The actress and basketball pro make a case for decorating with beige – creating an effortlessly ‘minimal and contemporary’ home admired by color experts

We can all learn a lot from Stephen and Ayesha Curry, the most talked-about couple in California’s Bay Area. The Golden State Warriors star Stephen and his actress wife Ayesha are icons on the basketball court and on screen – so if anyone can convince us to rethink conventions, it’s them. And they’ve just done precisely that – with beige.

Admittedly, we are sometimes quick to judge beige – the seemingly safe hue that rarely enjoys as much buzz as its more vibrant counterparts. However, the way we’re decorating with beige is changing.

This versatile tone is, at last, receiving recognition from designers (it’s been slated as the color replacing gray in 2023) and celebrities alike – and, of course, Stephen and Ayesha are right out in front of this color trend, taking this traditionally homey color and making it glamorous.

In a post, Ayesha, best known for About Last Night and Ayesha’s Home Kitchen, shared a look into their luxe, beige-colored space – which includes painted ceiling that ensures the room is a striking celebration of the color in question.

Gray is of the best accent colors for beige, so it’s no surprise to see a large gray sofa and rug (much like the one we’ve found below) included in the scheme – creating a color pairing that hasn’t gone unnoticed by Helen Shaw, a color expert and director of marketing at Benjamin Moore.

Helen recommends combining similar neutral-color families together – just as Ayesha and Stephen have done through their gray and beige pairing. However, if we’re looking to emphasize the color further, Helen suggests adding reds and oranges to the mix.

‘Neutrals are perfect for calming down busy and bold schemes while also perfect for enhancing minimal and contemporary looks. When looking to pair neutrals, look to group color families together, combining beige tones with reds and oranges,’ she says.

‘These colors are an essential color family for any interior renovation and range from cool grays to warm beiges and plaster pinks. Over the last few seasons, we have seen a progression toward the warmer shades as these feel comforting and uplifting.’

Of course, any beige is fit for purpose, but we can’t help but love this soothing tone from Backdrop, below.

“From that point on, Dennis Rodman was straight as an arrow, and we started to win”: Bulls legend Michael Jordan recalls the only time he called out The Worm in their three seasons together

“Dennis Rodman and Bill Laimbeer try to live up to their image as a**holes”: When Michael Jordan expressed his disdain for the Pistons bruisers

The time when Dennis Rodman got Micahel Jordan angry and what followed it worked like a charm on the troublesome forward.

The Chicago Bulls began the 1997-98 season knowing well enough that it’ll be all of their last rides together. The well-documented last season of the Bulls’ dynasty revealed several stories about most of the Bulls, with much concentration on the trio – Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman.

Bulls started that season with Pippen recovering from a surgery, meaning Jordan would be relying on Rodman to be his second fiddle, not just a rebounding monster that he usually was. With Jordan and Rodman leading from the front, the Bulls went 24-11 without Pippen.

Scottie made his season debut on January 10th. And then, as we all know, the Bulls most certainly didn’t stop without winning a championship to complete their second 3-peat. One of the greatest basketball dynasties then dissolved with the best possible ending.

But it wouldn’t have ended that way had Jordan, for the first and only time in their 3 years together, didn’t ask Rodman to be more accountable than he was.

Michael Jordan had enough of Rodman in their final year so let him know

It came as a surprise to many that Jordan and Rodman had such a respectful relationship that the former, who is famous for being an arrogant teammate, would leave any of his teammates out of his slander.

But the 5-time MVP had always kept “the Worm” out of his radar of thrashing and rightfully so, as the former “Bad Boy” Pistons man had one of the most threatening presence on the court.

Still during one of the early games in 1997-98, as “Dennis the Menace” got kicked out, Jordan was livid. He made sure Rodman got to know about his displeasure this time. However, things changed after the two-time Defensive Player of the Year went to Jordan’s hotel room to ask for a cigar. Listen to the incident as the 6-time Finals MVP tells it.

“He didn’t say an apology, he didn’t say anything, but by him coming to my room, it was his way of saying, ‘Look, I fu—- up.’ And from that point on, Dennis was straight as an arrow, and we started to win.”

With on fell sweep, MJ had Rodman being accountable and as sharp as ever. Goes to show how much the pair respected each other.

  • Beyond the Game: Patrick Mahomes’ Affinity for Rock Music Shines Bright! 🌟 Discover the Band He Swears By!

Beyond the Game: Patrick Mahomes’ Affinity for Rock Music Shines Bright! 🌟 Discover the Band He Swears By!

