  • Jason Kelce Discusses Whether He Was Drunk and Shares the Background of His Symbolic Eagles Super Bowl Speech

Jason Kelce Discusses Whether He Was Drunk and Shares the Background of His Symbolic Eagles Super Bowl Speech

Jason and Travis Kelce also share a laugh over their shared tendency to break down in tears on the latest episode of ‘New Heights.’

Jason Kelce’s iconic Mummer moment could have gone very differently. The now-retired Philadelphia Eagles center is opening up about how his rousing Super Bowl LII victory parade speech came to be on Wednesday’s episode of his New Heights podcast.

Speaking with Philadelphia native and lifelong Eagles fan Lil Dicky (a.k.a. Dave Burd), Jason addressed the moment he stole the show in a full Mummer costume after his team won the Vince Lombardi Trophy in 2018.

“Honestly, the joy that I got watching that speech,” Burd gushed, “it was so much joy.”

The Dave star marveled at “the length of the joy,” with Jason’s brother and podcast co-host, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, teasing that “there’s no way he remembered half that speech.”

“I still don’t know how I remembered everything, to be honest with you, especially drinking all the way through,” Jason admitted.

“Were you very drunk?” Burd asked.

Jason pondered the question, saying, “I feel like I was possessed at some point that day.”

Travis chimed in, “You can see it in his eyes. When you’re around him enough, you can see it in his eyes, like, ‘That guy’s gone.’”

Jason also poked fun at his own slip of the tongue, laughing over saying “fourth and down” instead of the correct football term “fourth down” during his speech.

At the time, the 36-year-old noted, his turn in the spotlight was not a given. He had hoped to be able to speak during the celebration, approaching his team’s public relationships department a few days ahead of time to ask for permission.

“I’m like, ‘Hey, are we gonna get a chance to talk?’ And I wasn’t at that time one of the focal guys on the team,” he recalled.

Burd echoed the sentiment, noting that “it was surprising” as a fan to see Jason behind the mic.

“I don’t know that I would have gotten that if I wouldn’t have went up and asked,” Jason said.

“I would be awake until 3, 4 a.m., not sleeping, going in my head, like, different narratives,” he recalled. “First of all, myself getting to the Super Bowl and winning it, and how crazy that was. And then how many things you overcome, and then you start thinking about everything your teammates did.”

After a few sleepless nights, Jason said he began to draw parallels between the team and the city of Philadelphia.

“How they had been so close multiple times to winning the Super bowl and had to overcome so much to get there,” he said. “I think that’s why I remembered it, because it was so vividly entrenched of my own story combined with my teammates’ combined with the city.”

Burd hailed the moment as “perfect” and admitted that it may have been the first time — but definitely not the last — that Jason brought him to tears.

“I don’t know that any man has made me cry in the last five years more than you,” he joked. “That speech, your documentary, your retirement speech. Off the top of my head! There’s probably more that I’m not thinking of.”

The rapper added that he also cried “instantly” when Jason and Travis both became emotional on their podcast.

“I can’t help it,” Travis said of his own tendency to break down in tears.

“Have you seen more men cry publicly than us two?” Jason added with a big laugh.

“We’re the only f**king guys out here crying,” Travis added.

Jason — a Super Bowl champion, six-time All Pro honoree, seven-time Pro Bowl selection, and future Hall of Famer — openly wept as he announced his retirement from the NFL in a press conference last month. Travis was also seen wiping tears from his eyes during the speech, and broke down in sobs on their New Heights podcast the next day.

The brothers’ emotional displays have been praised by fans on social media, with one viral post on X (formerly known as Twitter) declaring, “Whatever Ed [Kelce] and Donna [Kelce] did to help their sons become emotionally available needs to be studied.”

Elsewhere in the episode, Burd referenced the NFL stars’ rapid rise in profile over the last year amid Travis’ high profile relationship with Taylor Swift.

After Jason acknowledged that their audience includes a number of Swifties, Burd asked how they were handling their newfound fame.

