LeBron James of the Lakers Responds to Hints About Bronny James: ‘Bronny’s His Own Man and He Has Some Tough Decisions to Make’

After a miserable rookie season with the USC Trojans, LeBron James, the superstar of the Los Angeles Lakers, would not confirm or refute the rumors that his oldest son, Bronny James, is about to join the transfer portal.

2024 Bronny James NBA Draft odds: Where will he land? | FOX Sports

“I’m not sure where it originated, but Bronny is ultimately his own man, and he needs to make some difficult choices. Following the Lakers’ 128-111 victory over the Toronto Raptors on Tuesday, April 2, James told reporters, “As his family, we’re going to support whatever he does. When he’s ready to make those decisions, he’ll let us all know.”

LeBron James Says He Had Major 'Anxiety' Watching Son Bronny Play at USC

It’s not expected that Bronny James will be drafted this year. Before he retires, LeBron has stated again and over again that his desire is to play in the NBA with Bronny. In June, Bronny will be able to enter the NBA Draft. However, his lackluster performance against the Trojans (4.8 points on 36.6% shooting, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists) makes it unlikely that he will be chosen.

NBA rumors: Will Lakers draft Bronny James to join LeBron James?

As of April 1, there is no mention of Bronny in ESPN’s most recent NBA Mock Draft.

Jonathan Givony, an ESPN draft expert, stated on the February 26 broadcast of “NBA Today” that Bronny James “has not produced like a one-and-done player this season.”

Teams are intrigued by the prоspect оf a father-sоn cоmbinatiоn, thоugh.

Rich Paul Addresses Bronny James NBA Draft Rumors

“I’ve spoken to people in the league, and [Bronny] is listed on several clubs’ draft boards. What if he gets selected somewhere other than Los Angeles? LeBron James does have a player option in summer, Shams Charania of The Athletic stated on FanDuel TV’s “Run It Back” on January 18.

The Lakers are open to considering a James and his son partnership, according to a report from The Athletic on February 14.

The Athletic’s Sam Amick, Jovan Buha, and Anthony Slater reported that “the Lakers, per [a] high-ranking team source, are also willing to explore the notion of adding Bronny James next season.” The insider stated that the organization genuinely cares about James’ happiness, which is the basis for this position.

Bronny James Needs to Hold Off for Another YearAccording to ESPN’s Givony, Bronny is expected to be chosen at No. 39 in the second round of the 2025 NBA draft.

“I still аdоre Brоnny Jаmes’s gаme,” Givоny remаrked. “It’s impоrtаnt tо keep in mind thаt this yоungster missed fоur mоnths оf schооl due tо а cаrdiаc cоnditiоn thаt begаn in July аnd аppeаred tо cоmpletely ruin his seаsоn. аmоng the tоp defenders in this freshmen clаss is him. He hаs аn excellent sense оf the gаme.

LeBron’s retirement may also be postponed if Bronny decides to hold off on declaring for the NBA Draft.

LeBron has made another hint that he would soon retire.

When asked how much longer he intends to play during the Lakers’ victory in Brooklyn on March 31, 39-year-old James replied, “Not very long.” Not a very lengthy time. Of course, I’m on the other side of the hill. I will not play for another twenty-one years, no question about it. not for very long, though. I have no idea when I will retire or when that door will close. But I’m running out of time.

After that, Charania reported that James might play until he is 41 years old, which would coincide with Bronny declaring for the NBA Draft should he decide to finish his senior year of college.

оn the аpril 2 episоde оf the “Pаt Mcаfee Shоw,” Chаrаniа stаted, “Mоst peоple I tаlk tо аbоut LeBrоn Jаmes, аbоut LeBrоn Jаmes, [sаy] оne tо twо mоre yeаrs is definitely the expectаtiоn.”

Dribbles and Designs: Anthony Davis’ Saks Collection Makes Waves in NBA’s Style Revolution

Anthony Davis’s style is the first thing that stands noticed.

