Cardi B Pays Tribute to Late Rapper Takeoff After Attending Atlanta Funeral

Following her attendance at the funeral of late rapper Takeoff, Cardi B took to Instagram to reflect on his legacy and express her grief over his passing.

In a heartfelt post shared on November 11, the “WAP” performer, alongside throwback photos of the Migos member, expressed the profound pаin and sorrow caused by his untimely deаth. Cardi conveyed her heartbreak and gratitude for the cherished memories shared with Takeoff, acknowledging the incomparable pаin of his loss.

Takeoff, born Kirshnik Khari Ball, tragically lost his life to gu𝚗 viоlence on November 1 at the age of 28. As a founding member of Migos alongside his cousin Offset and uncle Quavo, his impact on the music industry was undeniable.

In her message, Cardi extended her condolences to Takeoff’s family, friends, and fellow Migos members, acknowledging the unbearable emptiness they must be experiencing. She expressed her belief in signs from angels and encouraged Takeoff to send comforting messages to his loved ones, particularly his mother.

Offset, Quavo, and many others gathered in Atlanta to honor Takeoff’s memory during a poignant funeral service. Offset delivered a heartfelt eulogy, highlighting Takeoff’s contributions to music and his role in shaping the culture.

The service featured performances by Justin Bieber and Chloe Bailey, with Drake delivering a moving speech. For Cardi, revisiting memories of Takeoff and his music has been bittersweet, knowing that his absence will forever alter the industry.

Despite the pаin of loss, Cardi expressed confidence that Takeoff’s legacy will endure through his music and the impact he made on the world. She fondly remembered his talent and personality, praying for his peace and eternal happiness.

As the music community mourns Takeoff’s passing, Cardi’s tribute serves as a poignant reminder of the indelible mark he left on the industry and the lives of those who knew him.

She continued: ‘I need some d**k on New Year’s Eve. I feel like we was vibing yesterday. We had a good time.’

In December, Cardi confirmed that she had separated from Offset during another Instagram Live session.

According to E! News, the Grammy winner told her fans that she had ‘been single for a minute now’ and admitted that her hesitation to reveal the news was because she did not ‘know how to tell the world.’

The performer – whose estranged husband was alleged to have cheated on her with Chrisean Rock – remained optimistic about her future, however, and told her fans that she was ‘curious for a new life, for a new beginning.’

The Bodak Yellow rapper then stated that she was ‘excited’ about her new stage in life.

At the time, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Cardi (born Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar) and Offset (born Kiari Kendrell Cephus) both unfollowed each other.

The rapper also recently shared a cryptic Instagram story post where she revealed, ‘You know sometimes you just outgrow relationships.’

She added in the next story post, ‘I’m tired of protecting people’s feelings… I GOTTA PUT MYSELF FIRST.’

This certainly wouldn’t be the first time the couple has been on the outs throughout their tumultuous relationship.

The couple reportedly met at an ‘industry event’ in 2016, with Cardi B recalling in a November 2017 Twitter video, ‘He was very consistent. He really wanted to talk to me.’

They reportedly started dating in January 2017, the same month they released a song together called Lick.

Cardi shared a photo of them on her Instagram during the Super Bowl, referring to the Migos rapper as, ‘my friend… you know what I’m saying?’

Offset later revealed that the Super Bowl was their first real date, with the couple sharing a kissing Instagram snap on Valentine’s Day 2017.

While Cardi refused to confirm she was even dating Offset that summer, she dropped some not-so-subtle marriage hints at the VMAs in late August 2017.

Less than a month later, the couple secretly married in Fulton County, Georgia, though it was not publicly revealed until June 2018.

Offset proposed to Cardi on stage in October 2017 – despite already being legally married – though in January 2018, rumors surfaced that not only had Offset cheated on Cardi, but he had made a sex tape with another woman.

Cardi defended her decision to stay with Offset in February 2018, stating, ‘It’s not right, what he f***ing did—but people don’t know what I did, ’cause I ain’t no angel.’

Pregnancy rumors swirled just weeks later, with Cardi confirming she’s expecting while performing on Saturday Night Live, with the couple welcoming their first child Kulture in June 2018.

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes turned a $400,000 eight-acre lot into a palatial estate fit for a king — the king of Kansas City, that is.

Patrick signed a 10-year, $450 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs in August 2020 and used part of the money to purchase the land the following month.

“I actually decided to get the land, to get ready to build that right, when I signed my contract here in Kansas City,” the NFL star said on Netflix’s “Quarterback.” “I signed a 10-year extension … because I knew I wanted to be here.”

