The Haverford Police Department has a new four-legged officer joining the team thanks in part to Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce.

After partnering with Kelce, his family, and car dealer Steve Videon of Videon Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram, the department welcomed 2-year-old, black Labrador retriever, Winnie.

According to the department, Winnie is a single-purpose narcotics detection dog, and she’s already out on the streets with her handler, Officer Patterson after she graduated from Iron Rose K9 Academy.

As part of the sponsorship, K-9 Winnie and Officer Patterson met with the NFL star, his family and Videon to showed off her skills.

The popular documentary, which follows Kelce, 36, as he navigated football and family behind the scenes in the NFL, was nominated for two awards at the upcoming 45th Sports Emmy Awards – outstanding long documentary and outstanding editing.

 

 

Also nominated for outstanding editing is HBO Max’s Hard Knocks season, which followed the New York Jets; Netflix’s Under Pressure: The U.S. Women’s World Cup Team; Unredeemable from the Golf Channel and Freeride Skiing.

For outstanding long documentary, Kelce is nominated alongside The Deepest Breath, which follows a champion free diver into the depth of the ocean; Full Circle, the story of a skier who was left permanently disabled in an accident; Saint of Second Chances, chronicling Mike Veeck’s eccentric life and Showtime’s Stand, the powerful story of basketball star and social activist Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf.

Also featured in Kelce are Jason’s parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, his wife. Kylie Kelce. and brother. Travis Kelce. as the family reveals personal stories and hardships from their journey to the NFL.

In October, Kelce debuted at No. 1 in the U.S. and has held its spot in the Top 5 since it premiered on Sept. 12, according to Deadline.

On an episode of their podcast New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce, Jason and Travis, 34, joked that the documentary’s success was in part thanks to Travis’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, and their then-budding romance.

At the time, Swift, 34, had just begun making appearances at Kansas City Chiefs games to cheer for Travis.

“By the way, the number one documentary of all time [on Amazon Prime] — did you see that, how crazy is that?,” Jason said on the podcast in October. “All because of you and me, doesn’t have anything to do with this Taylor Swift drama,” poking fun at his family’s newfound attention from the singer’s fans.

“Everybody is just so interested in the family dynamic,” Travis said of the film’s success on the October podcast episode.

Travis continued, “I thought that was pretty cool man. That’s fun to hang your hat on that. For those of you who don’t know, it’s the most-watched documentary ever on Amazon Prime Video.”

 

Among the major storylines in Kelce, the former Philadelphia Eagles star opened up about grappling with retirement and the subsequent emotions of hanging up his cleats.

He also spoke candidly about his concerns as a father to three young daughters — Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 12 months.

“I am fearful about what the impacts of playing football are going to mean long-term,” he shared in an emotional scene with retired Eagles player Connor Barwin in Kelce. “I have two girls and … some people end up getting CTE and some guys live long, healthy lives. I have no idea what’s gonna happen.”

On March 4, he officially called it a career and delivered a tearful 40-minute speech in front of friends and family, including his wife, brother and parents.

In his speech, in which Kelce paused many times to hold back tears, the NFL star spoke of the special relationship he has with his brother.

The 45th Annual Sports Emmy Awards ceremony, will be held May 21 at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall in New York City.

The WWE championship belt is becoming a bit of a fixture with the Kelce brothers. Most recently, Travis sported the belt back in February as his Kansas City Chiefs celebrated their second Super Bowl victory in as many years. It’s the third time this decade that the WWE has commissioned a special belt to a Super Bowl champion, as part of its partnership with the NFL — and in 2022, Travis donned the belt at Jason‘s expense, after the Chiefs defeated the Eagles in Super Bowl LVII.

But actress and talk show host Drew Barrymore, making her own surprise appearance at WrestleMania, had a special gift for Jason and longtime teammate Lane Johnson backstage at the Linc: the golden championship belt, which Jason was delighted to receive.

Barrymore was among several celebrities on hand in Philly to watch the biggest event in wrestling. Rapper Lil Wayne performed at the event, while Druski, Snoop Dogg, Meek Mill, and San Francisco 49ers star George Kittle were all spotted over the two-day event.

 

It remains to be seen whether Kelce will become a WWE mainstay or whether this was simply a perfect confluence of events, but it is an interesting possibility now that his NFL days are at an end. Travis Kelce is showering his big brother with love on National Siblings Day.