    [bg_collapse view=”button-orange” color=”#4a4949″ expand_text=”Show More” collapse_text=”Show Less” ]

Patrick Mahomes has established himself as one of the NFL’s top quarterbacks in recent years, leading the Kansas City Chiefs to a Super Bowl victory in 2020 and returning to the big game in 2023. Off the field, Mahomes has expressed his love and appreciation for rock music on several occasions. While he hasn’t explicitly stated his top three favorite rock bands, based on his comments and behaviors over the years, some of the rock acts Mahomes seems to enjoy most include AC/DC, Metallica, and Led Zeppelin.

    ## AC/DC

Australian hard rock legends AC/DC are arguably the band Mahomes has shown the strongest affinity for. He has been spotted wearing an AC/DC t-shirt on multiple occasions, including during practices and workouts in the offseason. Additionally, Mahomes has chosen AC/DC’s iconic song “Thunderstruck” as his entrance music when taking the field for Chiefs home games at Arrowhead Stadium.

The use of “Thunderstruck” as his intro song is a bold choice that gets the raucous Kansas City crowd amped up before each game. Its high-energy riffs and lyrics about feeling the power of nature perfectly capture Mahomes’ electric playing style and ability to will his team to victory through sheer force of will. It’s no surprise that a quarterback with Mahomes’ swagger and confidence would choose one of rock’s most badass anthems to accompany his walk through the tunnel.

Beyond wearing their merch and selecting their music, Mahomes has also expressed direct praise and admiration for AC/DC. In a 2021 interview, when asked about his favorite bands, Mahomes immediately responded “AC/DC, for sure.” He went on to say how much he enjoys their classic sound and timeless rock hits. It’s clear from his consistent repping of the band that AC/DC’s brand of no-frills hard rock really speaks to Mahomes on a personal level.

    ## Metallica

Another legendary rock act Mahomes has professed fandom for is the almighty Metallica. In the same 2021 interview where he named AC/DC, Mahomes also shouted out Metallica amongst his favorite bands. He elaborated that he enjoys “their old stuff, like Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets, those early albums.” Those albums from Metallica’s 1980s heyday are considered metal masterpieces and go-to albums for many lifelong fans, so Mahomes showing love for that era shows he’s a student of the genre.

To further demonstrate his Metallica fandom, Mahomes attended one of their concerts in Kansas City in 2020. He shared photos and video from the show on his social media, clearly enthralled by the experience of seeing one of his favorite bands perform live. His attendance at that Metallica concert, coupled with his praise of their classic albums, cements them as an act Mahomes genuinely enjoys on a musical level beyond just wearing a t-shirt or using a song. Getting to experience their legendary live show in person was obviously meaningful for the QB and lifelong rock music aficionado.

    ## Led Zeppelin

Rounding out Mahomes’ “big three” of rock bands seems to be English rock legends Led Zeppelin. While he hasn’t worn their merch or chosen a song of theirs for his entrance, Mahomes has name dropped Led Zeppelin in interviews as another band in his regular rotation. Specifically, in a GQ profile from 2021, Mahomes mentioned Led Zeppelin among the artists like AC/DC, Metallica and others that he enjoys listening to work out to and get pumped up.

Led Zeppelin’s expansive catalog spans blues rock, folk rock and everything in between. So their diverse sound undoubtedly keeps Mahomes engaged through various moods and activities. Their epic songs are perfect for getting in the zone before big games or intense workouts. It’s no surprise a multi-talented athlete like Mahomes would find inspiration in Led Zeppelin’s boundless creativity and talent. Their blend of virtuosity, aggression and soulfulness likely resonates with Mahomes on many levels.

    ## Other Rock Favorites

While those three bands seem to be at the top of Mahomes’ rock playlist, he has demonstrated appreciation for several other iconic artists over the years as well. For example, during the 2023 Chiefs Super Bowl parade, videos emerged of Mahomes belting out the opening lyrics to Guns N’ Roses’ classic “Welcome to the Jungle” while riding on a bus with teammates.

His ability to sing along word-for-word to such an enduring rock anthem showed not only his familiarity with GNR’s discography, but also his willingness to cut loose and have fun celebrating with his team. It served as another example of how rock music is deeply ingrained in Mahomes’ personality and means a lot to him, even in joyous championship moments.

