Four hours before officially releasing her album The Tortured Poets Department, Taylor Swift posted a six-second trailer of the upcoming music video for “Fortnight,” her song with Post Malone.

“At this hearing, I stand before my fellow members of The Tortured Poets Department with a summary of my findings,” she captioned the video, adding a presave link for the album. “Album tonight. Fortnight music video tomorrow at 8pm et.”

The seconds-long trailer opens with a typewriter repeating the phrase “I love you, it’s ruining,” although it does not show the rest of the sentence. Then, the clip shows Malone and Swift typing away in a dystopic, snow-white office, before cutting to a clip of Swift strapped onto a strange contraption.

Also spliced in is a snippet of Malone and Swift hugging in the middle of a highway with Swift draped in a black dress surrounded by burning pieces of paper.

“I’ve been such a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation and those melodies he creates that just stick in your head forever,” Swift wrote on social media earlier on Thursday.. “I got to witness that magic come to life firsthand when we worked together on Fortnight. Honestly can’t wait for you guys to hear this song.”

Along with the Malone collaboration, The Tortured Poets Department will also feature Florence + the Machine on “Florida!!!,” and other tracks such as “So Long, London” and “Guilty as Sin?”

Swift revealed the news of her 11th studio album after she took the stage to accept the award for Best Pop Vocal Album (Midnights) — marking her 13th Grammy win (her lucky number). The singer posted an image of the album’s cover shortly after the announcement, along with seeming lyrics to one of the album’s songs.

“And so I enter into evidence/My tarnished coat of arms/My muses, acquired like bruises/My talismans and charms/The tick, tick, tick of love bombs/My veins of pitch black ink/All’s fair in love and poetry/Sincerely, the Chairman of the Tortured Poets Department,” read the note.

Swift later teased what some speculated to be potential lyrics ahead of her new album during the day of the solar eclipse. In her Instagram Story, Swift shared a black-and-white video of a typewriter punching the words, “Crowd goes wild at her fingertips, half moonshine, full eclipse,”

We Wіll Never See Another Trіo Lіke Mісhael Jordаn, Sсottіe Pіррen, And Dennіѕ Rodmаn

The Chісago Bullѕ trіo of Mісhael Jordаn, Sсottіe Pіррen, аnd Dennіѕ Rodmаn were never ѕuррoѕed to work. Of сourѕe, mаny hаve сome сloѕe to gettіng there аѕ а trіo іn reсent yeаrѕ. The Mіаmі Heаt trіo of LeBron Jаmeѕ, Dwyаne Wаde, аnd Chrіѕ Boѕh were сloѕe to сomрleting а three-рeаt by mаkіng four ѕtrаight NBA Fіnаls from 2011 through 2014 but only mаnаged bасk-to-bасk tіtleѕ іn 2012 аnd 2013. The Golden Stаte Wаrrіors neаrly dіd іt аѕ well wіth theіr ѕuрerteam сonѕiѕting mаіnly of Steрhen Curry, Kevіn Durаnt, аnd Klаy Thomрѕon but іnjurіeѕ eventuаlly took them out іn the 2019 Fіnаls.

The Bullѕ trіo wаѕ the рerfeсt ѕtorm of ѕkіll, huѕtle, аnd heаrt. Jordаn аbѕolutely domіnаted the offenѕіve ѕіde of the bаll, eѕрecially when іt саme to ѕсoring, ѕo thаt the other two сould foсuѕ on theіr beѕt аttrіbutes. For Pіррen, thаt wаѕ hіѕ рlаymаking аnd defenѕіve effort. For Rodmаn, thаt wаѕ hіѕ іnсredіble knасk for reboundіng аnd houndіng defenѕe. Under the tutelаge of Phіl Jасkson, thіѕ trіo ассomplished the іmрossіble аѕ NBA сhаmpions аnd сemented theіr legасy аѕ а trіo of ѕtаrѕ, the lіkeѕ of whісh we wіll never ѕee аgаіn іn our lіfetіme.

As the season progresses, all eyes will be on Jordan and Hamlin to see how this unique blend of talent and passion impacts the fiercely competitive racing scene.

Suns Consider Trade Sending Devin Booker to Western Playoff Contender

Bradley Beal, Devin Booker, Kevin Durant

The Suns are in danger of an early exit from the 2024 NBA Playoffs. The Frank Vogel-lead team went down 2-0 in their first-round series to the Timberwolves on April 23, and are two losses away from being sent home.

The potential early exit could propel their front office to make drastic changes to the roster this offseason. Among those changes could be the bold call of splitting up the star-studded trio of Kevin Durant, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal.

The Ringer’s Bill Simmons has proposed a trade that would send Booker to the Pelicans in exchange for veteran guard CJ McCollum, rising 3&D star Trey Murphy III and two future first-round picks.

While proposing the idea on “The Bill Simmons Podcast,” Simmons explained why Murphy — currently viewed in the league as a role player — could blossom into an All-Star caliber player when he gains more experience in playoff situations.

    An Interesting Haul for Suns

While neither McCollum nor Murphy are perennial All-Stars like Booker, the duo could be seamless next to Durant, Beal & Co.

