“Very excited,” Reynolds said of attending Swift’s show in the Spanish capital later this month

Ryan Reynolds is heading to Madrid!

While promoting his new movie IF alongside costars John Krasinski and Cailey Fleming on May 14, the actor, 47, revealed on Today with Hoda and Jenna that he will be attending Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in the Spanish capital later this month.

Reynolds’ comments came as Fleming, 17, spoke about being a Swiftie and revealed she was wearing friendship bracelets from the pop star’s show during the interview.

“This one’s from her concert but it says Bea on it. Our opener’s name was Bea,” the actress said. “I think I blacked out,” she added, recalling the great time she had at the 34-year-old’s show.

“I’m getting to see her again in October and I’m so excited,” she said, to which Reynolds added, “Best concert on planet Earth.”

Krasinski, 44, also noted that he was heading to a show in August. “My daughters were like, ‘Your movie’s good but when are we going to Taylor?’ ” The actor and producer shares daughters Hazel, 10, and Violet, 7, with wife Emily Blunt.

“I’m about to go to the Madrid show,” Reynolds then revealed. “Very excited, my wife and kids have been to five of them, five or six now.”

Referring to his wife Blake Lively, who is best pals with Swift, and their four children, he added, “They love it, they’re obsessed.”

“This will be my first because this last year and a half I’ve been trapped in a non-stop work bubble and it’s a problem,” he said lightheartedly. “I’m getting help, I got help. Intervention is the word they’re using.”

Swift is set to play two shows in Madrid on May 29 and May 30 at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Reynolds, who shares daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4, and a fourth baby (whose name has not been revealed) with Lively, has previously spoken about his family’s love for Swift.

“Oh my God, yes. All of us, whole house, I’m not kidding. I love it so much,” he told Entertainment Tonight of Swift’s 2022 album Midnights. “I do, Blake does, my daughters. We love it. Obsessed.”

The “Fortnight” singer has also featured the couple’s kids in her music, with James having a voice cameo in Swift’s Reputation track “Gorgeous,” while James, Inez and Betty are all named-dropped in Folklore.

During his appearance on Today, the Deadpool & Wolverine actor also teased the name of his Lively’s newest addition with a nod to Swift.

“Taylor Swift keeps dropping it into lyrics!” said Savannah Guthrie of Reynolds and Lively’s children’s names, likely referring to Swift’s song “Betty” from Folklore.

Guthrie then asked Reynolds whether the new baby’s name is anywhere on Swift’s new album The Tortured Poets Department, to which he joked, “We always wait for Taylor to tell us what the child’s name is, and I’ll say this: We’re still waiting.”

Lively has been pictured hanging out with Swift on multiple occasions after they first connected in 2015. In February, the duo attended the 2024 Super Bowl together and were seen cheering on Swift’s Kansas City Chiefs tight end boyfriend Travis Kelce in his team’s victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