The 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end compiled a series of adorable childhood clips to celebrate Jason Kelce in a TikTok video on Wednesday, April 10.

Backed by the song “Family” from Kygo and The Chainsmokers, the video began with a clip of the two as toddlers playing in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles onesies.

In another clip, the two tackled each other under the night sky. “Down 10 hut,” one of them is heard saying.

As the video progressed, Travis showcased clips of them growing older and dancing inside a locker room, riding a camel, showing off Halloween costumes, and swimming laps inside a pool.

Some of their more recent moments were shown as well, including a clip of the two hugging one another after the 2023 Super Bowl and a clip of Jason, 36, congratulating Travis after the Chiefs beat the Ravens, securing their spot in the 2024 Super Bowl (in which they came out victorious).

During a conversation with PEOPLE in January, their mother, Donna Kelce, shared that Travis and Kelce are “each other’s biggest fan.”

“We’re very, very small. We’re tight-knit. We stay together and try to help each other as much as we can,” she said of their family.

When Jason announced his retirement from the NFL in March, Travis was overcome with emotion as his big brother spoke about their close bond.

Moments after Swift, 34, dropped the album bombshell at the 2024 Grammy Awards while accepting the prize for Best Pop Vocal Album for “Midnights,” Kylie — who is married to longtime Eagles center Jason Kelce and is the sister-in-law of the pop megastar’s boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce — double-tapped an Instagram post from Barstool Sports “Chicks in the Office” page that commemorated the reveal.

Sunday was quite the night for Swift, who not only sent the internet into a tailspin over the album announcement, but made Grammys history by becoming the first artist to win Album of the Year four times, picking up her fourth prize in the category for her 2022 album “Midnights.”

“I would love to tell you that this is the best moment of my life, but I feel this happy when I finish a song, or when I crack the code to a bridge that I love, or when I’m shot listing a music video, or when I’m rehearsing with my dancers, or my band or getting ready to go to Tokyo to play a show,” Swift said during her acceptance speech.

Jason and Travis Kelce also share a laugh over their shared tendency to break down in tears on the latest episode of ‘New Heights.’

Speaking with Philadelphia native and lifelong Eagles fan Lil Dicky (a.k.a. Dave Burd), Jason addressed the moment he stole the show in a full Mummer costume after his team won the Vince Lombardi Trophy in 2018.

“Honestly, the joy that I got watching that speech,” Burd gushed, “it was so much joy.”

The Dave star marveled at “the length of the joy,” with Jason’s brother and podcast co-host, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, teasing that “there’s no way he remembered half that speech.”

“I still don’t know how I remembered everything, to be honest with you, especially drinking all the way through,” Jason admitted.

“Were you very drunk?” Burd asked.

Jason pondered the question, saying, “I feel like I was possessed at some point that day.”

Travis chimed in, “You can see it in his eyes. When you’re around him enough, you can see it in his eyes, like, ‘That guy’s gone.’”

Jason also poked fun at his own slip of the tongue, laughing over saying “fourth and down” instead of the correct football term “fourth down” during his speech.

At the time, the 36-year-old noted, his turn in the spotlight was not a given. He had hoped to be able to speak during the celebration, approaching his team’s public relationships department a few days ahead of time to ask for permission.

“I’m like, ‘Hey, are we gonna get a chance to talk?’ And I wasn’t at that time one of the focal guys on the team,” he recalled.

Burd echoed the sentiment, noting that “it was surprising” as a fan to see Jason behind the mic.

“I don’t know that I would have gotten that if I wouldn’t have went up and asked,” Jason said.

“I would be awake until 3, 4 a.m., not sleeping, going in my head, like, different narratives,” he recalled. “First of all, myself getting to the Super Bowl and winning it, and how crazy that was. And then how many things you overcome, and then you start thinking about everything your teammates did.”

After a few sleepless nights, Jason said he began to draw parallels between the team and the city of Philadelphia.

“How they had been so close multiple times to winning the Super bowl and had to overcome so much to get there,” he said. “I think that’s why I remembered it, because it was so vividly entrenched of my own story combined with my teammates’ combined with the city.”

Burd hailed the moment as “perfect” and admitted that it may have been the first time — but definitely not the last — that Jason brought him to tears.

“I don’t know that any man has made me cry in the last five years more than you,” he joked. “That speech, your documentary, your retirement speech. Off the top of my head! There’s probably more that I’m not thinking of.”

