This summer, Team USA, led by Steve Kerr of the Golden State Warriors, will attempt to win an Olympic gold medal for the sixth time in a row.

Tatum has once again led the top-seeded Celtics to victory in 2023–24 with an outstanding season. The 26-year-old forward shot 47.1 percent from the floor and averaged 26.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game.

Holiday’s scoring (12.5 points per game) has decreased in his first season with Boston, but Team USA’s stated choice to bring the seasoned point guard back was probably influenced by his playmaking poise, defensive prowess, and 3-point shooting ability.

Team USA still has one roster spot open, and Kerr and his staff have plenty of good choices to choose from. Jaylen Brown and Derrick White were two more Celtics from the first group of 41 players that Team USA looked at for roster berths.

Basketball player Klay Thompson has a new fan in Stephen Curry’s son Canon.

In an adorable video shared by the NBA account on Instagram, the 4-year-old can be seen expressing his admiration for his dad’s fellow Golden State Warriors teammate after the team defeated the Boston Celtics on Saturday night at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

While holding Curry’s hand as the group appeared to head into the locker room following the game, Canon turned around and said to the L.A. native, “Hello, Klay Thompson.”

Accompanied by a laugh from the people who witnessed the cute moment, Thompson, 32, responded to Canon, “Hey, what’s up man?”

In addition to Canon, Curry shares daughters Riley, 10, and Ryan, 7, with his wife Ayesha Curry.

Speaking to E! News at the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Awards earlier this month, the 4-time NBA champion shared his children’s opinion of him.

Asked if his children are as “impressed” with him “as other people are,” Curry, the honoree for the evening, said, “I would hope to say yes but probably for different reasons. I don’t think they care too much about how many times the ball goes in the basket.”

The father of three added, “They’ve been to a couple parades and all that, so they enjoy the festivities of celebrating a championship. But when you’re at home you’re just Dad and that’s the best part about it.”

“You get to watch them grow and blossom and find their personality and support them and have fun with them. They like my goofiness and the way you just show up at home more than anything,” he explained.

As for whether his children are budding athletes themselves, he said Riley is currently “interested in volleyball” while Ryan “is still figuring out if sports is her thing or not. Obviously, there’s no right or wrong answer there.”

He also said Canon is “pretty athletic from what I can see,” before adding, “There’s no pressure either way. We just want them to find what they love and support them.”

Curry also credited his family for their support over his career, calling them “the gas in the engine” for giving him “the space to invest in my craft, and the amount of sacrifice it takes to work at that level, but also the unconditional support of wins, losses, great games, bad games, they’re there and I hope to be there for them in all that life throws at us.”

He conceded that basketball “is gonna end at some point,” but he’s looking forward to sharing his experiences with his children.

Heroes can have their own heroes, and now we know that Travis and Jason Kelce admire Missouri’s own — and Kansas City Chiefs fan — Brad Pitt.

On their latest “New Heights” podcast, the brothers talked to comedian/rapper Dave Burd, aka Lil Dicky, about what it was like last year to have Pitt on his FX dark comedy series, “Dave,” a semi-autobiographical show.

“Dave” has become known for glittery guest stars — Rachel McAdams, Demi Lovato, Usher and Kansas City native Don Cheadle among them. Pitt appeared last year, more or less as himself, in the last show of the third season. Burd is currently taking an “extended break” from the show with no fourth season planned for now.

The “Looking for Love” episode showed Dave and Pitt held hostage by a superfan who just wants to hang out with Pitt. Critics hailed a scene in which Pitt raps (and gets shot by a crossbow) as one of last year’s funniest TV moments. His appearance was kept secret for months.

Burd’s conversation with the Kelce brothers turned into a giant lovefest for the Oscar-winner from Springfield, who gladly donned a Chiefs hat on a red carpet in 2020 after the team won its first trip to the Super Bowl in 50 years.

“First off, I love both of you. … Brad Pitt is definitely the coolest guy I ever met in my life,” Burd gushed.

“I take zero offense to that,” Jason said.

“Zero, zero,” said Travis. Burd sounded as if, months later, he still can’t believe he got Pitt to do the show.

“How cool was it to get Brad Pitt on set?” Travis asked. “How did that even come about?”

“Coolest experience of my life. Nothing’s cooler. Dude, it was a cold email. I literally have never met him,” Burd said.

“Shoutout to Brad for answering his email,” Travis said.

Actually, showrunner Jeff Schaffer described the email as a passionate, personal letter from Burd to Pitt. He told The Hollywood Reporter last year that he and his fellow producers dismissesd it as another of Burd’s pipe dreams. “None of us thought it was going to work, except Dave,” Schaffer said.

But it turned out Pitt was a fan.

“You never know like, he seems cool but sometimes guys, like, have personas that are really cool, then you meet them and they’re shy or just not fun to hang out with,” Burd said. “This guy was The Man.”

“I believe it,” said Jason.

“And he was so nice to everybody on the set,” said Burd.

Unfortunately for Burd, their first meeting was a little awkward.

When Pitt arrived, Burd was filming a scene where the stalker was creating “a cast mold of my lower half, so I like literally meet Brad Pitt fully naked covered in like sludge with my d*** outline visible,” Burd said.

“And I have to go … out to meet Brad Pitt.”

Burd said he wasn’t sure when Pitt agreed to be on the show that he would actually show up.

“He responded to my email with truly an iconic response like metaphorically saying he would be there to the point where I didn’t know if it was real or like a joke or what,” he said.

“I asked his agents, ‘Is this real’ and they were like yes. But you have to see him show up to believe this is actually going to happen. Like Brad Pitt is going to come on my TV show, hasn’t done TV in like 30 years.”

