Taylor Swift‘s new double album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department’, likely has two songs penned by the 14-time Grammy Award winner about boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Alongside the more obvious hints in ‘The Alchemy’, Swifties’ detective work has shed light on Swift writing ‘So High School’ about the Kansas City Chiefs tight end as well.

Swift’s lyrics about Kelce infer the pair are the ones who will be married one day.

Around the time Kelce and Swift’s romance became public last September, a video resurfaced of ET Canada asking the tight end to play a game of ‘kiss, marry, kill’ with Swift being one option.

Fellow popular singers Ariana Grande and Katy Perry were Kelce’s other two choices in the video from several years ago.

Swift attended 13 Chiefs games in total this season, with Kansas City holding a 10-3 record in those contests.

Swift was in attendance at all four Chiefs’ playoff games in different cities, including the Super Bowl in Las Vegas, one day after the Japanese leg of her ‘Eras Tour’ ended in Tokyo.

Kelce has returned the favor, attending his girlfriend’s concerts in Argentina, Australia, and Singapore in recent months.

But Kelce, 34, speaking to his brother Jason, 36, on the latest episode of their podcast ‘New Heights’, clarified that he wouldn’t let them dine out for free – although he did hint that he would pick up the bill for his colleagues on occasion.

“Are you guys going to be like Todd Herman and Brent Celic when they open their bar in Philly and just let the Chief players eat for free?” asked former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason, to which Travis replied: “Probably not but yeah, there’ll be times where I’ll pick up the bill guys every now and then.”

Jason asked his brother the burning question about where the name comes from – and as it turns out, Travis’ tongue-in-cheek remark that it is just a random assortment of numbers turned out to be false.

Eagle-eyed Chiefs fans may spot the fusion of the two players’ jersey numbers – ’15’ for Mahomes and ’87’ for Kelce – to make the ‘1587’ part of the name. But despite the mention of ‘Prime’, it is wholly the property of Mahomes and Kelce and isn’t affiliated with Jake Paul and KSI‘s brand or any other investor.

The steakhouse is Patrick and Travis‘ way of giving back to the Kansas City community by elevating the city’s dining standards, although Mahomes has suggested they could franchise the restaurant countrywide if it proves to be a hit.

The QB’s wife reposted the story with a caption that said, “This was .” The picture in the story had a caption itself, which said, “POETRY.IN.MOTION.” as it showed both women celebrating after the goal. Some would think that her attachment to soccer is a momentary affair, but the fact of the matter is, that her love for the game goes way back in time.

Former soccer player Brittany Mahomes has shared pictures with her husband Patrick while partying.

In the picture shared on Instagram, Brittany can be seen wearing a red dress, while Patrick is adorning a multi-coloured shirt. The Kansas City Current owner shared the picture with the caption: “My Baby”.

The Mahomes are currently on a weekend getaway to celebrate their close friend Miranda Hogue’s birthday.

On Wednesday night, Brittany posted a heartfelt birthday wish for Hogue in which she wrote they will be “celebrating all weekend,” Sportskeeda reported.

Later on Thursday, she posted on an Instagram story of them on board a private jet.

Hogue is a great friend of Brittany’s, and her husband, Summit Hogue, attended Texas Tech University with Patrick. Summit and Patrick have remained friends through the years, and so have their wives.

Patrick is an American football quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League (NFL). He has led the team to six consecutive American Football Conference (AFC) game appearances and four Super Bowl appearances since becoming the quarterback in 2018.

He is a three-time Super Bowl Champion and has won two Most Valued Player’s (MVP) titles. He has been named in the Time’s 100 Most Influential People list.

Patrick Mahomes may be in his off-season but that’s not stopping the Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback from racking in more accolades.

The three-time Super Bowl champion was named one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in the world in 2024 on Tuesday. He will also be featured on the issue’s cover along with an interview.

Mahomes most recently led the Chiefs to capture Super Bow LVIII with a win over the San Francisco 49ers. The 28-year-old earned his third Super Bowl MVP honor, joining Tom Brady (5) and Joe Montana (3) with that many MVP nods.

“He’s now entrenched in the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) conversation,” TIME’s Sean Gregory wrote.

But how Mahomes feels about being considered a GOAT is a different story.

“You have to build a consistency of a career…I think I’ve done a great job so far,” Mahomes said. “But it’s hard to take away from what Tom [Brady] did for so long, what Peyton Manning did, or Aaron Rodgers.

“There are so many guys, they were at such a high level for such a long time. In order to be in that conversation, you have to do that on a year-to-year basis. You can’t take it for granted that you did it the year before…That’s something I’ll talk about when I’m done playing…Then people can make those decisions.”

Mahomes has led the Chefs to six consecutive AFC Championship Game appearances and four Super Bowls since starring as the team’s quarterback in 2018. He is in elite company as one of the five quarterbacks in the league’s history to win three or more Super Bowls.

Taylor Swift’s got bad blood again.

 

After making a name for herself as one of the most prolific songwriters of all time with her autobiographical chronicles of love, loss, family, friends and heartbreak, the pop superstar flipped a switch in 2020 and began introducing fictional characters and narratives into her work, making her somewhat of an enigma overnight.

