Recent reports have surfaced regarding NFL legend and recent retiree Jason Kelce’s future.
According to those reports, the former Super Bowl champion is set to join ESPN as an analyst for “Monday Night Countdown” starting this Fall.
On Jason and Travis Kelce’s podcast New Heights, Jason spoke Thursday morning about those recent reports.
“Time will kinda take care of that, but it’s a tremendous honor to even be considered to potentially work there. That network was everything that Travis and I watched growing up,” the former Philadelphia Eagle said.
If he does indeed become an analyst on Monday nights, the NFL world will be all the better for it.
This is one of the greatest offensive linemen in NFL history.
He will be somebody that will attract more viewers to the program because of what he did on the field for 13 seasons in Philadelphia.
His connection to the newer generation of NFL fans will help viewership absolutely skyrocket.
The six-time First-Time All-Pro would immediately be one of the best ex-players to work at ESPN.
It will be interesting to see who else will possibly be joining Kelce at the desk.
If ESPN could find a way to keep somebody like legend Larry Fitzgerald and a fantastic analyst like former quarterback Dan Orlovsky in the fold to go along with Kelce and host Scott Van Pelt, that would really make waves.
As Kelce said, time will take care of it all.
But this is an exciting development in the world of sports media.