The rapper added that he also cried “instantly” when Jason and Travis both became emotional on their podcast.

“I can’t help it,” Travis said of his own tendency to break down in tears.

“Have you seen more men cry publicly than us two?” Jason added with a big laugh.

“We’re the only f**king guys out here crying,” Travis added.

Jason — a Super Bowl champion, six-time All Pro honoree, seven-time Pro Bowl selection, and future Hall of Famer — openly wept as he announced his retirement from the NFL in a press conference last month. Travis was also seen wiping tears from his eyes during the speech, and broke down in sobs on their New Heights podcast the next day.

The brothers’ emotional displays have been praised by fans on social media, with one viral post on X (formerly known as Twitter) declaring, “Whatever Ed [Kelce] and Donna [Kelce] did to help their sons become emotionally available needs to be studied.”

Points per Game

Jordan is the highest scorer among the three through his career by a clear margin. His career average in points per game is 30.1 comfortably higher than both Kobe and LeBron. Kobe’s career numbers took a major hit in his final three injury ridden seasons, but still come in at 25 points per game. LeBron still playing at a high level is averaging 27.2 points per game for his career.

In their year 34 season, Jordan averaged 28.7 points per game that is the highest among the three but not by a lot. Kobe comes in second with an average of 27.3 points per game and LeBron comes is last by a whisker with 27.1 points per game. It is crucial to note though that Lakers have basically shut shop for the season and LeBron has been given freedom to stat chase in he final 20 games, so might go past both Kobe and Jordan’s number in points at least.

Assists per Game

Once again career number standings prove accurate when it comes to age 34 season. LeBron is without doubt one of the greatest passers in the game and a much better passer than Kobe or Jordan. For the career LeBron James has assist average of 8 assists per game better than Jordan’s 5.3 APG and Kobe’s 4.7 APG.

Despite Kobe’s lower numbers than Jordan, many argue that Kobe was a better passer, but got stuck on very average teams that deflate his passing stats. He played many years without a secondary star until Pau Gasol was brought in on a trade and played most of his career without a legitimate point guard on the team to smoothen the offense.

However in their age 34 season LeBron keeps his numbers going with 8.1 assists per game. Jordan’s numbers fell to 3.5 assists per game and Kobe Bryant, playing with Gasol, Nash and Howard showed he could defer with capable players around him with 6.1 Assists per game.

Rebounds per Game

For his career LeBron James averages 7.4 rebounds per game. His average goes up this season due to lack of big men on the Lakers roster, with 8.6 rebounds per game. Jordan averaged 6.2 rebounds per game for his career. In his 34 year season, Jordan averaged a smidge under his career average with 5.8 rebounds per game. Kobe Bryant playing with Howard and Gasol was bound to be low on the rebounds but still averaged a healthy 5.6 rebounds in the 2012-13 season, higher than his career average of 5.2 rebounds per game, which reflects how much heavy lifting he did on the team that was supposed to be a championship contender.

Shooting

While Jordan and Kobe were pure shooters, LeBron isn’t a shooter first. But when it comes to effective field goal percentages, LeBron has the best career and age 34 numbers among the three. LeBron has a 56.5% eFG this season and for his career his eFG% stands at 54.1%.

Kobe has the second highest eFG in his year 34 season. His mark was 50.4% whereas his career average is 48.2%.

Jordan has the lowest eFG in his year 34 season. His mark of 47.3% is lower than his career mark of 50.9 eFG%.

Individual and Team Honors

All three players had drastically different seasons for their teams in their year 34 season. Michael Jordan won pretty much every honor there was to be won. His Bulls won their 6th title and their second three peat with Jordan. Jordan won the Regular season MVP and the Finals MVP. He was also voted to the All-NBA 1st Team and All-Defensive 1st team (which might be the most impressive stat of everything discussed, as defense is the first thing that goes when a player ages.)

Kobe Bryant did everything in his power to take his crew of Nash Howard Gasol and MWP to the playoffs, including coming out with a torn achilles to hit free throws that took the Lakers to the playoffs, where they got swept by the Spurs without Bryant. He was voted to the All-NBA First Team for his efforts.

LeBron has yet to finish his season, but having missed the playoffs, MVP award is certainly out of his reach despite great statistical numbers. His defense can win awards, but only if they had Razzies for the NBA. He will certainly make an All-NBA Team, although if thats a first second or third is yet to be seen.
