Kylie, wed to Travis’ brother Jason Kelce since 2018, shared her joy over Travis’ newfound romance with Swift during her appearance on the April 1 episode of the Today show, alongside hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb.

“If Trav’s happy, we’re happy. We are always cheering on Uncle Trav,” Kylie, mother to three daughters with Jason, expressed to the Today cohosts. “It’s such a treat to be able to do that on and off the field. It’s been amazing.”

Attention has been fixed on Travis and Swift since the Kansas City Chiefs tight end disclosed on the “New Heights” podcast he hosts with Jason that he tried to exchange numbers with Swift after one of her Kansas City Eras Tour concerts last summer. Although their initial meeting plan faltered, the pair eventually connected and confirmed their relationship in September 2023—Swift was seen rooting for Travis alongside his mother, Donna Kelce, as the Chiefs triumphed over the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium.

“He’s happier than I’ve seen him in a long time,” Donna remarked to WSJ Magazine in November 2023 regarding Travis and Swift’s relationship. “God bless him. He shot for the stars!”

Despite Travis and Jason’s comfort with their mother meeting the pop star, they humorously recalled being alarmed when Swift engaged in conversation with their father, Ed Kelce, at a game the previous month.

“Yeah, Taylor talking to Dad,” Travis recounted to Jason on an October 2023 episode of New Heights. “You know Dad, like I know Dad—” “He shouldn’t be talking to Taylor Swift,” Jason quipped, adding, “This is a terrifying conversation. I felt terrible for Taylor for being in this.”

While the brothers teased their father, Jason playfully suggested their father told Swift, “Bless his heart.” He continued, “‘Now I’ve stolen all of your CDs out of the local library and burned them onto my computer.’”

Jason, who recently retired from the Philadelphia Eagles, paid tribute to his wife in a heartfelt speech on the night they met. “I won’t forget the Eagles’ Christmas party in 2014 and heading out afterwards with a bunch of my teammates to Buffalo Billiards where my life would change forever,” he reminisced, getting emotional. “That night, I’d meet my future wife. I still remember the moment she walked through the door—it was like she glided through the opening, an aura around her. Then she started talking, and I thought, ‘Man, is this what love feels like?’ She was beautiful and smart, serious yet playful. I knew it right away.”

Contrary to Jason’s romantic recollection, Kylie humorously recalled the night on Today, confirming that Jason actually dozed off at the bar.