But there’s no mistaking that Swift’s devastating 11th studio album, “The Tortured Poets Department” (out Friday), is about her ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn, the struggling actor she paints as a soul-sucking wallflower who, for six long years, tried to dull the same sparkle that made her the biggest star of her generation.

Their 2023 breakup brings out a ferocious side of Swift we haven’t heard since “Dear John,” her 2010 takedown of another past lover, John Mayer.

“You say I abandoned the ship / But I was going down with it,” she snarls on the menacing “So Long, London,” a nod to Alwyn’s hometown, where the notoriously private couple cohabitated in their glory days.

At times, Swift, 34, roasts Alwyn, 33, mercilessly. She says he failed to “measure up” to “any measure of a man” on the blistering “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” while the epically titled “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys” sees him childishly destroying the sand castle of which she’s queen.

Matty Healy, with whom Swift had a post-Alwyn fling, is another target of the Grammy winner’s biting humor, with the ’80s-influenced title track poking fun at the “tattooed golden retriever” for being more committed to his dilapidated typewriter than his summer paramour.

“You smoked then ate seven bars of chocolate,” she sings, referencing Healy’s 2013 hit “Chocolate” with his band, The 1975. “We declared Charlie Puth should be a bigger artist.” (Facts.)

 

Across the Jack Antonoff- and Aaron Dessner-produced album, though, Swift is more of a heartbroken savant turning her pain into poetry than a scorned woman filling out a burn book.

She is mature enough to acknowledge that she “chose this cyclone” with controversy collector Healy (on “The Tortured Poets Department”) and continued to love Alwyn even when it was “ruining” her life (on the Post Malone-featured opener and lead single, “Fortnight”).

Swift looks back fondly on her starry-eyed honeymoon phase with Alwyn (“You should’ve seen him when he first saw me,” she enthuses at one point), but as soon as their relationship takes a left turn, chaos unfolds.

“You s–t-talked me under the table / Talkin’ rings and talkin’ cradles / I wish I could unrecall / How we almost had it all,” her voice quavers on the plodding, “Exile”-like piano ballad “LOML.”

Swift’s mental health reaches an all-time low on “Down Bad,” which finds her “crying at the gym” and repeatedly screaming, “F–k it if I can’t have him.”

However, by “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” a healed Swift realizes she’s “a real tough kid.”

“They said, ‘Babe, you gotta fake it ’til you make it’ / And I did,” she intones. “Lights, camera, bitch, smile / Even when you wanna die.”

That optimism ultimately leads Swift to her current boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, whose influence on the penultimate track, “The Alchemy,” is all too obvious with lyrical references to touchdowns, trophies and benchwarmers.

With 16 songs (20 if you collect all four special-edition variants with bonus tracks), tuning in to “The Tortured Poets Department” may seem like a chore in an age where snappy TikTok videos have diminished our attention spans. After all, Ariana Grande and Kelsea Ballerini’s comparable post-divorce projects clocked in at just 35 and 15 minutes, respectively.

But Swift’s latest opus, which sonically is a combination of 2020’s “Evermore” and 2022’s “Midnights,” is such a pièce de résistance that spending an hour-plus studying it in the poetry department may not be so bad after all.

Just keep an eye out for Alwyn across the hall in detention.

Despite the public nature of their relationship, Taylor and Travis have yet to walk the line for photogs at any premieres or events such as the Met.The closest they came to that scenario was when they attended Madonna‘s Oscars after-party, but they arrived under the radar for that one.

By now, the mom of two, 28, is known to rock a killer outfit on the football field when supporting her quarterback husband, Patrick Mahomes, during football season. She’s also a pro at courtside glam when she’s having fun at a basketball game with her man.

A sports girl at heart, Brittany recently brought her style to the soccer field at the Inter Miami vs. Sporting Kansas City match in Kansas City, Missouri on April 13.

For the occasion, she wore a track T-shirt, cinched at the waist for a sexy cropped cut and trendy white cargo-style track pants. She accessorized with a pair of oversize shades and wore coordinating blue-and-white sneakers. The whole ‘90s aesthetic of it all oozed nostalgia, reminding us of a certain sporty Spice Girl member (yes, that would be Melanie C).

While Brittany’s outfit was chic and casual, her hairstyle was anything but. Her blonde hair — previously transformed into a ”spicy” red hairstyle — was blown out to create feathery layers.

Patrick, 28, matched with his wife in a navy outfit of his own. The Kansas City Chiefs all-star opted for an Adidas T-shirt and distressed jeans detailed with paisley-patterned fabric. He also wore chunky sneakers and ultra-wide sunglasses.

The couple’s coordinating looks can be seen in full on Instagram, where Brittany posted photos captioned, “Ball is life.”

The power couple were seen holding hands as they arrived at the soccer match at Arrowhead Stadium. Patrick, ever the supportive husband, also stepped into photographer mode to capture a few stylish snaps of Brittany and her friend during the game.

In the sweet moment, captured on camera and initially posted on Instagram Stories by Chiefs Talk, Patrick committed to getting the best photos ever by crouching down and snapping away. The results were approved by Brittany, who later reposted the video and wrote, “Oh man do I love him.”

Now that weekly football game days have come to an end with the Kansas City Chiefs taking home Super Bowl victory in February, Brittany and Patrick have been keeping it low-key and enjoying parent life with their two littles ones — daughter, Sterling Skye, 3, and 16-month-old son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III.