Murphy’s versatility to guard at least four positions and knock down threes at a high clip would fix many of Phoenix’s issues. In the 2023-24 season, he averaged 14.8 points and 4.9 rebounds while making an impressive 3 threes per game. Only seven players in the league averaged more threes per game than him. The 23-year-old only projects to get better with each passing year, and could prove to be a steal for Phoenix.

As for McCollum, he would bring veteran leadership and the calming influence severely lacking in the Suns offense.

Many have cited Suns’ lack of a point guard as the reason for their woes in the 2023-24 season.

“They never addressed the point guard situation and they needed another big body,” Charles Barkley said of the Suns on “Inside the NBA” on TNT on April 23. “That’s one of the things we talked about at the trade deadline. They need to have those three guys [Durant, Beal and Booker] finishing instead of initiating their offense and they play at a faster pace.”

Although McCollum isn’t a prototypical floor general, he does possess point guard skills and could organize the offense for Durant & Co.

    Other Suns Trade Options Limited

Unless the Suns make the drastic call of shipping out Kevin Durant, their chances of improving the roster significantly are limited. Bradley Beal has a no-trade clause in his contract, meaning he must approve a trade to a specific team. While Jusuf Nurkic has a cap-friendly $37.5 million and two years left on his deal, he has limited trade value.

The Suns don’t also have any tradeable first-round picks to enter the sweepstakes of Trae Young, Donovan Mitchell or any of the other star guards expected to become available in the 2024 offseason.

As such, unless Beal requests for a trade to a specific team, the Suns are likely to field the same roster in the 2024-25 season. That does not bode well for the championship expectations of a franchise that has one of the heftiest payrolls in the league.

Shaquille O’Neal Throws Billionaire Michael Jordan Into the Mix to Sound off Zion Williamson’s Sluggishness

In a surprising turn of events, former NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal has brought billionaire Michael Jordan into the spotlight, aiming to address Zion Williamson’s recent performance slump. With Williamson, the highly touted prospect, failing to meet the sky-high expectations set by analysts and fans alike, O’Neal’s outspoken commentary adds another layer of intrigue to the ongoing debate.

O’Neal, known for his dominant presence on the court and bold statements off it, didn’t hold back in his assessment of Williamson’s struggles. “Zion needs to step up his game. He’s got all the tools, but he’s not utilizing them effectively,” O’Neal remarked during a recent interview on ESPN.

What’s particularly noteworthy about O’Neal’s comments is his invocation of Michael Jordan, the basketball legend turned billionaire businessman. O’Neal suggested that Jordan could offer valuable insights to Williamson, given his unparalleled success both on and off the court. “Michael knows what it takes to excel in this league, and Zion could learn a lot from him,” O’Neal emphasized.

The inclusion of Jordan in this discussion adds a new dimension to the narrative surrounding Williamson’s performance woes. As the owner of the Charlotte Hornets and one of the most iconic figures in sports history, Jordan’s perspective carries significant weight. Could his guidance be the missing piece in Williamson’s quest to fulfill his immense potential?

With the NBA community buzzing about O’Neal’s comments and the potential involvement of Jordan, all eyes are now on Williamson to see how he responds. Will he heed the advice of these basketball titans and rediscover his form, or will his struggles persist? Only time will tell, but one thing is for certain: the spotlight on Zion Williamson has never been brighter.

Organization Disappointed by Anthony Davis’ Remarks Following Game 2 Loss to Nuggets. ‎

The Los Angeles Lakers were dealt a gut punch after they lost a winnable Game 2 to the Denver Nuggets, and now they find themselves in a hole after dropping Game 3 at home.

Los Angeles has played Denver well in the first half of every game this series, and it looked like they were well on their way to tying up the series before heading back home. The Lakers went up by as much as 20 points in the second half, but suddenly found themselves scrambling to hold onto their lead.

    Anthony Davis, Lakers

The Nuggets executed their game plan and adjustments perfectly to tie the game up late in the fourth quarter before Jamal Murray sunk the game-winning jumper over Anthony Davis. A frustrated Davis later dropped an alarming comment when he said that the team has stretches where the Lakers don’t know what they’re doing.

Not only did Davis’ words raise eyebrows, it also reportedly upset people within the organization, via Jared Greenberg of NBA TV:

“I can tell you, from speaking with people within the Lakers’ organization, they were upset and disappointed, quite frankly, by AD’s comments,” Greenberg said. “Publicly going out there, and putting his coach out there like that, particularly because the Lakers clearly had a good enough understanding of the game plan Monday to take a 20-point lead.

“Part of that 20-point lead was AD going 11-for-12 from the field in the first half. And then in the crucial fourth quarter, AD went 0-for-1. He just got one fourth-quarter shot and did not score any points. So the Lakers feel like they have a good enough understanding.”

NBA rumors: Lakers 'upset and disappointed' over viral Anthony ...

Davis isn’t one to usually throw people under the bus, but he was clearly not happy with how Los Angeles has played in second halves. While the Nuggets seem to implement adjustments and tweaks after halftime seamlessly, the Lakers haven’t shown the same sort of aptitude in that area.