While Jason said that his life “has not changed that much,” Travis gushed that he’s having the time of his life.

“I’m having a blast in life, baby,” he said. “Just flying high. Enjoying it all. Bringing new lives to the football world. Opening the football world up to new things, as well.”

Shocking Revelation: Kylie Kelcee Claims None of Her Children Belong to Husband Jason Kel’ce

Jason Kelce and wife Kylie Kelce’s Super Bowl plans are “still up in the air,” but three of Travis Kelce’s biggest supporters will not be present in person.

“They will be at home,” Kylie, 31, told People in an interview published on Thursday, February 8, referring to her three daughters with Jason, 36. “[They stay home] as long as Dad’s not playing.” The Philadelphia Eagles center and Kylie, who wed in 2018, share daughters Wyatt, 4, Ellie, 2, and Bennett, 11 months. (Wyatt and Ellie went to the 2023 Super Bowl, watching Jason and the Eagles play Travis, 34, and the Kansas City Chiefs, the latter of which won. Kylie was pregnant with Bennett at the time.)

“I think it’s a little bit controversial, but even during regular season games, I don’t take the girls to every game. They’re still very young,” Kylie explained. “A stadium with thousands of people can be overwhelming, and there’s three of them. It can get hectic, it’s just a lot.”

The kids’ proud uncle, Chiefs tight end Travis, will be playing in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday, February 11. While the NFL championship will be a home game for the Chiefs, it will be played against the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The thought of traveling cross-country with them [while] Jason’s going to be super busy, and putting them in maybe a stressful environment, isn’t ideal,” Kylie told People. “We think they’ll be much, much happier to see Uncle Trav on the TV because it’ll be easier to see him and they can cheer him on that way.” She continued, “The goal of the day is to just cheer on the Chiefs and make sure that we cheer hard enough that Uncle Trav can feel the energy and he can put that right onto the field.”

Kylie and Jason will be traveling to Sin City sans their daughters for the big game, where they will likely be joined by Jason and Travis’ parents, Donna and Ed Kelce. “You can understand that the boxes in Vegas are multimillion dollars, so I have a feeling I’m not in a box,” Donna, 71, said on the Today show on Tuesday, February 6. “I have a feeling I’m in the stands.”

The Las Vegas ‘Sphere’ Looks Like A Giant Chiefs And 49ers Helmet Ahead Of Super Bowl 58

The creation of The Sphere in Las Vegas has made the Vegas skyline look so much more cooler.

With Sin City set to host the first Super Bowl in the city’s history, it was clear that the Sphere would be apart of the allure. On Monday morning, the 580,000 square feet of LED display had transformed into giant helmets for the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers.

    So dope.

    Super Bowl Week is here!

After winning the fourth album of the year and revealing her upcoming album, Kylie Kelce melts hearts by showing her love for Taylor Swift. “I wish I was there to express my feelings to you.”

Much like Swifties everywhere, Kylie Kelce celebrated Sunday’s surprising news that Taylor Swift will release her 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” on April 19.

Moments after Swift, 34, dropped the album bombshell at the 2024 Grammy Awards while accepting the prize for Best Pop Vocal Album for “Midnights,” Kylie — who is married to longtime Eagles center Jason Kelce and is the sister-in-law of the pop megastar’s boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce — double-tapped an Instagram post from Barstool Sports “Chicks in the Office” page that commemorated the reveal.

Sunday was quite the night for Swift, who not only sent the internet into a tailspin over the album announcement, but made Grammys history by becoming the first artist to win Album of the Year four times, picking up her fourth prize in the category for her 2022 album “Midnights.”

“I would love to tell you that this is the best moment of my life, but I feel this happy when I finish a song, or when I crack the code to a bridge that I love, or when I’m shot listing a music video, or when I’m rehearsing with my dancers, or my band or getting ready to go to Tokyo to play a show,” Swift said during her acceptance speech.

