Jay Z remodeled Baseline Studio’s “The Book of HOV” exhibition after 10 years of passionate work

When JAY-Z was just starting out he recorded at different studios in Manhattan. A few songs at Һit Factory, and other sessions at Quad Studios. But jumping from studio to studio wasn’t ideal. It meant that he couldn’t fit into a space and create the atmosphere he wаnted.

One day, a friend came with a proposal. If he built a studio- a place to do it all, a real base- would JAY-Z use it?He loved the idea. And to build something original resonated with a mission he’s always believed in: to create opportunities for yourself and people around you. They found a second-floor space on West 26th Street, where jazz legend Miles Davis once recorded music. Baseline Studios opened its doors in 2000.s.

Baseline was the club you wаnted an invite to. JAY-Z and his crew would perform “Keep It Real Wednesdays” where talented producers and newcomers came to play their beаts. If your beаt hоt you can get invited to the main studio to remix it. Some beats even made it on JAY Z albums If it was bad, you would leave the building and be back at zero – no matter who you were.

It was that raw honest vibe that encouraged every producer or artist that walked through the doors of Baseline to bring out their best.The space quickly became a creative home for not only JAY-Z, but all artists from Roc-A-Fella, the record label he had started with two friend

Ultimately, at the age of nine, my mother executed a great sacrifice. While she was determining how to regain her footing, she determined that I required some stability in my life. I needed to remain in one location and experience the security and support she had received while growing up in a large family. As a result, she placed me in the care of the family of my pee-wee football coach, “Big Frankie” Walker. “Although it was difficult, I knew it was not about me,” she later told me. It pertained to you. “I was compelled to prioritize you.”

Kim Kardashian seems to have turned a new leaf for the new year. Everyone’s favourite TikTok mother-daughter duo, Kim and North West, have posted a new dance video that has a lot of fans wondering if there is no more Bad Blood between Taylor Swift and the Kardashian-West family.

If you’re an avid TikTok scroller you’ll know North West has had her fair share of viral hits and takes every trend in her stride.

While the account is monitored by her mother Kim Kardashian, 42, North is the main poster, however she sometimes ropes Kim into taking part.

On Thursday, the 9 year old shared a video of her and her mom dancing and lip-syncing to Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake it Off’, which if you’re a pop-culture savant, you’ll know is a tad controversial choice in song.

The feud between Kim’s ex-husband Kanye West, 45, and Taylor Swift, 33, dates back to 2009 when Kanye infamously took the microphone from Taylor’s hand as she was accepting her award for Best Female Video at the VMA’s.

In 2016, Kanye West performed ‘Famous,’ which the lyrics included the line “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that bitch famous.” The line was reportedly approved by Swift following a phone conversation between the pair where she “gave the thumbs up.”

After this report, a statement from Taylor’s team was released saying that “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account.”

This is where Kim gets involved as she hit back at Taylor, calling her a ‘snake’ for saying she had ‘no idea’ Kanye would call her a ‘b****’ in the song.

Since Kim filed for a divorce from the rapper in February 2021, the reality TV star and entrepreneur seems to have distanced herself from any of her ex’s drama and last year even admitted to liking a lot of Swift’s songs.

“I really like a lot of her songs. They’re all super cute and catchy,” she said.

In recent interviews, Kim has also admitted it is tough work protecting her four children from their dad’s controversies, so taking part in North’s fun video shows she’s not willing to drag her kids through any old dramas.

On what would have been his 45th birthday, Kobe Bryant’s sister Sharia Washingtоn is paying tribute to him.

On Wednesday, Washingtоn posted a touching homage to the late NBA great, which included a photo carousel of the siblings throughout their lives.Washingtоn added, “Your physical presence is missed every day, but your legacy will live on forever,” as the caption for her birthday tribute. Bean, I hope you have a wonderful birthday! You’ve got my love.”

At the end of her piece, Washingtоn cited Bryant, saying, “‘You are responsible for how people remember you — or don’t. Don’t dismiss it so quickly. – KB,” the caption pleaded.The photo album featured candid pics of her and Bryant when they were younger as well as photos of the siblings as adults.

Vanessa Bryant, Washingtоn’s sister-in-law, also posted a heartfelt ode to her husband on Wednesday.Vanessa, now 41 years old, posted a touching message to the late basketball great on his birthday, along with images from their time together.

She also included his birthdate in the hashtag, writing, ” #82378.”On Wednesday, Vanessa also debuted her next sneaker design, the Kobe Bryant 8 Protro.”The Halo concept will be an annual release that will honor and celebrate this special date,” Nike said on their website.

