Sometimes 3-point shooting ultimately determines the outcome of a game, particularly in the modern NBA.

That was evident in the Lakers’ 128-110 road defeat to the Golden State Warriors at Chase Centre on Thursday night.

Coach Darvin Ham remarked, “They put a lot of pressure on your defence because they’re moving it.” “How well they can shoot the ball.

While Austin Reaves finished with 16 points and four assists, D’Angelo Russell finished with 18 points (6-for-15 shooting), nine assists, five rebounds, and two steals. James was benched once more in favour of Taurean Prince, who scored 12 points. Rui Hachimura was restricted to eight points in 32 minutes, despite recording a career-high 36 points in the last game before the All-Star break (which was also played without James).

Due to the treatment he had for left ankle peroneal tendinopathy during the All-Star break, James missed his second straight regular-season game and his third in the previous eight.

He and Anthony Davis led an unbeaten starting five that also included Rui Hachimura, Austin Reaves, D’Angelo Russell, and others to their sixth consecutive victory.  James, who finished with 30 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds, remarked, “I felt pretty good.” To be honest, I was more taken aback by how well my wind was working. Ankle, however, fared well. performed merely mediocrely. I was excited to go play and support my team’s victory.

James signed a two-year, $99 million contract extension with the Lakers in August 2022, and he is currently in the first year of that deal.