“All I want to do is keep being able to do this. I love it so much, it makes me so happy.”

Swift is now gearing up for a wild week ahead, in which she’ll resume the international leg of her blockbuster Eras Tour in Tokyo.

Travis Kelce finally graduates college with brother Jason

Travis Kelce finally received his college degree and it was in classic Travis Kelce fashion — while chugging a beer.

The Kansas City Chiefs star attended the University of Cincinnati for undergrad alongside his brother Jason Kelce, but the pair weren’t able to take part in graduation ceremonies, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported — until now.

The brothers hosted their “New Heights” podcast event at Fifth Third Arena on Thursday night, the Enquirer reported, while wearing cap and gowns, of course.

Travis Kelce finished his remaining credit hours to complete a interdisciplinary studies degree in 2022, and Jason Kelce received his degree in marketing but didn’t attend commencement, the Enquirer reported.

University of Cincinnati President Dr. Neville Pinto also wore graduation regalia to deliver the diplomas to the two brothers, and the duo’s parents, Donna and Ed Kelce, also joined them on stage.

New Heights also shared a sweet photo of Donna Kelce celebrating the occasion, posing with balloons prior to the start of the festivities.

The Bearcats posted photos from the event on Instagram, captioning the pics: “A surprise commencement we’ll never forget. Congratulations to Travis and Jason on (finally) picking up their diplomas!”

Jason Kelce attended the University of Cincinnati from 2006-2010, while his younger brother attended from 2008-2012, and the pair played football alongside each other for their overlapping years, according to the school.

Travis Kelce hugged Pinto before he started chugging his beer, which isn’t a new ploy from the brothers — both Travis and Jason Kelce were spotted downing beer at a Cleveland Cavaliers game in March, too.

  • REPORT: NFL Teams Didn’t Hire Mike Vrabel Because They Were Afraid Of His “Physical Stature”

REPORT: NFL Teams Didn’t Hire Mike Vrabel Because They Were Afraid Of His “Physical Stature”

After the Tennessee Titans parted ways with head coach Mike Vrabel, many believed he wouldn’t be unemployed for long.

But that wasn’t the case as all the seven head coaching vacancies were filled and Vrabel was shut out of this year’s hiring cycle and according from a report from , the reasoning is hilarious.

Apparently, Mike Vrabel’s physical presence scared teams away. In other words: He’s too big.

Russini did mention that there’s interest in Vrabel for defensive coordinator job but it remains unclear whether he’d take a “pretty shocking” demotion after a successful tenure with the Titans.

For now, Vrabel remains big and unemployed.

  • Friends, brothers, and teammates: Inside the unique relationship that Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox share

Friends, brothers, and teammates: Inside the unique relationship that Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox share

For over a decade, Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox were stalwarts of the Philadelphia Eagles defense. As two of the most dominant players on the team, they left indelible marks both individually and as leaders. However, their impact extended beyond the football field. Behind closed locker room doors and away from the public eye, a strong friendship developed between the fiery center and disruptive defensive tackle.

While little has been publicly said about the nature of their relationship, the clues hint at a deep bond between these former teammates and now fellow retirees. To understand how their friendship came to be, one must first examine their careers and time together in Philadelphia.

    Parallel Paths to Philly

Kelce and Cox arrived in Philadelphia just a year apart via very different routes. Kelce, an Ohio native, played his college ball at the University of Cincinnati from 2008-2011. Despite his stellar collegiate career, concerns about his size led to him falling to the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft where the Eagles scooped him up with pick 191.

Cox, on the other hand, was a blue chip recruit from Yazoo City, Mississippi who committed to play at the University of Mississippi. He immediately made an impact for the Rebels, racking up 111 tackles and 18 sacks over his three year career. Due to his freakish athleticism and production in the SEC, Cox was viewed as a surefire first round pick. As expected, he came off the board 12th overall to the Eagles in the 2012 NFL Draft.

