest things so much fun,” the insider continues.

    Image

Now that Taylor is getting serious with boyfriend Travis, 34, whom she began dating in July 2023, it’s looking more and more likely that she’ll walk down the aisle to marry the NFL star. That means she’ll have to select bridesmaids and a maid of honor from her huge squad, but the source says Cara is a contender.

“Taylor’s going to have a big decision to make when it comes to choosing her maid of honor. Everyone’s assuming it will be Blake Lively, but the way things are shaping up these days, Cara’s a frontrunner,” the insider notes, adding that the two “really bonded” during Taylor’s recent trip to visit her pal in London.

“One of the most important jobs for the maid of honor is planning the bachelorette party and keeping Taylor calm and happy during the big day, and there’s no one better for that than Cara,” the source concludes. “Travis would be smart to make a friend out of Cara because she’s someone Taylor relies on for advice. If he has her on his side, he won’t go wrong.”

Taylor quietly flew to London to support Cara in her final performance as Sally Bowles in the West End production of Cabaret on May 31. The “Fortnight” hitmaker had just wrapped a set of shows in Spain. Her appearance at Playhouse Theater’s Kit Kat Club in London was confirmed by the theater’s head of marketing, Arthur Jones, on X.

“Taylor Swift?? Was supporting Cara Delevingne?? At Cabaret?? TONIGHT??!!” a fan wrote on the social media platform, to which Arthur responded, “Can confirm. A special night.”

Weeks later, Taylor returned to The Big Smoke for a girls’ night out with Cara, Kate Moss, Lena Dunham, Stella McCartney, Andrew Scott, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Danielle and Este Haim and Chrissie Hynde at Argentinian restaurant Casa Cruz on June 11 ahead of her Eras tour shows in Liverpool, England.

Taylor and Cara seemingly met at the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and they’ve been supporting each other ever since. The supermodel has even shared her thoughts on the Grammy winner’s relationship with Travis – and she’s totally on board.

“I’m so, so happy for her,” Cara told E! News at the Las Vegas Grand Prix race in November 2023. “There’s definitely something very different about them. I’m always rooting for my girl.”

Bronny James made his Summer league debut on Saturday night against the Kings. The expectations were high to see James Jr. but things didn’t go according to plan for the Lakers’ new recruit.

During the first quarter, with 6:38 remaining on the clock, the Kings charged into the Lakers area. Bronny James on guard duty became the unfortunate recipient of ridicule as he seemingly had an ankle-breaker moment. The 19-year-old almost lost balance to find himself in no man’s land only to see the opponent score.

Bronny ended the game with only 4 points and scored 2 out of 9 attempts from the field in the 22 minutes of participation. But his embarrassing moment soon went viral and the naysayers were ready to strike.

Social Media Reacts to Bronny James’ Embarrassing Moment

If his awful shooting and underwhelming outing weren’t enough, the aforementioned moment hogged the spotlight. Netizens flocked to social media to swarm the guard and left their unforgiving comments on X (formerly known as Twitter)

“THAT DEFENSE WAS TOUGH…. TO WATCH”, commented a user after witnessing the moment.

    “Gah damn”, commented another.

Another user wrote, “Three years guaranteed, folks. Three years guaranteed,” taking a dig at Bronny’s Lakers contract.

“Bron watching his son skate first game”, highlighted a fourth.

“No way bro almost got his ankles broken in the first quarter,” a fan wrote.

“Lmao it is just summer league”, wrote one giving the ominous warning before Bronny heads to the NBA.

Despite the poor outing for Bronny, there is still time as the Summer League is for development and improvement. And no improvement comes overnight. For Bronny though, he and the Lakers can only hope that this was the first and the last of such performances.

  • What happened to my daughter in front of Taylor Swift was every parent’s worst nightmare

What happened to my daughter in front of Taylor Swift was every parent’s worst nightmare

What happened to my daughter in front of Taylor Swift was every parent’s worst nightmare

Being metres from the stage at the Eras tour should’ve been a night to remember. Instead it was a night to forget, writes Amelia Loulli

It was the Taylor Swift Eras Tour, London, night three. After queuing up outside all day in the scorching heat, my two teenage daughters and I had managed to position ourselves second row from the front. We were a couple of hours into dancing and singing our hearts out when my eldest had a seizure.