That was false, I apologize. His enormous unibrow is the obvious answer. However, the second aspect of the New Orleans Pelicans star forward that catches your eye? Not only does he slay your favorite team by scoring 40 points, but he also looks dashing as he rocks that feral eye hair with confidence and style. The NBA’s style wars are heating up, and while pre-game peacocking is as prevalent as bullshit officiating these days, we’d still say Davis is the one currently leading the pack.

Anthony Davis Talks Unibrow and Fashion Team-Up With Saks Fifth

Saks Fifth Avenue’s capsule collection is proof. Dwayne Wade, among most NBA stars, has tried to launch a clothing line that has been a complete bust. For real? — Davis and Saks’ collaboration is a knockout, featuring an elevated, dare we say it, intellectual, spin on athleisure. The 6’10” superstar admits, “It was quite tough for me to get clothes [that fit]”. I figured it would be a fantastic idea to sew my own garments.

Saks unveiled the Davis collection’s second season this month—it was that good of an idea, after all. Customers adore the athleisure bent and youthful attitude added to the [Saks Fifth Avenue] line by our unique capsule collections with Anthony,” says Louis Digiacomo, General Merchandise Manager, Men’s, Saks Fifth Avenue. Evidently, the big man is succeeding at something.

We spoke with Davis about the challenges of pregame attire, footwear, and being an innovator in brow style while he was in Toronto for the Saks season opener.

Was being a fashion person always your thing?

Just a little.  My time at the Olympics with Kobe, LeBron, and the rest of those guys probably set things off. When I first started working full-time after graduating from college, I wore nothing but sweatpants to dinner. On the other hand, everyone else was wearing these wild costumes and stuff!  That being said, they were quite critical of my attire. I realized I needed to pick it up a notch after that.

Is there a sense of expectation that every player in the NBA, particularly in recent years, must elevate their pre-game style?

In that split second between getting off the bus and entering the locker room, I believe there is. Everyone is filming you at this point: the NBA photographers, your teammates, Snapchat, Instagram, and more. Well, it’s not exactly a mountain to climb. Whether on the bus or in the locker room, many NBA players pay attention to what they wear. Of course, there are some who couldn’t care less. Men argue about their clothing choices. Every member of my team is well-informed about everything: what it is, how much it costs, when it was released, and so on. I think it’s getting serious now that guys have to spend the night before to pick out their outfit.

    Saks-x-Anthony-Davis-3

Ha, so much thought goes into it! Tell me, what is the secret is to nailing the tunnel walk?

Uh… there’s really no secret.  I mean, just walk! It’s not that long! A lot of players are probably not confident with what they’re wearing or just have sweats on, so they sort of walk behind players who are more dressed up. (Laughs). But, I mean, there’s really nothing to it. It’s a simple walk. I haven’t seen anyone really show their stuff off yet, like point to it or something like that. Just be yourself, be normal, walk. It’s going to get talked about regardless. That’s the cool thing about it: you don’t really have to show off what you’re wearing. You just walk and be you and people are going to talk about it.Pin de Raquelᴳʳᵉˢʰᵉˡˡ en Anthony Davis

How do you go about choosing the right pre-game outfit? What’s your process?

I always start with the shoes. I think about what shoes I want to wear, whether it be red bottoms or Balenciaga or whatever. Or even sneakers — I wear sneakers a lot, too. And it goes from there. The jeans are very easy, the shirts come into play next. But, for me, to start off, it’s got to be the shoes.

Anthony Davis : The best pre-game outfits from the first round of the NBA Playoffs | Nba fashion, Gaming clothes, Fashion

What shoes are you into right now?

I’m a big sneakerhead. I can’t really wear everything, but I love all the Jordans, all the Nikes. I’m a big time red bottom guy for some reason. I love them. So I’ve got almost every pair of those.  I mean, that’s really it, other than Balenciagas, of course. Lots of other stuff either doesn’t come in my size or I can’t wear them.

Anthony Davis Q&A: The Brow On Fashion, Sneakers And More - Sports Illustrated

Speaking of size, I know you experienced a huge growth spurt in high school. Obviously, that was great for your basketball career, but what kind of impact did it have on your everyday life?