While one was an underdog sixth rounder and the other a prized top 15 selection, both Kelce and Cox faced high expectations as they began their NFL journeys in Philadelphia. Kelce had to prove he had what it took physically and Cox was depended on to transform a floundering defense. Through tireless work ethic and determination, they exceeded all expectations over the next decade.

    Rising to Prominence

Initially, Kelce battled just to make the 53-man roster as a rookie. However, he seized his opportunity after an injury to starter Jason Peters. Kelce started 12 games and helped pave the way for LeSean McCoy’s breakout season. His stellar play earned him a long-term contract extension in 2014, cementing his status as the team’s center.

Meanwhile, Cox made an immediate splash as well. He tallied 5.5 sacks as a rookie, flashing the disruptive abilities that would define his career. Under new coach Chip Kelly in 2013, Cox broke out with 10.5 sacks and established himself as one of the NFL’s premier interior pass rushers.

Over the ensuing years, Kelce and Cox cemented their places among the league’s elite at their respective positions. Kelce was named a Pro Bowler in 2013 and 2016 while also being named a second team All-Pro in 2016 and 2017. Meanwhile, Cox racked up 54 sacks over his first six seasons, earning Pro Bowl nods in 2015, 2017, and 2018 while being named a first team All-Pro in 2018.

They formed the backbone of a Philadelphia defense that rose to prominence under coordinator Jim Schwartz. Behind their dominance up front, the Eagles finished in the top 10 in scoring defense from 2014-2017. This set the stage for the franchise’s first Super Bowl title in 2017.

    Leaders on a Championship Team

As the Eagles embarked on their Super Bowl run in 2017, Kelce and Cox took their games to new heights. Kelce was the lynchpin of an offensive line that helped power the NFL’s best rushing attack while also keeping Carson Wentz clean. Cox continued his reign of terror, notching career highs with 10.5 sacks and 23 quarterback hits during the regular season.

However, their impact extended far beyond stats. Both Kelce and Cox emerged as unquestioned leaders and voices in the locker room. They were voted team captains, joining an exclusive club of players who had earned the universal respect of their teammates.

On the field, their play spoke volumes as well. In the NFC Championship against the Vikings, Cox dominated with 2.5 sacks and the game-sealing strip sack of Case Keenum in the final minutes. Meanwhile, Kelce and the offensive line wore down the Patriots defense in the Super Bowl, paving the way for over 150 rushing yards.

Their championship culminated an incredible rise for both players. From underdogs to elite starters and now Super Bowl champions, Kelce and Cox had cemented legacies as two of the greatest players in Eagles history. More importantly, they had formed a bond through five plus seasons of battling side by side.

    A Friendship Blossoms

While football brought them together initially, Kelce and Cox developed a genuine friendship away from the game as well. They bonded over their shared experience of emerging as leaders of the Eagles during their championship season. Both were also incredibly hard workers and highly intelligent, making for natural companionship.

In interviews over the years, small glimpses into their relationship began to emerge. Cox discussed Kelce as a role model who helped him adjust as a rookie. Meanwhile, Kelce praised Cox as one of the most talented and hardest working guys in the NFL. Their wives also became close, forging a connection between the families.

Some of their closest interactions occurred away from the field as well. In 2018, they joined fellow Eagle Zach Ertz in throwing out the first pitch at a Phillies game, a rare public display of camaraderie between teammates. Cox also attended Kelce’s charity bowling event that same offseason, showing support for his friend’s philanthropic endeavors.

While the nature of an NFL locker room shields much of what goes on, those around the team saw a true bond between the two leaders. Former Eagles linebacker Connor Barwin referred to them as “brothers” who pushed each other to be better. Their chemistry was undeniable, a testament to a friendship that grew organically over many battles together.

    Parallel Paths to Retirement

Nearly a decade after arriving in Philadelphia, Kelce and Cox’s careers were winding down. Father Time remains undefeated and the physical toll of the NFL had taken its share. At age 34, Kelce contemplated retirement following the 2021 season but ultimately decided to return for one more ride.