While 85,000 Swifties screamed the lyrics they know by heart, the way most people know their loved ones’ phone numbers, Sophia – who had told me moments before that she didn’t feel well – was on the wet, sticky plastic flooring of Wembley Stadium.

Sophia, who’s 19, is epileptic. It isn’t photo-sensitive and she had been given the medical all-clear to attend this concert – the most epic night of her life – but I still immediately felt stupid for bringing her and her younger sister Ellie (who’s only 14) here; for putting us in this vulnerable position.

The medics soon arrived. I was about to administer Sophia’s emergency medication when one of them attempted to lift her onto the shaky, turquoise wheelchair he arrived with. This is when having a child with a disability as unpredictable as epilepsy really tests your abilities to function under pressure. Even there, surrounded by all these screaming strangers, with my daughter’s idol just metres away from us, I had to retain the awareness and communication skills to be able to question the attending medical professionals.

I told him we mustn’t move her while she was seizing. But he was impatient, given we were surrounded by thousands of people, so I got the medication into her there and then and – moments after her body began to soften and relax – he heaved her up onto the chair. The crowd behind us parted like a slick piece of choreography and I was told to walk in front, holding my daughter’s hand, while the wheelchair clipped the back of my legs like an aggressive dog. There was no time to look back and I could only wonder if my other daughter and the (adult) friend we’d travelled with were keeping up behind us.

Sophia was treated at a hospital in London

I was so sad to be leaving the concert early – mostly because I knew my girls would be devastated. I knew what this night had meant to them and to me – emotionally, financially. It’d taken an awful lot to be there. We’d driven five hours from the north of England, stayed in a hotel overnight, then queued up in front of the stadium for eight hours in the blazing sunshine to get prime position in front of the barriers. We didn’t even get to see the unforgettable moment Travis Kelce came out to join her on stage.

People might say it’s only a concert, but to my girls it was a moment to be joyful after all the challenges we’ve navigated over the past year of chronic illnesses. It was supposed to be a night of songs and sequins and sparkles and friendship bracelets and joy. And, at least for the start of it, it was a night of pure elation and we were a happy part of the Swiftie family. Until it wasn’t.

Suddenly, we were being sped round to the medical centre at the back of the stadium then bundled off to hospital. We were told by medics that only one person could travel with Sophia in the ambulance, and the others would have to make their own way there – without a car; while 100,000 people were beginning to exit the stadium. In the end, they offered to point my friend to the best place to get a cab, which turned out to be an area where all roads were shut. They had to walk half an hour to get a Tube, shaken and confused.

A few hours later, exhausted and heartbroken and in some random London hospital, I could only think – how did we get here? And how is this fair?

When we booked the tickets a year ago my daughter hadn’t been diagnosed as epileptic. I opted for the only tickets available to us in the pure stress of the rapid Swift lottery – four VIP “Ready For It” package tickets, which cost enough to give me heart palpitations. But it felt important and precious to us as a family – as a single parent raising teenagers – so I made plans to pay the tickets off and clicked “purchase”.

Amelia and her daughters were two rows from the front when Sophia had a seizure

By the time my daughter received her epilepsy diagnosis, the disabled access tickets were all sold out, so we were left with a dilemma. To go or not to go? This is a predicament less able-bodied people will likely know well. To miss out or not to miss out? To tear her dreams apart or risk it? According to my daughter’s doctor, there were no medical grounds for her not to attend the concert – her medication was in place and the truth is, epilepsy is like other disabilities: something you can only learn to navigate.

We did our best to plan around all eventualities and, after a long day of queuing, we made it into the arena. It was immediately clear what we were in for: we were not allowed to take any water in with us and in order to get a decent view, we would have to stay in the places at the front we had so sorely earned, relying on the small quantities of water being given out by staff and avoiding the toilets for the next six hours. Competition to take our spot was aggressive and we would be very unlikely to get back to our place – and to each other – once the concert began.

