In 2018, she bought the second-floor complex to the building for nearly $10 million. The unit, which she bought from financier Jeremy Phillips in an off-market deal, spans 3,540 square feet.

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have been pretty public about the fact that they’re dating, but there are some things the NFL star wants to keep just for himself. On Friday, Kelce was interviewed during a press conference ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ overseas game in Germany when he was asked about their “status.”

“The latest status is I got to see her last week,” he said. “That’s the latest status right there.”

An even bolder reporter wanted to know if he’s “in love” with the Eras Tour singer, to which Kelce replied, “I’m going to keep my personal relationship personal.”

 

The Chiefs are scheduled to play the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, November 5, and he was also asked if Swift would be in attendance. He played coy again.

“When I mention—or everyone knows—she’s at the game, the Vegas [line] and over-under on my catches goes up and down,” Kelce joked. “The spread goes up and down. So I don’t want to mess with any of that stuff…I’m just going to keep that to myself.”

On October 22, Swift watched Kelce’s team win against the Los Angeles Chargers, and CBS broadcasters showed a graphic comparing game play when she was in the bleachers versus when he’s “left to his own devices.” They stated that Kelce has gained 99 yards per game over 46.5 whenever she’s not there to cheer him on.

The 13-year NFL veteran announced his decision to hang up his cleats in a tearful speech on Monday. Jason Kelce is certain about his retirement.

On Wednesday, the former Philadelphia Eagles center who officially announced his decision to retire from the NFL in a 40-minute-long speech on Monday, offered more insight into the emotional experience on the latest episode of his and his brother Travis Kelce’s New Heights podcast.

 

Admitting it was “hard to come to grips with the finality” of his decision, Jason, 36, said of his tearful speech, “I was hoping I’d said it enough times that I wouldn’t cry as much I did. I think it’s good to show emotion through it. I mean I was sobbing before I even started!” he laughed.

Travis, 34, then asked his brother, “Who helped you the most in deciding all this? What was the biggest influence helping you?” to which Jason responded, “Me. And I think that’s how I knew. In previous years I would reach out to other guys like, ‘Hey, how do you know when you want to stop playing?’ ”

“The reality was, it was more firm than it’s ever been this year that I just don’t think physically I can compete at the level I want to anymore and really compete the way I want to,” he continued, adding, “You know my elbow and my knees…”

 

“It’s just gotten to the point where the deterioration and recovery from that deterioration hasn’t really manifested on game day yet but I know it’s going to start doing that and I’d really rather not,” the professional athlete explained. “I’m hard on myself, and if I go out there and I’m not the player I want to be it will crush me. So I’m very confident in the decision I’ve made. I know it’s time. I’ve had a really good run. But that’s the biggest reason why.”

In his Prime documentary that debuted last year, the toll that the game was taking on his health — and the effect it was having on his young family — was a running theme. The Eagles mainstay and his wife Kylie Kelce share three daughters: Wyatt, 4, Elliotte. 3, and Bennett, 1.

Jason also shared on the podcast that his decision had been “a long time coming” and revealed he had been mulling over whether to retire “for the last few seasons.”

It felt good to finally get it out there in some ways, and in other ways, it’s still hard and it hurts.” After a “disappointing” end to the Eagles’ season, which concluded when they lost a wild-card playoff game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 32-9, on Jan. 15, Jason’s decision was seemingly etched on his face after the game.

During the final play, Jason embraced his longtime offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland. Then, the father-of-three choked back tears and searched for his family, including Kylie and dad Ed Kelce in the stands.

“We knew that we were going to be involved with these masks, but we didn’t really find out the full extent until pretty much about two hours before the show. There’s like a little backstage area where you’re kind of figuring things out.” He remarked. Apart from that, he gave further details about his participation in the wrestling show, commenting, “We knew we were on Team Rey [Mysterio], which they didn’t have to tell us. From there, it was just, you know, operation get it done.”

Jason Kelce has announced his retirement from football in an emotional press conference.

The Philadelphia Eagles legend burst into tears before he even started speaking and then finally ended months of speculation as he ended his career on Monday after 13 years in the NFL.

Kelce announced the decision with his brother Travis, wife Kylie and parents Ed and Donna in attendance at the Eagles’ team facility.

Speculation first emerged that Kelce would hang up his cleats when the Eagles were eliminated from the playoffs by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in January.

However, he refused to announce a definitive decision on his future in the weeks that followed, instead supporting brother Travis throughout the postseason as the Kansas City Chiefs eventually won the Super Bowl.