For Cox, a combination of injuries and the franchise’s rebuilding efforts led to his departure from Philadelphia after 10 seasons. He signed with the Minnesota Vikings in 2022, playing one final year before also calling it a career at age 33.

In a strange twist of fate, Kelce and Cox’s retirements ended up coming just a week apart. On January 31st, 2023, Kelce held a press conference to officially announce his retirement after 11 seasons with the Eagles, cementing his legacy as perhaps the greatest center in franchise history.

A few days later on February 7th, Cox took to Instagram to share his retirement as well. While he didn’t receive the same fanfare as Kelce’s presser in Philadelphia, it was a fitting end to two parallel NFL journeys.

    Where the Future Takes Them

As they begin their post-playing careers, it seems Kelce and Cox will remain bonded. Kelce has talked about one day coaching, potentially even for the Eagles if the opportunity arises. Cox has entertained a future in broadcasting while also staying involved in philanthropic efforts through his Cox Foundation.

Wherever life leads them, the bond formed over a decade dominating as teammates in Philadelphia will surely last. They pushed each other to greatness both on the field and in the locker room. And now, as they close this chapter, they do so having found a lifelong friendship in each other through the highs and lows of professional football.

While specifics of their relationship remain private, the story of Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox shows how competition can cultivate camaraderie. Two players who arrived on vastly different paths wound up etched in Eagles lore together, linked as much by their friendship as acclaimed careers. Their parallel NFL journeys may be over, but the bond between brothers lives on.

Raпdi Mahomes Reveals Patrick Mahomes’ First Major Splυrge: A Rolls-Royce Worth Over $500,000..

Spotrac estimates that Patrick Mahomes has earned $136.2 million in seven NFL seasons.

He is set to earn more as he continues to play out his ten-year contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs, which could be worth up to $503 million.

The two-time NFL Most Valuable Player parlayed his fortune by investing in sports teams, business ventures, and real estate.

He also spoils himself by satisfying his fascination with automobiles.

But as his mother, Randi Mahomes, revealed, it took time before he purchased his first luxury car.

The Mahomes matriarch shared with “Got It From My Momma Podcast” host Jennifer Vickery Smith:

“His first big splurge was a couple of years in after they won the Super Bowl. He bought a car after the Super Bowl. It was a Rolls-Royce. He could’ve afforded it when he first signed but he waited a couple of years.”

A Redditor shared a photo of Patrick Mahomes’ Rolls-Royce Cullinan, reportedly worth $340,000. This vehicle sports a 6.75-liter V12 engine with more than 560 horsepower and a hand-crafted interior.  However, the improvements made to his vehicle, like customized seats and an upgraded audio system, increased the price tag to $500,000.

While the vehicle carried a steep price tag, Mahomes had already earned an estimated $11.7 million after the Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl 54. Four years later, Mahomes and the Chiefs will face the same team for an opportunity to win three Lombardi Trophies in five seasons.  According to his contract, winning Super Bowl 58 will earn the All-Pro quarterback an additional $1.25 million, which is more than enough money to add to his collection.

    Exploring Patrick Mahomes’ car collection

Aside from his Rolls-Royce Cullinan, Patrick Mahomes bought a Lamborghini Urus with a starting price of $218,000. The Urus has a 4.0-liter V8 engine and can reach 60 miles per hour in 3.6 seconds. Mahomes had his Urus fitted with red leather on the interior and a matte black exterior.

He also has a Ferrari 812 Superfast worth at least $340,000. True to its name, the Superfast can travel up to 211 miles per hour and reach 60 miles per hour in 2.8 seconds.  Genesis G70. The G70 has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 252 horsepower. It also boasts a 15-speaker sound system and a 360-degree camera.

So far, Patrick Mahomes has spent around $1.5 million on his car collection. He has ample parking space for his vehicles on his eight-acre residence in Cass County, Missouri, and limitless buying power thanks to his football contract, investments, and endorsement deals.