I was ducking a lot more. My bed was too small. The biggest thing for me, though, was the clothes, honestly. My mom and my dad were buying me new shirts, shoes, all of that, like every couple weeks because I would just grow out of it. So now they always bring it up, like, ‘All that money I spent on you and the clothes! Can I get five dollars?’ (Laughs.) They would just constantly be buying clothes for me. Especially the pants. The pants were just always short, so they were buying pants a lot.

    Saks-x-Anthony-Davis-29

Do you still have trouble finding suits that fit?

No. I have someone who makes suits for me, just because I don’t want to deal with all that.  There’s nothing I can buy off the rack, honestly. If I’m going to the store and I see a suit I like, I’m going to have to get it tailored. And I’d rather do something funky with it if I’m going to get it tailored anyway. So I never go in the store and buy anything off the rack. A t-shirt or short sleeve is fine, but if it’s anything long-sleeved or it’s jeans, it’s going to be tough.

You’ve obviously received lots of attention over the years about your brow. Well nowadays, when you look at fashion blogs and stuff, thick bushy brows are all the rage! How does it feel to have been ahead of the curve?

    I didn’t even know that was like… that’s a thing now?

It is! It’s a thing. You know, brows on fleek.

Then I suppose I was the one who started it! The best part is that not even I received full credit! That was news to me. I will be eternally grateful if it all began with me. That’s simply my character, dude. Personally, I am unconcerned. I suppose I was just ahead of my time, though. I could have protected it financially by copyrighting or trademarking it. That being said, it is very cool. Yeah, that’s really sick.

LeBron James gets his first flopping tech of the year after Isiah Stewart shσves him

Against the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday, LeBron James handed down his first-ever flopping technical penalty. While the Los Angeles Lakers were in Detroit for their third quarter game, the event took place. Isiah Stewart was the one James attempted to depose.

But when Stewart saw James get into position, he slowed down his drive. The Lakers’ great player fell to the court after the Pistons’ big man nudged him. The four-time MVP received his first flopping technical foul because the officials failed to see it as a legitimate charge.

Interestingly, there is animosity between Isiah Stewart and LeBron James. Setwart sustained a gash above his eye in a brutal cоnfrоntatiоn that occurred between them two years ago.

Players, referees, and security guards had to separate the Pistons forward from James on many occasions as blооd splattered all over his forehead as he attempted to аssаult the point guard. The referees in that game removed both players and suspended them.

All game on Wednesday, they were shoving and shoving each other. James appears to have ended his most recent showdown with Stewart as the Lakers take a 20-point lead at the third-quarter break and send him to the bench.

In a matchup with the struggling Pistons, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers will take care of business.

Before Wednesday’s game against the Pistons, LeBron James and the Lakers had just suffered the worst loss of James’s career. On Monday, the Philadelphia 76ers defeated Los Angeles by a score of 44 points. This loss ranks as the fourth worst in club history for the team.

Fortunately, facing the faltering Pistons wasn’t a difficult matchup, so the Lakers were able to regain their lost steam. Losses for Detroit now stand at fourteen games. With a lead of 101–76 with a quarter remaining, Los Angeles will quickly reach 15.

It’s been a volley from LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and D’Angelo Russell. Game totals of 20 points for every participant. Meanwhile, Russell is currently leading the team in scoring with 29 points.

Winning would put the Lakers at 11-8 and the Pistons at 2-16. Tomorrow, the young OKC Thunder will play host to Los Angeles, capping up their road trip.

“Money speaks”: Darvin Ham keeps it real when asked about LeBron James and Co.’s increased effort for NBA In-Season Tournament

Many questioned if players would actually take the NBA In-Season Tournament seriously when it was initially announced. But so far, it seems like they’re giving it their all, which is creating a playoff-like atmosphere. The prize money at stake, in the opinion of LA Lakers coach Darvin Ham, is a major factor in this.

Before the Los Angeles Lakers’ quarterfinal game against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday, Ham was questioned concerning his team’s heightened level of competition. The Lakers won all four of their group games in Western Conference Group A, guaranteeing them the top seed in the conference.

By doing this, they also made sure that every member on their team would receive at least $50,000 in prize money for making it to the quarterfinals. Each player will also receive $100,000 if they advance to the semifinals, $200,000 if they make it to the championship game, and $500,000 if they win the competition.

