He debuted a massive new tattoo last week.
And Aaron Carter was talked out of inking ‘the middle’ of his face after tattoo artist Herchell Carrasco pleaded with the singer for a different design, according to TMZ.
Herchell — who is also known as RockRollG — ended up recreating Rihanna’s Medusa GQ cover from 2013 on the side of the 31-year-old’s face and it seems Aaron’s pretty pleased with the impressive work as he flaunted the art alongside a mystery woman on Instagram.
Aaron reportedly booked Herchell to come to his home on Friday night for a private session on his torso which would set him back approximately $3,000.
While Carter changed his mind and was set on a design in the middle of his face, ‘nothing really went according to plan’ and Herchell ended up talking him into work on ‘the side of the face’ instead.
Herchell wasn’t too worried about Aaron’s mental state as he said all seemed well with the Candy singer.
‘Before I tattoo anyone, I take into consideration their mental state,’ he said ‘In Aaron’s case, I assessed the situation and I genuinely felt he was in a good place mentally to get tattooed.’
After completing Medusa, he also tattooed Love below his eye and a crescent moon design by his ear, and Carter paid the artist $5,000 for his work.
Aaron and his new brunette sidekick created a short video shared to social media on Monday night.
While she kept to the background, he addressed some accusatory words from No Jumper podcast host Adam John Grandmaison (who goes by the moniker Adam22.)
‘To be honest I’m a little upset at some of the things that you said and if you want to you know do a recap about an interview and stuff about that interview I would appreciate it if you would do it with me in person and not behind my back,’ he wrote in a lengthy caption.
Aaron and Adam sat down last week to discuss a myriad of topics including Tekashi 6ix9ine, the end of his relationship with Backstreet Boys brother Nick, his well-being and new music.
‘The comments on our interview or foul and not true and I really wish people wouldn’t do what they are doing. We can have another chat if you want,’ he added.
