Kim Kardashian Looks Just Like Daughter North West in Throwback Video Shot by Khloé
“This is Kim. She’s really pretty. She’s gonna be famous when she grows up,” Khloé says
Kim Kardashian’s genes are strong.
The 43-year-old reality star’s throwback video proves not only that she’s always been ahead of the trends, but that her oldest daughter, North West, is the spitting image of her. In a Monday, May 27 Instagram post, Kim shared a black-and-white clip of herself as a young teen, with her sister Khloé Kardashian behind the camera.
“This is Kim,” Khloé can be heard saying. “She’s really pretty. She’s gonna be famous when she grows up.”
“Oh, I know that,” Kim replies with a laugh.
In the clip (taken well before the family’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians fame) the SKIMS founder rocks a number of ‘90s style trends that have come back strong in recent years, including an oversized flannel shirt, layered choker necklaces and piece-y hairstyle.
Fans also can’t help but notice how much Kim looks like her 10-year-old daughter, North. “So much Northie in this!!!” one user wrote in the comments. Another commenter added, “All I see is Northie.”
Others think young Kim more closely resembles her 6-year-old daughter Chicago, sharing comments like, “Chicago is literally your twin,” and “That’s Chicago when she gets older.”
Kim shares four children with her ex-husband Kanye West; daughters North, 10, and Chicago, 6, and sons Saint, 8, and Psalm, 5.

North has taken after her mother in more ways than one. Aside from their look-alike moments, Kim’s oldest daughter has kicked off her career as a performer.
On May 24 and 25, the 10-year-old starred as Simba in a two-day live production of The Lion King at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. It was announced she was joining the concert event (which celebrates the Disney film’s 30th anniversary) earlier this month alongside franchise veterans Billy Eichner, Bradley Gibson, Ernie Sabella, Jason Weaver, Jeremy Irons, Nathan Lane and newcomers Heather Headley and Lebo M. with Jennifer Hudson as a special guest.
Kim shared a series of behind-the-scenes moments from the show, including flowers and treats that had been gifted to North in celebration of her stage debut. She also posted a sweet video of North fixing her sister Chicago’s hair backstage.
After over 15 years as a reality TV star (not to mention beauty and fashion mogul), Kim made her foray into acting in 2023 as celebrity publicist Siobhan Corbyn in FX’s anthology series, American Horror Story: Delicate.