“So right when I did that, I was like, ‘I’m gonna be here I might as well build the exact house I want.”

Although the exact square footage of the home is unknown, aerial shots of the estate indicate that it has enough space for their family of four and plenty of guests — including BFFs Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.

Yet that’s just the inside. The couple also installed a massive pool and hot tub, a private pond, a par-3 golf hole and a 50-yard football field, which features the Mahomes’ logo in the middle and their last name spelled out in the end zone.

Patrick and Brittany, both 28, have built quite a robust real estate portfolio over the years — however, they recently sold a few of the properties, including their first Kansas City condo for around $550,000.

In January 2019, the parents of two shelled out $1.8 million for a three-bedroom, four-bathroom mansion, which they reportedly spent $400,000 renovating.

The “contemporary ranch,” which spanned over 4,300 square feet, featured a chef’s kitchen, a 500-bottle wine room, a home gym, a designated “shoe room,” a pool and hot tub and a putting green outside.

The home proved to be the perfect place for the pair to settle down while waiting for their current home to be built. Patrick and Brittany listed the home over the summer and it sold for just under $3 million last month.

The couple also coughed up $3.37 million in March 2020 for a four-bedroom, seven-bathroom mansion in their home state of Texas.

Before their dream digs were finished earlier this year, Patrick and Brittany would often spend the off-season at the 7,800-square-foot manor, which is described as the “entertainer’s dream.”

The contemporary home boasts soaring ceilings, a floating staircase, a wine room, a wet bar, game room and, like Patrick’s other homes, has easy access to a golf course.

While it’s unclear if the NFL player plans to sell the luxe listing, it is currently estimated to be worth over $5.5 million.

Cardi B has been trying to “adapt” to life following her split from Offset and admitted that things have been “difficult” for her as she adapts to single life again.

The 31-year-old star split from fellow rapper Offset – with whom she has Kulture, five, as well as three-year-old Wave – in December 2023 after six years of marriage and has now thrown herself into work again as she comes to terms with being single.

Speaking during an Instagram Live, she said: “I’ve been adapting to my new personal life and it’s just been a little bit difficult. Especially because I have a lot of work to do and everything, but so far so good. I’m not in a bad space but I’m in a very different space.

“From 19 to 22, I was very alone. I just distanced myself from everybody and focused on my work.”

The ‘WAP’ hitmaker – who released her only album ‘Invasion of Privacy’ in 2016 but continues to release singles on a regular basis – is once again in “that space” and has “distanced herself from others but is looking forward to making new music.

She said: “And this time around in life I feel like I’m in that space again.

“I’ve completely distanced myself from people. I just can’t wait to put out my music and do different stuff.”

Cardi first addressed her split in December and admitted at the time she had been hesitant to make the announcement to her fans at first.

Addressing fan speculation after Cardi and Offset unfollowed one another on Instagram, she said in a Live video on the site: “I’ve been single for a minute now, but I have been afraid to like—not afraid I just don’t know how to tell the world. But I feel like today has been a sign. The last time I got on Live I kind of wanted to tell you guys, but I didn’t know how to tell you, so I changed my mind. But it has been like this for a minute now. I just took it as a sign.”

The couple previously split in 2018 shortly after their daughter was born amid rumours the Migos rapper – who has three children from previous relationships – had been unfaithful, but by early 2019, Cardi admitted they were “working things out”.

However, she went on to file for divorce in 2020, only to call off the proceedings months later.

After several social media subs, it seems their rumored beef is now on wax.

If social media thought there may have been some sort of issue between Cardi B and Bia before, the latter may have just made the beef more believable.

It seems to be the season of dissing, as Kendrick fired at Drake and J. Cole, J. Cole shot back at K. Dot, A$AP had some bars for Drake, and Chris Brown came for Quavo. Now, Bia has dropped some suggestive bars in Dreezy‘s remix to “Bi**h Duh” that seem to be aimed at Cardi B.

In a breakdown of her lyrics, Bia raps: “I hear bi**hes poppin’ sh*t and that’s so funny to me/ How you say you runnin’ down but you can’t walk on the beat?” That line could refer to Cardi admitting that she wanted to get on a remix to Ice Spice’s “Munch,” but couldn’t catch the beat.

 

“I did a thing for Ice Spice, but I did not like how it sounded,” the Bronx rapper said to Speedy Mormon last month. “I can’t catch the beat for sh*t. Doing drill music is not as easy as it looks.”

