Another impressive fact comes out about the Kansas City Chiefs’ overtime, comeback win against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night.
Kansas City Chiefs Without Stud O Lineman For The Super Bowl
After Joe Thuney was ruled out, preventing him from playing in his 5th Super Bowl over the course of his career, backup guard, former 7th round draft pick, Nick Allegretti, was called into the line of duty.
However, what the public was not aware of, was that Allegretti was dealing with a fully torn UCL (elbow), suffered in the second quarter of the game, per Tom Pelissero.

According to Pelissero, Allegretti played every single offensive snap of the Big Game with what was now diagnosed as completely torn elbow, a borderline miraculous move that demonstrates the toughness of Allegretti and this Chiefs offensive line as a whole.
And, despite this, still put in a sterling performance, whilst on the other side, Kansas City Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo put almost constant pressure on opposing QB, Brock Purdy with the defensive line.
Congratulations to Allegretti for a beast like performance in Super Bowl LVIII.
