Paige Spiranac made an intriguing offer to Major League Eating following the news of Joey Chestnut’s ban.

Chestnut has been given the boot ahead of the 2024 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest following his decision to partner with a rival brand, Impossible Foods. And Spiranac is ready to fill in.

The golf influencer reacted to the New York Post’s report on the ban by offering to replace Chestnut while revealing her dog-eating rate.

“I’m available to fill in. My record is 6.5 hotdogs in 10 minutes,” she wrote on X/Twitter.

Joey Chestnut “Gutted” Over Ban

Chestnut won said contest every year from 2007 to 2014. He’s also won it every year since 2016 and holds the record for the most dogs downed in a single sitting with 76. He only needed to eat 62 to retain his crown last year and was looking forward to another successful defense in 2024.

“I was gutted to learn from the media that after 19 years Im banned from the Nathan’s July 4th Hot Dog Eating Contest,” Chestnut said after news of the ban. “I love competing in that event, I love celebrating America with my fans all over this great country on the 4th and I have been training to defend my title.

“Sadly, this is the decision Nathan’s and Major League Eating are making, and it will deprive the great fans of the holiday’s usual joy and entertainment. To my fans, I love you and appreciate you. Rest assured that you’ll see me eat again soon!! STAY HUNGRY!”

Fortunately, MLE hasn’t shut the door completely.

“Joey Chestnut is an American hero,” they said in a statement.

“We would love nothing more than to have him at the Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest. We hope he returns when he is not representing a rival brand.”