It’s actually been more recent than that. Pitt has been nominated for two acting Emmy Awards, both for guest roles. The first was in 2002 for a role on “Friends.” He and “Friends” co-star Jennifer Aniston were married at the time.

“It wasn’t like a brief cameo where I see him in a bar and say, ‘Hey Brad, and he’s like yo.’ He was there shooting four nights from like 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. … giving me every single hour.”

“That’s love, bro,” Travis interjected.

Burd said he tried to avoid keeping Pitt for long hours on set. He had “a man that looked just like Brad from behind wearing the exact same clothing that Brad would wear” for certain camera shots.

“I gave Brad every out, like you don’t have to wait around at 3 a.m. … and he was like, ‘I would never go.’ He was insulted at the question,” Burd said.

“You can’t love him enough,” Travis said in awe. “A tremendous person,” said Jason.

“Brad Pitt is the LeBron, Michael Jordan of film. … I’m sitting with him on set and I’m giving him direction and he’s respecting my opinion and believing in my vision. There’s nothing more gratifying as a filmmaker, like ever. I couldn’t believe it. I’m thrilled. I’m so thankful. I love you, Brad.”

“Us too,” said Jason.

“We second that,” added Travis.

Former Eagles center Jason Kelce recently revealed that he was sent on his alma mater’s behalf to woo Joe Burrow to transfer to Cincinnati. This would eventually be the city where Joe would not only go on to play pro football but also ink the highest-paid QB contract. However, the former Buckeyes star wasn’t convinced when the elder Kelce reached out and eventually found his home in Louisiana with the Tigers. Yet, Jason believes that everything happened for a good reason.

Ahead of his live taping of the ‘New Heights’ podcast at Fifth Third Arena on the University of Cincinnati campus, the six-time All-Pro answered a few questions to the press. Everyone seemed to be excited about the Kelce duo’s special guest, Joe Burrow, which they announced a few days prior. When asked about his connection with the Bengals QB, Jason recalled,

“When Joe was transferring out of Ohio State, I sent him a text on behalf of Cincinnati trying to lure him to the university,” as per wlwt.com.

However, Burrow didn’t accept the invitation and joined LSU, where he would go on to win the Heisman Trophy and a National Championship. His NCAA-leading 60 touchdowns were no secret, but it was his Heisman speech that swayed everyone. It was impactful, and everyone got to witness the real side of Burrow. Jason knows this too; therefore, he took Burrow’s refusal to join his alma mater in stride and quipped,

“Who knows what could have been? He could have been such a great player if he would have just come here,” leaving the entire room laughing.

Nonetheless, Jason feels content with Desmond Ridder flourishing with the Bearcats, which could have been different if Burrow had come along. Ridder was drafted by the Falcons, and after spending two seasons with the club, he will now be playing for the Cardinals in 2024. This is exactly why Jason feels that both sides got their money’s worth and stated that it was the starting point for his connection with Burrow, which is flourishing even more today.

And they did exactly that by heading to Uncle Woodys, just a few streets away from the campus, as reported by Page Six. Joe Burrow didn’t want to miss this, being caught in a picture walking into the bar alongside the future Hall of Famer. Fans spotted UC legend Connor Barwin as well.

They were accompanied by a few more friends, and later Travis and Kylie were also spotted joining the party train. Jason, as usual, became the star of the night with his red shorts and cut-off letterman jacket.

36-year-old Kelce left an indelible mark on the Eagles franchise and the city of Philadelphia as a whole.

He won Super Bowl LII, was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection, and made first-team All-Pro six times.

Filling the void left by one of the greatest offensive lineman ever is no easy feat.

However, according to NFL Draft expert Matt Miller, the Eagles planned for this eventuality for some time with Kelce even ‘handpicking’ his own replacement.

“The great thing for Philly is they anticipated this really well,” Miller exclusively told talkSPORT.

“Two years ago they drafted Cam Jurgens from Nebraska. He played guard last year but he’s in waiting, he was like handpicked, so they’ll slide him over.”

“It’s not a great center class this year, it’s really not,” Miller added, previewing the upcoming NFL Draft.

“But they (the Eagles) planned ahead for this. And one cool thing is they asked Jason for feedback, like, watch these centers, who do you think could replace you? Who in this class is basically you?

“And he picked Cam Jurgens out of Nebraska and that’s who they selected.”

Jurgens attended the University of Nebraska and, in 2019, became the first freshman Cornhusker since 1972 to start 12 games at center.

The 24-year-old was part of Nebraska’s track and field team in shot put for two seasons but excelled at football and was named third-team All-Big Ten Conference in his third and final year in college.

Jurgens was drafted by the Eagles in the second round (51st overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft.

He has played 28 games in two NFL seasons and made 11 starts at right guard in 2023 but suffered a foot injury in Week 4 last season and was placed on injured reserve.

Jurgens has huge shoes to fill in 2024 and will be responsible for snapping the ball to QB Jalen Hurts and orchestrating the Eagles ‘unstoppable’ Tush Push play.

Kelce, meanwhile, is currently enjoying his time away from the sport and recently made an incredible appearance at WrestleMania 40.

He also took his award-winning New Heights podcast on the road for a special live show and received his diploma from the University of Cincinnati.

Jason has a ton of options on the table for his next career move and is reportedly wanted by many of the major television networks for a broadcasting role next season.

ESPN, NBC, CBS and Amazon Prime all reportedly have interest in securing Kelce, with ESPN in particular seriously zeroing in on Jason to be a focus of the ‘Monday Night Football’ pregame ‘Countdown’ show.

Other reports suggest Kelce could join Amazon and take his podcast with him, while one superstar from another sport has said he is willing to train Jason into its next superstar.