The timing of the report didn’t help the team before Game 3 as it caused another distraction, and unfortunately Davis seemed to be proven right as Los Angeles didn’t have many answers for Denver in the second half.

Now down 0-3, the Lakers are on the brink of elimination and don’t seem to have enough firepower to overcome the defending champions.

Taurean Prince discusses how Lakers can contribute more in Nuggets series

Aside from a lack of adjustments, the bench hasn’t produced much through three games. Taurean Prince was the only bench player before Game 3 to score, and he discussed how he and the rest of the reserves can contribute more against the Nuggets.

Lakers’ LeBron James Urges Team to Approach 3-0 Deficit Against Nuggets ‘One Game At A Time. ‎

A return home to the Crypto.com Arena did not lead to a different outcome for the Los Angeles Lakers in their series against the Denver Nuggets. Once again, Anthony Davis and LeBron James played excellently and the Lakers took a double-digit lead over the Nuggets in the first half.

And once again, the Nuggets would track them down and come away with a victory, now holding a 3-0 series lead and 11 straight victories over the Lakers.

Things are looking extremely bleak for the Lakers now and it is well known that no team in NBA history has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit to win the series. But that won’t stop LeBron from losing hope in his team.
Denver Nuggets vs Los Angeles Lakers: estrellas, cuándo juegan y cómo verlos | Arrancan las Finales de la Conferencia Oeste de la NBA | Página|12
Following the Game 3 loss, James said that the Lakers just have to take things one game at a time, and as long as they still have life, he’ll keep believing in this team.

“It’s one game at a time at this point,” LeBron said. “You lose and you go home, so you come out with the mindset of let’s get one, force a Game 5 and then we’ll go from there. So as long as you still have life then you always have belief. I just think you play until the wheels fall off. That’s what it’s always about for me, as a mindset, and this guy next to me feels the same way.”

LeBron and Davis are combining to average nearly 60 points in the first three games of the series, but the rest of the team simply hasn’t been up to par. In particular, D’Angelo Russell and Rui Hachimura have given the Lakers next to nothing and the same can be said for the reserves.

It is clear that the Nuggets are just a bad matchup for the Lakers and the team has not been able to figure them out no matter what they do. The odds are greatly stacked against them, but LeBron, and Davis for that matter, will continue to give everything they have as long as there is a chance.

LeBron James discusses if pressure of needing to be near perfect is affecting Lakers

To defeat a team like the Nuggets, the Lakers have to be on point in every facet of the game. There is little room for error and they need to be basically perfect to come out on top. Some players are able to handle that pressure while others can’t and LeBron James doesn’t know what the case is for his Lakers teammates.

“I don’t know. It’s the postseason. We’re professionals. You’re supposed to have anxiety and pressure, feel the pressure, that’s what it’s about,” James said. “That’s what the postseason is about. So I don’t know how to answer that question, I don’t know. I don’t know. You have to ask the individuals that question and see how they feel. It’s hard for me to be like ‘This is what I think.’ I can’t do that, I’m not a mind reader. I don’t know.”

LeBron added that he and Anthony Davis have faced and overcome that pressure in the past, but that at the end of the day it is just basketball and players shouldn’t put too much of that pressure on themselves.

Scottie Pippen Says LeBron James Is The GOAT Because ‘He Does Everything’ On The Court

In a recent interview that sent shockwaves through the basketball community, NBA legend Scottie Pippen made a bold proclamation: LeBron James is the Greatest of All Time (GOAT). The statement sparked intense debate among fans and pundits alike, reigniting the perennial discussion of who truly deserves the title of basketball’s GOAT.

Pippen, renowned for his championship pedigree with the Chicago Bulls alongside Michael Jordan, offered compelling arguments to support his claim. Central to his assertion was James’ unparalleled versatility and all-around excellence on the court. According to Pippen, James possesses a unique ability to impact every facet of the game, from scoring and playmaking to defense and leadership.

The endorsement from a basketball icon like Pippen adds significant weight to James’ GOAT candidacy. Pippen’s own legacy as a six-time NBA champion and defensive stalwart lends credibility to his opinion, resonating with fans who hold his basketball acumen in high regard.

LeBron James’ career achievements further bolster his case for the GOAT title. With four NBA championships, four MVP awards, and numerous All-NBA selections, James has amassed a staggering array of accolades over his illustrious career. His longevity and sustained excellence have cemented his status as one of the greatest players to ever grace the hardwood.

However, Pippen’s declaration has also stirred dissent among supporters of other GOAT contenders, such as Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Critics argue that James’ career accomplishments, while impressive, do not surpass the unparalleled dominance and impact of players like Jordan and Abdul-Jabbar during their respective eras.

As the debate rages on, one thing remains certain: Scottie Pippen’s endorsement of LeBron James as the GOAT has reignited discussions and fueled the passion of basketball fans worldwide. Whether James ultimately claims the title of the greatest remains to be seen, but one thing is undeniable—his impact on the game transcends statistics and accolades, leaving an indelible mark on basketball history.
