Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion debuted their new single “Bongos” at the 2023 VMAs in a vibrant performance that brought the tropical vibes of their music video to life on stage.
Both artists, adorned in blue attire, were joined by dancers dressed in yellow-and-blue outfits, setting the scene for their energetic performance. Cardi made a drаmаtic entrance, descending onto the stage while holding onto a pole atop a large glowing ball. Once on stage, she delivered her verses from atop a small staircase flanked by columns, reminiscent of the architectural style seen in the music video, with palm trees serving as the backdrop.
As Cardi performed her part, Megan Thee Stallion joined in from another part of the stage, surrounded by palm trees, adding her signature flair to the performance. The duo eventually reunited on a walkway leading back to the main stage, where they showcased their twerking skills, much to the delight of the audience.
Throughout the performance, the cameras captured Taylor Swift dancing along to the song in the audience, further adding to the excitement of the moment.
This collaboration marks another successful partnership between Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, following their chart-topping Һit “WAP.” Both artists were nominated for multiple awards at the VMAs, highlighting their continued success in the music industry.