I was worried for my daughter, but she was feeling well, so I kept my fingers crossed. I know some people will say we didn’t have to get a good view from the front. They might berate us for queuing for so long in the summer heat. But shouldn’t my daughter also be able to enjoy a good view at a concert? Shouldn’t people whose bodies behave differently also be able to be a part of iconic experiences that matter to them?

When she went down, I felt all the hopes she and her younger sister had carried down from Cumbria to London go with her. They had been looking forward to experiencing the wristband lights and fireworks they had seen all over TikTok. They had detailed plans to collect some confetti from the closing number in order to make a memory box. They had believed for a while that we could exist among all those people, enjoying something so special – that we could get away with it without the epilepsy spoiling everything.

Ableism in society is rife; accessibility is about more than ramps and audio support technologies. I knew it when my 17-year-old son, who lives with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), decided a few weeks before the big night that he wouldn’t be joining us at all. We were disappointed but I understood; to expect him to queue for that long – to stand in a confined place with 85,000 people when he struggles some days to leave his bedroom – would be expecting too much. But I saw it to its full extent when with my daughter, right in front of the biggest star on the planet.

I wouldn’t want to be Taylor Swift – coping with that level of fame and expectation must be tricky indeed. She can’t possibly please everyone. But maybe it’s time the most powerful influencers began to look at how ableist the culture we take for granted really is? Maybe it’s time to notice who isn’t at these types of concerts – the fans who can’t endure the demands of such an extreme endurance challenge.

Do people like my daughter not deserve to be at the barrier, experiencing “Shake it Off” and “Fearless” live, like the rest of us?

Of course, we are living with challenges other people are not. It’s nobody’s fault. But there has to be a way to be more inclusive.

I don’t have answers for how to make this better – I wish I did, for my daughter’s sake. But when I think about the power and resources of a groundbreaking artist like Taylor Swift – who just this year attained billionaire status for the first time – I can’t help but think that it must be possible to make things easier for families like mine.

There must be a way to demand – and fund – a tour that offers a more radical approach for people with health conditions or disabilities who dream of seeing their idols up close; of hearing their favourite music live.

There must be a better, fairer way than having to suffer queuing for hours on hot pavements and in front of barriers; needing water. Taylor knows “All Too Well” what her concerts mean to her fans and how much they love her. Isn’t it time for artists to find a way to give some of that love back?

‘I’ve seen better singers and musicians than Taylor Swift in my time, but she has something that blows other stars away,’ Piers wrote (Getty Images)

First, it was Rishi Sunak and his Adidas Sambas. Then Nigel Farage and his Gazelles. Now Piers Morgan has gone and tainted Taylor Swift for us – will the horror never end?

In a gushing column, the controversial TV host wrote: “I’ve seen better singers and musicians than Taylor Swift in my time, but she has something that blows other stars away.”

This kind of public endorsement by unpopular figures can be the death knell for stars like Swift.

While I’m not a diehard Swiftie, I’ve always enjoyed her – but now, following in the wake of Donald Trump and Rishi Sunak, Morgan’s fawning after attending one of her Eras concerts and I feel a bit… well… sullied. That might sound petty. It might sound petulant. It might even sound a touch dramatic, but Morgan’s popular cultural tastes are pretty off-point – and now I’m doubting mine.

Not content with spoiling Baby Reindeer with his “excruciating” and “unethical” intervew with the “real Martha” Fiona Harvey and then turning my stomach with his constant mawkish deferential gushing over anyone in the royal family – apart from Meghan and Harry, obviously – he’s now smeared Swifties with the same mucky brush.

Now, I know it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Morgan’s turned Swiftie. She is one of the most prominent celebrities of the 21st century – and her concerts are amazing. But can’t we just have one thing? Piers Morgan must not be allowed to “do a Rishi” and singlehandedly take down a beloved cultural classic like Sunak in his Sambas.

