BREAKING: Golden State Warriors Teams Up Stephen Curry With $114 Million Star In Blockbuster Trade Proposal That Would Put The Entire NBA On Notice

According to recent reports by Grant Hughes of Bleacher Report, the Golden State Warriors are looking to trade their power forward Andrew Wiggins for Atlanta Hawks guard Dejounte Murray in a trade set for June 25th.
“The peak version of Andrew Wiggins is probably worth more to the Warriors than the peak version of Dejounte Murray. But it’s been a long time since Wiggins was the team’s second-best player during its 2022 championship run. The Hawks would be gambling on Wiggins rediscovering his top form, but they’d also be executing the backcourt breakup that everyone has been speculating about for months. At the very least, the idea of Wiggins as a defensive stopper on the wing makes more sense than running it back with Murray and Trae Young at the guard spots.” Hughes wrote in his latest report.
NBA Analyst Says Warriors-Hawks Trade Equally Beneficial
The performance of the Golden State Warriors has been on the decline since winning their seventh championship in the 2021-22 season. In the 2022-23 season, the team made it to the Western Conference semifinals but ultimately lost to the seventh-seeded Los Angeles Lakers in six games. During the 2023-24 season, the Warriors fared even worse, ending their season with a 118-94 defeat to the Sacramento Kings in the NBA play-in tournament. Following their elimination, the team started changing the roster in hopes of winning the championship next season.
Hughes stated that the deals for Wiggins and Murray are equally valuable. He added that acquiring the 2028 first-round pick would greatly benefit the Hawks. Additionally, he mentioned that adding Murray to the roster would greatly benefit their players. The departure of Klay Thompson and Chris Paul will be overcome by the addition of Murray. He also asserted that Murray would support the star player of the Warriors, Stephen Curry, in some difficult matches.
Another NBA insider provided insight into the Warriors’ plans for the next season, stating that the team has no intention of parting with Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, Brandin Podziemski, or Trayce Jackson-Davis.