Kelce came close to retiring this time last year but decided to stay on for another season after struggling to walk away – a process that was captured on film in his hit Amazon Prime documentary.

Kelce was drafted by the Eagles in 2011 and has enjoyed a sensational 13-year career in Philadelphia.

A seven-time Pro Bowl selection, the center won the Super Bowl with the Eagles in 2018 when they beat the New England Patriots in Minnesota.

The center, who hosts the ultra-successful ‘New Heights’ podcast with his brother Travis and filled in on Amazon’s Thursday Night Football broadcast during his bye week this season, looks destined for a career in broadcasting if he wants it.

He’s already met with executives from Fox and ESPN, according to Front Office Sports, as he used Super Bowl week in Las Vegas to ‘make the rounds’ with networks.

The Sun also reported that there was already a ‘scramble’ among several broadcasters to win Kelce’s services – and that he could make up to $5million per year for his football analysis.

Despite the lucrative offers seemingly waiting for Kelce, he recently admitted to being anxious about what life after football might look like.

‘It’s exciting to think about possibilities, it’s exciting to be able to lose weight, feel good and not have to physically fight for my life every day,’ Kelce, 36, said. ‘It’s also daunting. It’s anxiety. At the end of the day, it’s the unknown.

‘People ask if you get nervous for games but the only games I get nervous for are the first time – you don’t know what is in store. Ironically it makes you play better, it makes your senses alive. But that is kind of where it is at when you start thinking about retirement.

‘It is exciting, the possibilities. All of us were fortunate, we can go in a lot of different areas. But that is also very nerve-wracking, you don’t know what you are going to like until you are doing it. You don’t know what you are going get fulfilment in until you are doing it, you don’t know what you are going to be great at until you are doing it.

‘All that stuff is also in the back of your head. No matter how you handle it, no matter who you are, how well prepared you are to enter the next stage, everybody goes through a level of depression, really.

‘The end of one of the things you love most in your life is there and you are going to have to come to grips with that.

‘You might be struggling and you don’t know it. I feel like you might be struggling in football but you get that win, that little shot, dopamine, like “I got it”. I’m a big ‘hit’ guy.’

A rare miss for the Chiefs this offseason will turn up the heat in the NFL Draft.

For the most part, it seems like everything that the Kansas City Chiefs have set out to accomplish this offseason in terms of free agency has gone their way.

This team needed to sort out the future with impending free agents Chris Jones and L’Jarius Sneed, which they succeeded in doing by signing Jones long-term and then trading Sneed to the Titans.

Beyond that, the other big worry for the Chiefs this offseason was at wide receiver, which they answered with one of the best deals of the offseason to ink Marquise Brown.

While the Rashee Rice situation complicates that matter further, they have upgraded the pass-catching corps, which was the goal.

But there’s one area where the Chiefs could still use some help to further their plight to three-peat as Super Bowl champions. After using Donovan Smith as a stopgap at left tackle in the 2023 season, Kansas City now needs to find an answer opposite Jawaan Taylor. And apparently, they tried to do so before the start of the 2024 NFL Draft, as ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler reported that they were talking with former first-round pick Andre Dillard before he ultimately signed with the Packers.

With that miss, though, the Chiefs strategy in the draft could be quite acutely affected.

Dillard was not going to be a long-term answer at left tackle for the Chiefs, to be sure. He was a disaster for the Titans last season after falling short of expectations in Philadelphia, the team that drafted him. But considering that Kansas City’s current options on the roster are Wanya Morris and Lucas Niang, they need depth and they need competition.

That’s where the draft could then come into play. My expectation would remain that, especially given the uncertain future of Rice, the back-to-back champs will be targeting a wide receiver in the first or second round of the 2024 draft. However, the other part of that equation could now clearly be offensive tackle.

Targeting players like Oklahoma Tyler Guyton, BYU’s Kingsley Suamataia, Arizona’s Jordan Morgan and some others with the No. 32 pick should be in play for Kansas City, especially depending on how the wide receiver board falls in the draft. Beyond that, if they were to draft a receiver in the first round, then guys like Notre Dame’s Blake Fisher or Yale’s Kiran Amegadjie could be in play for the Chiefs.

Missing on Dillard, to be sure, isn’t the end of the world. At the same time, though, it does show that Brett Veach and this organization recognize their current position at offensive tackle. And it would be shocking if that didn’t ultimately help to inform how this franchise aims to attack the 2024 draft.
