NBA legend Michael Jordan had a love/addiction for gambling that was so crazy, he would even place big money on rock, paper, scissors.
Jay Williams, a former Chicago Bulls teammate of Jordan’s before a motorcycle accident ended his career prematurely, told a story of how ‘MJ’ went up to $100,000 on the classic childhood game.
Jordan loved trips to the casino and also enjoyed betting on golf games he was playing in. Put simply, he would bet on absolutely anything without any hesitation.
“Think about gambling to the next degree. Rock, paper, scissors — you bet $20,000 all day long. Why wouldn’t you? You get bored,” Williams revealed on The Brilliant Idiotspodcast in 2015.
“And don’t get yourself down in the dice game. Don’t be in the corner and let some dude keep fading you out and all of a sudden you’re down $100,000 and he’s like, ‘Yo, bet it back — rock, paper, scissors for $100,000.”
Normally one would play rock, paper, scissors for a bit of a fun or to decide an outcome but with Jordan there was always money involved.
Another gem of a Jordan gambling story from ESPN recalls the time Jordan bet his teammates that his luggage would arrive first at the airport.

The Bulls were in Portland waiting for their bags on the conveyor belt. He managed to get nine teammates to participate in the wager, and lo and behold, his belongings were first on the scene.
However, without his teammates knowing, Jordan had actually fixed it. He bribed staff at the airport so that his bags would arrive first and ended up making a few hundred bucks.Although he liked earning a pretty penny, Jordan was a tad particular about appearances and deals even if was easy money.
With the Chiefs on a bye, Travis Kelce reportedly flew down to South America to meet his pop megastar girlfriend Taylor Swift.
While the Kansas City Chiefs are on a bye week this week, it appears Travis Kelce is taking that to the fullest advantage. Entertainment Tonight reported Friday that the star tight end flew down to Argentina to meet up with pop mega-star Taylor Swift.
Kelce and Swift, a couple linked to each other for nearly two months now, have gotten together down in South America, according to ET. Swift is scheduled to have several performances in South America over the next few days while The Eras Tour continues to wind around the globe.
“Travis Kelce has landed in Argentina ahead of Taylor Swift’s second show,” ET posted. “ET has learned that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end touched down in Buenos Aires on Friday, after departing Kansas City late Thursday night after attending teammate Patrick Mahomes’ 15 and The Mahomies Foundation Gala.”
ET made the post on X, the website formerly known as Twitter.
Her performance had to, unfortunately, be rescheduled. “Extreme weather” halted the show in Buenos Aires, which will now occur on Sunday.
Next Monday, Kelce’s Chiefs play his brother Jason and the touted Philadelphia Eagles in a Super Bowl rematch. The game, set for ‘Monday Night Football,’ will likely have a humongous audience. But Swift isn’t likely attend, as she’ll still perform in South America. She has tour dates scheduled in Brazil during that week.

“I was so пervoυs before the iпterview with Michael Jordaп,” Shea said.
“Bυt he jυst loped iпto frame aпd he was delightfυl. Lυc aпd I had spokeп aboυt the iпterview beforehaпd. He coached me throυgh it aпd gave me a bit of a game plaп becaυse he kпows Michael so well.
“Bυt Michael was absolυtely delightfυl. He was forthcomiпg, he was geпeroυs aпd he seemed really happy to be iпterviewed aboυt Lυc.
“Sometimes iп The Last Daпce he seemed a little defeпsive. He jυst seemed really opeп aпd happy to be there, talkiпg aboυt Lυc.“The most lovely aпswer was wheп I asked him aboυt why he was doiпg this iпterview. He gave the most amaziпg aпswer. Bυt I’ll save that for part two.”

It’s the hope that kills you. Only a few days ago Lewis Hamilton was able to muster an expression which had the vaguest semblance of a smile after assessing that his Mercedes was the best it felt for three years.
On Sunday, as his misfiring Merc toiled around Suzuka, that optimism quickly drained from him. That smile (if it was one), you would imagine, was wiped from his face at an even quicker rate.

Travis Kelce did not make it to Taylor Swift’s first Eras Tour concert in Buenos Aires Thursday, instead showing support for his quarterback, Patrick Mahomes.
While Swift serenaded fans in Argentina, Travis attended Mahomes’ third annual Mahomies Foundation Gala, which included an auction. The foundation shared a video of Travis at the event held at The Midland Theatre in Kansas City on Instagram.
Mahomes’ foundation is “dedicated to improving the lives of children through initiatives that focus on health, wellness, underserved communities and other charitable causes,” according to their website. It was established in 2019.

Travis still has an opportunity to see Swift perform in Argentina’s capital city. She is performing there on Friday and Saturday.
During a recent episode of the New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast that he co-hosts with his older brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, the two hinted at Travis going “somewhere sunny.”
“Got anything you’re looking forward to going to?” Jason, 36, asked his younger brother — who had some time off from the field thanks to a bye week after the Chiefs’ win against the Miami Dolphins in Frankfurt, Germany.

The pair sparked dating rumors when the “Love Story” singer attended multiple Kansas City Chiefs games in September, but it wasn’t until the duo made a surprise appearance on the season 49 premiere of Saturday Night Live that they really sent Swifties into overdrive.
Once the show wrapped, a source told PEOPLE the two had a PDA-filled date night at an afterparty at Catch Steak.

Being a nice sport, Kelce joked, “You know what? My catches’ over/under kind of fluctuates when I say, or everyone knows, that she’s at the game. The spread fluctuates in value. Therefore, I’m going to keep it to myself since I don’t want to interfere with any of the stuff.
Swift is scheduled to return to Buenos Aires, Argentina, on Thursday, November 9, for her The Eras Tour. After this Sunday’s game, the Chiefs will enjoy their bye week. On October 19, Entertainment Tonight exclusively revealed that Kelce intends to attend Swift’s The Eras Tour international leg’s start.
“Taylor and Travis are all in,” one unidentified insider informed ET. Though they are enjoying their time together and are very much in love, the two are also making plans for the future. Travis intends to accompany Taylor on her upcoming foreign tour in November so they may spend time together. Because they both take their work very seriously, Travis and Taylor have a strong bond and want to support one another whenever they can.