The club is aiming for the top spot, according to Ham.

“When money talks, BS goes down the freeway. That’s the proverb, Ham remarked.

For elite players in Los Angeles like LeBron James and Anthony Davis, $500,000 might not seem like much. For the Lakers’ lower-level players, though, it might be a game-changer.

James and other prominent players in the league have expressed their desire to win the tournament on behalf of their colleagues, acknowledging this. It seems that the NBA’s inducement is working. Before LA’s NBA In-Season Tournament quarterfinal clаsh versus Phoenix, Darvin Ham issues a warning.Prior to the Lakers’ quarterfinal In-Season Tournament showdown with the Suns on Tuesday, Ham cautioned the team not to let their guard down.

Star guard Bradley Beal is still sidelined for Phoenix due to a back issue. Devin Booker, Kevin Durant, and Bradley Beal are the Suns’ Big 3. They haven’t played together yet. Ham still sees them as a major threаt, though.

Ham stated, “As of yet, we haven’t seen the three-headed monster together.”

“They are still a strong baseball team even with one of those guys out. Their play is of a very high caliber. Simply try to put your best foot forward and concentrate on what needs to be done. This season, the Lakers are 2-0 against the Suns, with one victory coming in a tournament. But now fit, Booker missed both games due to ιnjury. Thus, in order to guarantee the same result this time, LA will need to stay completely shut down.

The winner of Tuesday’s game will move on to play the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday in the semifinals in Los Angeles.

Lebron James wear pink outfit to go watch Barbie

Have you seen the pictures of basketball great LeBron James in a pink outfit purportedly attending the premiere of the newest Barbie film? This week, they went viral after being shared on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. However, they are wholly fake.

The pictures occasionally also include accessories, like a pink purse, and are frequently captioned, “LeBron James on the Barbie movie.” James can also be seen wearing a pink skirt in one of the photos, though the shade is just off enough to pass for beige.

Despite the subtleties of color, these images are fake and were made with the help of AI tools like MidJourney or DALL-E. The AI tool that was used to create the fake James photos that are currently trending on social media is currently unknown.

One of the fake pictures has received over 260,000 views on Facebook alone and even caught Politifact’s attention, a group that verifies political claims. According to Politifact, some of the fabricated images of James have fingers that are wildly out of proportion and even “alien-like.” We continue to observe that artificial intelligence (AI) still has difficulty simulating realistic-looking fingers in viral fake images.

The new movie, which is directed by Greta Gerwig and stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, is both a celebration of Barbie and a critique of the beloved toy’s past. For Warner Bros, the movie has already amassed a staggering $200 million at the box office.

  • REVEALS: Lakers have new secret weapon to dethrone Nuggets in NBA Playoffs…

REVEALS: Lakers have new secret weapon to dethrone Nuggets in NBA Playoffs…

Los Angeles Lakers v Denver Nuggets

After being swept in the 2023 Western Conference Finals by the Denver Nuggets, the Los Angeles Lakers now get a chance to test themselves much earlier in the NBA Playoffs with a first-round matchup against the same Nuggets team.

Los Angeles defeated the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night to officially clinch the seventh seed and a date with the Nuggets in the first round. There was some chatter around the Lakers losing the first play-in game to try and create a much easier path as the eighth seed but that was a theory that the team obviously wasn’t buying into.

The Nuggets were the last team that Lakers fans wanted to see in the first round but alas, there is no other path to the NBA Finals than to go through Denver. Los Angeles will definitely be the underdog in the series but this year, the Lakers have a trick up their sleeve that they didn’t have last year: Gabe Vincent.

Gabe Vincent is the Lakers’ key to dethroning the Nuggets

Gabe Vincent’s first season with the Los Angeles Lakers has not gone as planned. Vincent was injured for most of the regular season and upon returning he was not playing up to the level that fans were hoping for. We here at Lake Show Life have not been shy about dissecting the signing, so we are all willing to eat crow if (or when) he turns it around.

It looks like Vincent started his turnaround on Tuesday against the Pelicans. This was easily the best game that Vincent has had since joining the Lakers as his impact was felt on both ends on the floor. That is exactly what the Lakers need to change the dynamic of this series against the Nuggets.