Where will it end? Matt Hancock’s already tried to infiltrate TikTok – and let’s not even mention the time he claimed to be a grime fan who “knew the power of the UK’s urban music scene”. David Cameron tried to ruin The Smiths – too late, Cameron! Morrisey already ruined them for us. Then Theresa May tried to take down the mighty ABBA with her jaunty co-option of the “Dancing Queen” classic.

What next? Jacob Rees-Mogg sporting a Kendrick Lamar t-shirt? Suella Braverman stanning Jarvis Cocker? Esther McVey bopping to The Clash? Is nothing sacred anymore?

Through 14 years of Tory rule, we’ve stood for plenty: the desecration of the NHS. The collapse of mental health care. An education system in crisis. Children in living in poverty. Nurses using food banks. We’ve stood for all this and more. But now… they’re coming for our pop culture. We’re mad as hell and we’re not going to take it, anymore.

But perhaps that’s the problem? Taylor Swift has taken hold of the political centre. Loved by the right wing and lefties alike, she’s become the great pop cultural harmoniser – and giver of popular clout for politicians and pundits alike. Swift’s cultural influence has become so pervasive that it’s even been suggested that she could swing the 2024 presidential election.

Well, Rishi and friends certainly need a bit of that sparkle in the run up to the elections. Sunak, too, claims he’s “a devoted Swiftie” and reportedly saw her in concert in LA last year. And then Keir Starmer posted a selfie of him and his wife at Swift’s Wembley concert last Friday. Everyone, it seems, wants a piece of the Swift these days. But neither of them, as far as I’m aware, have topped former prime minister Liz Truss and managed to snag a selfie with the legend herself.

After being politics averse for much of her career, Swift is also becoming more vocal. In 2016-2016, you might remember, there were loads of conspiracy theories about Taylor Swift’s links to white supremacy. But Swifty put paid to that by publicly embracing leftist politics. The far right may have rejected her – in fact, Trump supporters are declaring a “Holy War” on her, apparently.

Still, Piers Morgan’s new found admiration for Taylor Swift may be short-lived: just look at his sustained campaign of hatred against Meghan Markle. Doesn’t matter, though, Taylor will just shake it off. It’s what she does best.

Taylor knows “All Too Well” what her concerts mean to her fans and how much they love her. Isn’t it time for artists to find a way to give some of that love back?

Michael Jordan’s wife, Yvette Prietto, was turning heads in her attractive green outfit after stepping off the former NBA superstar’s mega-yacht in Barcelona, Spain.

Jordan and Prieto are enjoying a holiday in said European country while they try to win the Euros, having set up a date with France scheduled for this Tuesday.

The pair, who celebrated their 11th anniversary in April, were pictured holding hands as they stepped off the vessel, branded “M’BRACE,’ which is worth a reported $115 million.

MJ wore a light green shirt and black pants with a presumably expensive timepiece, while his wife donned a green and purple outfit over a white crop top.

You can see photos of them right below:

They also took a photo with Jordan’s mom, Deloris, brothers, James Jr and Larry, and his sister, Roslyn, while aboard the yacht.

Michael Jordan & Yvette Prieto Are Going On 12 Years

Michael Jordan and Yvette Prieto got married in April 2013 in Florida and have 10-year-old twin daughters, Victoria and Ysabel.  The former Chicago Bulls high-flyer had proposed two years earlier. It’s said he had her sign a stiff prenuptial agreement given the way his first marriage ended.

They enjoyed a vacation in Europe around the same time last year, heading to Italy with their twins.

Meanwhile, Jordan has taken his foot off the gas with the Charlotte Hornets, having sold his majority ownership stake in the team last year. So he should have way more time for such getaways with his wife and kids going forward.

Taylor Swift Unsure Travis Kelce Wants to Marry, Won’t Wait After Joe Alwyn ‘Dragging His Feet’ Trauma: See More…

During their nearly year-long relationship, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have become synonymous with star-studded date nights, high-profile outings, and glamorous jet-setting.