Aside from GNR, Mahomes has also given props to other legendary rockers. In one interview he listed The Rolling Stones and Aerosmith as artists he listens to frequently. And after one of his MVP season performances, Mahomes tweeted “Bon Jovi slaps” along with the 100 emoji. Small gestures, but indicative that ’80s rock staples like Bon Jovi still find an audience with today’s top athletes.

    ## Impact of Rock on Mahomes’ Career

While impossible to quantify directly, it’s reasonable to assume Mahomes’ love of rock music has had some influence on his development and success both on and off the field. The high-energy, no-nonsense attitude of many rock bands likely provides Mahomes an emotional fuel and competitive spirit. Their lyrics of perseverance and triumph against adversity may also resonate with an athlete driven to be the best.

On game days specifically, the adrenaline rush from music like AC/DC or Metallica could give Mahomes an edge mentally and physically. Tuning into such intense music is a proven way to increase focus, motivation and output. So blasting those bands in his headphones during workouts or on the bus ride to the stadium may contribute to his laser-like focus come kickoff.

Additionally, rock music promotes qualities like fearlessness, confidence and improvisation that serve Mahomes well when things break down during plays. Much like a great rock band can spin on a dime, Mahomes thrives on thinking fast and adapting in chaotic moments – attributes likely shaped in part by his musical tastes.

Off the field, Mahomes’ passion for rock music helps shape his image as a multi-dimensional star transcending just football. His music fandom expands his relatability and likeability to more genres of fans. It also gives him crossover appeal far beyond just the typical NFL demographic. In an era where authenticity is prized, Mahomes’ genuine love of rock adds depth to how he’s perceived as a person and role model.

    ## Evolution of Tastes

While Mahomes’ affinity for classic rock stalwarts like AC/DC, Metallica and Led Zeppelin seems entrenched, his tastes may expand over time as well. As a young 26-year-old, he’s still discovering new music and artists that resonate with him. It’s possible Mahomes branches out to harder-edged rock subgenres like metal or explores contemporary rock bands emerging since his childhood.

Artists like Ghost, Royal Blood or Greta Van Fleet carrying rock’s torch in modern eras could appeal to Mahomes’ evolving palette. He may also delve deeper into the rock catalogs of artists he’s already endorsed to uncover hidden gems. With such a voracious appetite for music, it’s hard to predict all the places Mahomes’ rock fandom may lead him in the coming years.

But one thing seems certain – rock music will remain an integral part of Mahomes’ identity and fuel for his success on and off the field. The bands and songs close to his heart provide inspiration and escape from the pressures of NFL stardom. They remind us Mahomes is just as multi-dimensional as the artists he admires, with rock fandom being a defining personal passion beyond his day job. As long as he’s shredding on Sundays, rock bands everywhere have a new high-profile champion in Patrick Mahomes.

While the NBA is still on hold due to the coronavirus, the college basketball season is over. The NCAA season was cut short prior to the iconic 68-team tournament.

With no March Madness in 2020, Warriors Wire is highlighting worthy performances from current members on the Golden State squad. Draymond Green, Jordan Poole and Eric Paschall all recorded significant achievements in March. However, one Warrior was apart of an unforgettable upset run through the big dance.

Buy Warriors TicketsBefore he was splashing three-pointers on his way the Most Valuable Player award, Stephen Curry was a key piece for the 10th seeded Davidson Wildcats.

    March 28, 2008

Behind a pair of jaw-dropping shooting displays against Gonzaga and Georgetown, Curry’s wildcats traveled to Fox Field in Detroit for the Sweet 16.

Davidson met up with the third-seeded Wisconsin Badgers in the Midwest Regional Final. Bo Ryan’s 30-5 Badgers boasted a rotation with three All-Big Ten players. Wisconsin’s guard Joe Krabenhoff was named to the Big-Ten All-Defensive Team. After two 15-point victories, the Badgers coasted into the Sweet 16.

No matter the accolades, it wasn’t enough to slow down Curry. The second-team All-American toasted the defensive combo of Krabenhoff and Michael Flowers for 33 of Davidson’s 73 points en route to the Elite Eight.

The future lottery pick drilled six shots from beyond the arc while adding four assists, four steals and three rebounds. Curry’s 33 in the Sweet 16 was his fourth straight 30-point effort in the NCAA Tournament.

However, Curry’s magical tournament run ended two days later in the Elite Eight to the future champion Kansas Jayhawks.

  • Michael Jordan to present Kobe Bryant at Hall of Fame induction

Michael Jordan to present Kobe Bryant at Hall of Fame induction

Michael Jordan will present Kobe Bryant for enshrinement in the Hall of Fame on Saturday in Connecticut.