The one thing the Lakers did not have last season that they now have this year is a guard to throw at Jamal Murray defensively. Murray absolutely torched the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals a year ago as the Lakers didn’t have a single good defensive guard to stop him.

That changes with Vincent. Murray still put together a fine NBA Finals showing against the Miami Heat last year but Vincent had a lot more success against Murray than anyone on the Lakers had. With Anthony Davis behind him in LA, there is a situation in which Vincent can be the Murray-stopper that the Lakers need.

There is also the entire “playoff Vincent” scenario that could play out. Some players simply elevate their games in the postseason and it can be the difference between winning the NBA Championship and getting bounced in the first round.

Heck, playoff Rondo showing up in the 2020 NBA Playoffs is a big reason why the Lakers won the title that year. Rondo legitimately was the Lakers’ third-best player during that playoff run and without him the team may not have won it all.

If Vincent can elevate his game in the same way (which he literally did last year for the Heat) then the Lakers are a much tougher team to beat than the team that got swept in last year’s Western Conference Finals.

BREAKING: Lakers Predicted to Land $215 Million Superstar Guard

It was a disappointing end to a disappointing season for the Atlanta Hawks. The team lost to the Chicago Bulls in the play-in tournament and now their season was over. The Hawks were an interesting team heading into the year with Trae Young and Dejounte Murray but the two guards didn’t end up being a perfect match.

There’s now been a lot of trade speculation around Murray and Young and the Los Angeles Lakers have been linked to both. However, Young appears to be the player the Lakers covet more. With the Hawks missing the playoffs for the first time in four seasons, it could be time for major changes. Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd believes that Young is going to end up in Los Angeles.

“Atlanta and Chicago played, but the winner was the Lakers,” Cowherd said on the April 18 episode of “The Herd.” Trae Young, my guess, is coming to LA. So they’re gonna add Trae Young, Atlanta is gonna go with Dejounte Murray and it’s very clear.”

Whatever the Hawks are doing clearly isn’t working and Young is their most valuable trade asset. Considering they only recently traded a lot of assets to acquire Murray, they may be more keen on building around him than Young, who has been with the team since 2018.

Los Angeles Lakers to Have ‘Serious Interest’ in Trae Young

This isn’t the first time the Lakers have been linked to Trae Young. There’s been speculation about him joining the team for years due to his ties to Klutch Sports. According to Bleacher Report’s Eric Pincus, the Lakers’ interest in Young is real.

“If the Hawks decide Young is the guard to move, the Lakers are believed to be one of the teams with serious interest,” Pincus wrote in an April 15 column. “Whether he’s the right fit is debatable (he doesn’t play well off the ball, and LeBron James usually has it in his hands to end games), but the Lakers have been known to chase players that may or may not fit (Russell Westbrook).”

The Lakers will have to give up some key players if they want to land Young. It’s likely the team will lose Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura in the trade. They’d also have to give up several draft picks. The Lakers would be relying on LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Young being good enough to win a championship.

Does Trae Young Get Los Angeles Lakers Over the Hump?

One thing that’s interesting about a potential trade for Trae Young is that it finally gives the Lakers a young star to pair with Anthony Davis after LeBron James retires. A duo of Young and Davis should keep the team competitive for several seasons.

However, is adding Young to the current team enough to win a championship? The Lakers would be giving up flexibility and depth if they’re going to have three players on max contracts. The team already tried that with Russell Westbrook, which was a disaster. Young is a completely different player than Westbrook and is a much better fit with James and Davis but he’s a small guard who doesn’t play much defense. If the trio of James, Davis and Young could stay healthy, that could be a team that gets hot and wins a championship but it’s not a guarantee.

Breaking: Lakers Guard Deemed Free Agent Target for Warriors in 2024…

Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Lakers, Spencer Dinwiddie

GettySpencer Dinwiddie talks to a referee during a game.

The Golden State Warriors were eliminated on April 16, losing to the Sacramento Kings in the NBA Play-In Tournament, 118-94.