However, according to an insider at Life & Style, Swift is reportedly transitioning into a new phase focused on settling down. The singer, however, is not sure Kelce is on the same page as her.

“Taylor is head over heels in love with Travis,” the insider said. “She doesn’t want to waste more time, so she needs to make sure they’re on the same page about getting married.”

The insider disclosed that Swift, 34, has communicated her intentions to Kelce, also 34, having learned from the challenges of her previous relationship.

During her six-year romance with actor Joe Alwyn, Taylor had hoped for a proposal fervently, the insider explained, but eventually accepted it wasn’t forthcoming.

“Taylor changed so many things to accommodate Joe – she moved to London and agreed to reel in her outgoing personality because he was more of a homebody,” the insider said.

“They’d spoken about starting a family and she patiently waited for him to propose. Every time Joe would arrange a romantic vacation or quiet dinner, she imagined the time had come. But after almost seven years, Joe was dragging his feet and she had to walk away.”

In contrast to what she did for Alwyn however, Swift is not planning to wait indefinitely for Travis, the insider noted.

“She’s not expecting a proposal tomorrow, but she does want to know he’s as serious as she is when it comes to marriage.”

According to critcis, Travis represents a stark contrast to Alwyn. For one, he’s not afraid to broadcast his feelings for Swift.

He even appeared on the “Bussin’ With the Boys” podcast after joining Taylor Swift onstage in London and seemed to indirectly reference Joe’s reserved demeanor.

“It’s like, you want to keep things private, but at the same time, I’m not here to hide anything,” he said. “That’s my girl, that’s my lady, I’m proud of that!”

The only issue for critics is that he has not yet proposed. However, given that their relationship is not even for a year, a proposal might just seem to early. An earlier report already claimed that both Kelce and Swift are already way too pressured about the question of marriage, and is starting to be pissed at the topic.

‘Lakers Are Allergic to Getting FA’- NBA Fans Are Going Insane Over Los Angeles Lakers for Losing Another Free Agent

NBA fans are going insane for losing DeMar DeRozan

The Los Angeles Lakers have had a rough NBA offseason in 2024. It seems like every player they were interested in ended up signing with a different club. It is visible that GM Rob Pelinka had a hard time finalizing the free-agent deals. The Lakers missed out on getting Kyle Anderson and Buddy Hield, and now it looks like they will also miss out on DeMar DeRozan this season.

The Los Angeles Lakers have been the target of ridicule from supporters who feel the team should have gotten the mid-range master when he returned to the Western Conference. The 34-year-old was exactly who Lakers fans thought could help them win another championship. But, the Lakers’ pursuit of DeRozan was unsuccessful since he accepted a deal with the Sacramento Kings.

The Kings were able to acquire him as part of a three-team transaction involving the San Antonio Spurs and the Chicago Bulls. When this news started to spread online, angry Lakers supporters took to social media to express dissatisfaction. They teased the Los Angeles team on Twitter for losing out on DeMar DeRozan. One fan, DivvyBet, made a particularly harsh comment, saying, “LOL the Lakers are allergic to getting free agents.”

The teasing didn’t stop there. One fan posted a meme shot with the caption, “Another failed Lakers signing.”

Another expressed sympathy for LeBron, writing, “He should have gone to the Lakers. Bron must be so pissed at the front office. They landed no stars this offseason.”

Meanwhile, a frustrated fan named Intricateone commented, “Lakers can only draft second-round players.”

DeMar DeRozan Signs $74 Million Sign-and-Trade Deal with Kings After Bulls

Following a sign-and-trade deal involving the San Antonio Spurs, the Sacramento Kings have acquired six-time All-Star DeMar DeRozan from the Chicago Bulls. The Kings threw a ton of money at the power forward. Chris Haynes reports that his three-year, $76 million contract with the Kings is guaranteed at $59 million in the first two years and partly guaranteed in the third.

According to Lakers source Jovan Buha, the Lakers could only offer the non-taxpayer mid-level exception, which begins at $12.9 million for DeRozan. However, the power forward chose to play for the Kings to get the payday he was looking for.