Bia also drops the line, “I can never turn my phone on just to cry, on a live/ I hate a sneaky ni**a, pick a side/ If you wanna get up with me, tell that bi**h that we’re outside.”

The Really Her rapper could be sharing her sentiments on why she’d never do that, or it could be a reference to the time Cardi went live crying about her husband, Offset, after rumors of him cheating with Chrisean Rock began circulating. Offset denied all allegations.

“You been fu**ing feeling yourself you bi**h a** ni**a because of your bi**h a** album and sh*t and you really been fu**ing dong me doing me dirty,” Cardi emotionally vented to her followers. “After so many fu**ing years that I motherfu**n helped your a**, not even a fu**ing thank you that I got from your bi**h a**.”

Although Bia said no names in her verse, back in March, the “London” rapper seemingly agreed with an X post claiming that she is “definitely on Cardi’s mood board.”

The 2024 NFL Draft is approaching as the festivities take place this Thursday in Detroit.

It’ll be seven years since the Chiefs took Mahomes with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

But that wasn’t Kansas City’s original draft selections.

The Chiefs moved up to the 10th pick by sending their N0. 27 selection to the Buffalo Bills as well as a 2017 third-round pick and a 2018 first-round pick.

And the rest would be history as Mahomes has won two MVPS and three Super Bowl titles.

He’s also 3-0 in the playoffs against the Bills.

On Saturday, NFL analyst and writer Peter Schrager posted a picture on X, formerly Twitter, of Mahomes’ draft selection card.

It showed Mahomes’ info which included his position (quarterback), school (Texas Tech), overall selection (10), and his team (Chiefs).

Mahomes re-shared the post on social media and added the smiling face with sunglasses emoji.

Fans expressed their reactions to the significant piece of draft history.

“The greatest Chiefs pick ever,” one wrote.

“Best thing Buffalo ever did,” another said.

“This is why I still respect Buffalo they didn’t realize what they were doing,” a third stated.

The Bills would go on to draft quarterback Josh Allen with one of the picks in the Mahomes draft day trade.

Allen has made two Pro Bowls and has led the Bills to five playoff appearances.

Buffalo, however, has yet to win a Super Bowl in their franchise history.

Mahomes and the Chiefs most recently beat the Bills in the 2023 AFC Divisional round.

They went on to beat the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship and then the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl in Las Vegas in February.

Cardi B and Sexyy Red have been named as part of an all-star lineup for the BET Experience, which is set to take place this summer.

The network’s official website made the announcement about the lineup on Monday (April 15), wherein they revealed that the BET Experience will take place from June 26 to June 28, 2024.

In addition to having a full comedy lineup featuring performances from Michael Blackson and Tiffany Haddish, the two female rappers will join the likes of Davido, Gunna, The Roots, Common, Queen Latifah, and the Jungle Brothers for musical performances.

Cardi B and Sexyy Red seem to have a mutual respect.

Back in December, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper was seen twerking in a black bodysuit to Sexyy Red‘s smash track, “Bow Bow Bow (F My Baby Dad).”

At one point, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper looks back at the camera, smiles, and sticks her middle finger his in the air while yelling, “fuck my baby dad!” The unidentified camera person can be then heard saying, “you heard her!”

They also were the victims of near-identical AI scams back in November.

A tweet shared by user NateRuns on November 21 revealed that a digitized version of the St. Louis native’s voice had been used to advertise “free money” — wherein the would-be Sexyy Red claims that “the government be handin’ out stacks to y’all,” in what appears to be a stimulus check scam.

“Ummm does sexyy red know a company is using her voice to steal peoples info???” he wrote.

Sexyy Red quote-tweeted the video and wrote, “My lawyer bout to have a field day.”

Cardi B made legal threats of her own after spotting a video which featured an AI-generated version of the “Bodak Yellow” rapper’s voice saying nearly the same thing as the AI-generated version of Sexyy Red’s voice.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) on November 22, Bardi shared the clip which dubs her fake voice over a real video of her.

“Yo it’s ya girl Cardi and I’ma show you how to put $16,000 in your pocket right now for free!” AI Cardi says in the clip. “So pay attention! The state’s handing out these stacks to every single one of y’all. You don’t even need a job! It’s all part of a stimulus-style program to help Americans get back on their feet. They’re sending out these health spending cards re-loaded with that green every single month!”

In her retweet, Cardi wrote: “AI is crazy smh….another lawsuit that fell right on my lap…I love easy money.”