Vanessa also posted a little black-and-white movie on Instagram to tease the sneaker. She captioned the photo, “Kobe 8 ‘Halo’ 8.23.23 This is just one of many Kobe 8 ‘Halo’ styles on the way.”Kobe and Vanessa met in 1999, when Kobe was 20 and Vanessa was 17, on the shoot of a music video; they were married for 20 years. They had been together for such a long time and were spending so much time together, but their personalities were just too different. Joe is more introverted, shy, and quiet.”

Point is, Joe is just an “introverted, shy” guy and Travis isn’t! To each their own, but we definitely love to see how supportive Travis is of Tay.

Monday marked the announcement of the birth of Trae Young’s second child, a newborn girl named Teal Dove Young, whom he and his wife Shelby Miller have welcomed into the world.

Young wrote the following on Instagram: “Your mother gave birth to you! “Tada and Tydus will now protect you eternally in this world.” “Tapel Dove Young”

Tydus, who was born slightly over a year ago, is Young’s son and is now an older sibling. Young referred to the impending birth of their daughter in July as their “greatest blessing.”

“Being a father is unlike anything else, bro,” he stated in a video announcement at the time.

Trae expressed the responsibility of instilling in his son the values of being a responsible older sibling and guardian, given his own upbringing as the eldest sibling with a younger sister, which he himself experienced.

Beyoncé is taking some much-needed time off. The diva took a much-needed break from the “Formation World Tour” to spend time with her family.

Mrs. Carter posted pictures of Jay Z and their daughter Blue Ivy from a recent trip to Hawaii. The four-year-old daughter of the couple appeared content as she played in the sand and they shared a kiss and a drink from the Ace of Spades.

Naturally, Bey’s style also caused a stir. She is wearing items inspired by LEMONADE in the pictures, such as a necklace and headband by Dolce & Gabbana.

A bike ride through paradise was also appreciated by the Carters. Blue Ivy rode in the seat behind Bey, who looked dapper in a cap and vibrant frock, while Jay Z looked gangster with a bandana around his mouth.

Even though Queen Bey is taking some time off, she will be traveling again the following week. Her European tour begins at Stadium of Light in Sunderland, England, on June 28. She’s scheduled to tour Europe through August 3rd, with a return trip to the United States in September.

Patrick Mahomes is bringing up retirement, and that noise you hear is of thousands of Kansas City Chiefs fans falling to their knees.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, fresh off his third Super Bowl title and named one of the 2024 TIME 100 Most Influential People, recently spoke out about when he will know his time is up in the league and he will walk off into the sunset.

During a recent interview with Time, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback said that being a dad will play a role in how quickly that day will come. The 27-year-old added that his daughter, Sterling Skye, plays a central role in his future decisions regarding football.

Patrick Mahomes brought up Tom Brady when discussing his future plans:

“I’ve looked, if I played until Tom (Brady) ‘s age, my daughter would be 19, 20 years old,” he pointed out.

“I would love to play that long,” he continued. “At the same time, I want to be there for my daughter. If I can do that, I’ll continue to play. But if I feel like it’s taking away from my family time, that’s when I’ll know it’s time to go.”

Patrick, alongside his wife Brittany, welcomed their son, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, in November 2022.

 

Mahomes, a three-time Super Bowl winner, recently led the Kansas City Chiefs to their second consecutive championship, defeating the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas in February. Brady played in the NFL for 23 seasons and won seven Super Bowls before retiring last year. His marriage also famously fell apart during his final year in the league.

“Tom’s skewed people’s brains on how hard that is to do because of how well he took care of his body,” Patrick added. “So I’m about to make sure that I get rid of this dad bod if I want to play to 45.”

This past March, Patrick and Brittany celebrated Easter by posing in front of a pool, wearing blue outfits, and holding their kids. Brittany also gave a glimpse of the little ones in blue checkered attire.

Jay-Z also showed up but kept things cash by wearing blue sweats, an old school Yankees sweater and a matching blue bucket hat. The day started with Diddy recording himself as soon as he woke up Friday and serenading “Happy Birthday” to himself. He thanked God for letting him live to see another year.

Later, Diddy documented himself laying on a massage table while a team worked to keep him loose. When the party at his Bel Air mansion kicked off, guests were treated to some yummy sushi from celebrity hot spot Nobu. Diddy’s Instagram account captured the moment a sushi chef prepared the rolls.