As they look to improve their roster this offseason, Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report listed free agent targets in his April 18 article, listing Spencer Dinwiddie of the Los Angeles Lakers as a potential free agent target.

Steve Kerr told reporters after the game that he struggled to find usable lineups with Chris Paul and Stephen Curry on the floor due to size disadvantages, despite how well Paul did play at times.

“It’s a difficult situation for him that he handled beautifully,” Kerr said, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic. “He’s always been the starting point guard for his team. But you look at our team and we’re pretty small. Even though he’s one of our best players, if we want to throw our best players out there — and he’s one of them — you start adding up Chris, Steph, Klay, it’s not the ideal roster for him.

“But he was fantastic for us because he became our backup point guard. As I’ve said many times, our non-Steph minutes were the best they’ve ever been because of Chris’ leadership.”

Buckley wrote that Kerr’s comment was a “long-winded way” of saying the Warriors need a new guard to lead the second unit.

“That’s a long-winded way of saying Golden State could need a new lead guard for its second unit, and Spencer Dinwiddie should get some consideration for the gig. While he isn’t much of a shooter (career 33.3 three-point percentage), he is a good decision-maker (career 5.2 assists against 1.7 turnovers) who has enough size (6’5″, 215 lbs) to share the floor with Curry.”

Warriors’ Options With Chris Paul’s Contract

When the Golden State Warriors traded Jordan Poole in a deal for Paul, it gave them financial flexibility this offseason. Paul’s under contract for the Warriors next season for $30 million, but all of his deal is non-guaranteed.

The Warriors can use his salary as a trade asset or wipe it off the books before it becomes guaranteed on June 28. Paul has a desire to continue playing next season and won’t retire, according to Slater.

“I’ll talk to my wife and my kids, my family, my support system, see what it looks like,” Paul told The Athletic. “But this isn’t (the end of my career). I know it for sure.”

While there’s uncertainty around his return to the Warriors, Paul said he “loved” his time with the organization.

“I haven’t thought about it,” Paul said. “I’m too in it. I was in the gym at 8 a.m. this morning, lifting and getting ready for this game. When it’s time for that, Mike (Dunleavy) and Steve (Kerr), we’ll have a conversation and see what it looks like. But I loved it. It’s honestly — this is my fifth year living without my family — I probably saw them more than any other year.”

How Spencer Dinwiddie Would Help the Warriors

The Lakers guard is 6-foot-5, giving them a bigger guard to pair next to Curry. His flexibility due to his height gives the Golden State Warriors a different look than anything they were able to do with Paul in 2023.

Given Kerr’s comments about size issues on the defensive end, landing Dinwiddie could help solve some of those issues.

In his 28 games with the Lakers, he’s averaged 24.2 minutes and 6.8 points per game. His scoring numbers are down compared to most of his career, averaging more than 13 points in every season since 2018-19 besides the 2020-21 season.

The son of LeBron James enrols at a new school throughout the season, according to the Lakers

LeBron James, the superstar forward for the Los Angeles Lakers, is always in the spotlight. When you combine his presence with the bright lights of Los Angeles, it’s a combination made in heaven. Because James is so well-known and valuable, all aspects of his life, including his children, are on the table.

Bronny James, his eldest son, is forging his own career in collegiate basketball with the USC Trojans.

Bryce James, his youngest son, wants to do the same.

Bryce made his own news this week by announcing his return to high school basketball powerhouse Sierra Canyon.

James is transferring from Sherman Oaks Notre Dame to Sierra Canyon and will be eligible to play immediately.

This is the junior’s third transfer in as many months. At Sierra Canyon, the youngest James son spent two years playing with his older brother, Bronny.

Bryce revealed during the summer that he will be attending a new school, Campbell Hall, an independent school in Studio City, California. He opted to transfer to Notre Dame High School after only a few preseason games. However, Bryce was deemed ineligible for half of the season since his family never moved.

As a result, Bryce will be free to return to the San Fernando Valley and play basketball immediately. That’s a lot of money for the eldest James son, but the good news is that he’s in good condition and will be able to play the game he loves without missing any time.

That is a significant change for the 16-year-old; yet, we wish Bryce the best of luck in his future season.
