Cardi B Shares Reasons for Not Collaborating with Rihanna Yet, Teases Upcoming Record with Shakira
Cardi B, known for her candid nature, recently shared insights into her aspirations for collaborations and teased an upcoming project with Shakira.
Amidst promoting her latest single and video, “Enough,” the “Bodak Yellow” rapper took the opportunity to discuss her wishlist for potential musical collaborations. In a recent interview with Million Dollaz Worth of Game, conducted outdoors for a change of scenery, Cardi B revealed her admiration for fellow powerhouse artist Rihanna, expressing her desire to collaborate with her. However, she also candidly admitted why she hesitates to approach Rihanna for a collaboration.
“I love Rihanna’s music, but our styles are different,” Cardi B explained. “I don’t want to sound silly trying to imitate her style. Despite her reservations about collaborating with Rihanna, Cardi B shared her excitement about a different collaboration opportunity that has materialized. She disclosed that she has always dreamed of working with Shakira, and the opportunity unexpectedly presented itself. Fans can anticipate the release of their collaboration, scheduled for next week.