From gravity-defying dunks and in-air acrobatics to an unquenchable thirst for dominance and an overt disdain for anything shy of excellence, Kobe Bryant spent much of his life following in the footsteps left by Michael Jordan’s iconic Nike sneakers.

This weekend that path winds its way into New England, where Jordan will once more show Bryant the way, this time formally inviting him atop basketball’s most elite mountaintop.

On Saturday Jordan will present Bryant for posthumous enshrinement into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, an inevitable honor delayed nearly nine months by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The late Los Angeles Lakers legend enters the Hall as the glistening centerpiece of a star-studded 2020 class, one which also includes fellow players Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett, as well as former WNBA MVP Tamika Catchings and three-time NCAA National Championship coach Kim Mulkey. The nationally televised ceremony tips-off at 5:30 p.m. from Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Vanessa Bryant, Kobe’s widow, will speak in honor of her late husband, while Jordan, a 2009 Hall of Fame inductee, will accompany her on stage. On January 26, 2020, Kobe Bryant, along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others, tragically died in a California helicopter crash. According to the Hall of Fame, presenters are selected by “incoming Hall of Famers, or their family members if recognized posthumously.”

Following Bryant’s death, it was Vanessa who tabbed Jordan for Kobe’s enshrinement, a nod to the pair’s roundball bond. Kobe had long modeled his game after Jordan’s, considering the six-time NBA champion a mentor and confidant. Jordan, meanwhile, referred to Bryant as his “little brother,” and during Bryant’s Los Angeles memorial service shared that, “When Kobe died, a part of me died.”

Jordan recently revealed that he still clings to the last conversation he and Bryant shared, a series of texts tapped out between the two that Jordan can’t bring himself to remove from his smart phone.

“I don’t know why,” he says, “but I just can’t delete it.”

Though it’s uncertain how much Jordan will speak Saturday night, he’ll no doubt be guarding against a force as unrelenting as any he or Bryant saw during either of their legendary careers – the emotions of the moment. After all, it was during his own Hall of Fame induction in 2009 when Jordan famously failed to fight back rivers of tears, a scene which ultimately birthed the infamous “Crying Jordan Meme.”

But Bryant’s ceremony will be far different than Jordan’s, as the former’s absence figures to hang palpably in the air, just as both Bryant’s No. 8 and No. 24 jerseys float among the Staples Center rafters.

At age 41, Bryant is the rare legend to die prior to his own Hall of Fame induction. The world will never know what he might have said on this evening, how he’d have reflected on his journey, the one traveled along the path paved by Jordan that he was further clearing for Gianna, herself a blossoming basketball player.

And while Bryant’s acceptance speech will go unheard, his achievements have long spoken for themselves. During his 20-year-career – all spent with the Lakers – the 6’6” Bryant collected five NBA championships, was selected to 18 All-Star teams, earned the NBA MVP, and twice led the league in scoring. His 33,643 points scored are 4th most all-time, 1,351 ahead of Jordan, who sits one place back of Bryant.

But as close as Bryant and Jordan were statistically, it’s unlikely that numbers will drive the narrative during this weekend’s events. More likely, the conversation will center around the passion shared by the two elite masters of their craft, one gone far too soon, the other called upon one final time to set the stage for his little brother.

Stephen Curry’s Love Life Exploring His Relationships, Wife, and Beautiful Family

From Teenagers at Church to Hollywood Power Couple: A Timeline of Stephen and Ayesha Curry’s Relationship

    Stephen-and-Ayesha-Curry-timeline

Though they quickly became one of Hollywood’s most powerful couples, Stephen and Ayesha Curry’s love story had a humble beginning.

The NBA star was 15 years old when he and the Seasoned Life author, then 14, met at church in North Carolina. Though they’ve both since admitted they were fond of each other at a young age, it wasn’t until years later that they would reconnect as adults and give romance a shot.

“I always had my eye on her, but I got a little shaken, for sure,” Stephen previously told Parents Magazine of their teenage years.

Fast-forward a few years, and the Golden State Warriors point guard finally got the chance to pursue the then-aspiring actress while on a trip to Los Angeles, where she was living. During his East Coast visit for the ESPY Awards, Stephen and Ayesha spent the day together as just friends, and they later turned romantic.

Really, they're just a couple of goofballs. | Ayesha curry, Couple outfits, Stephen curry pictures

The couple tied the knot in July 2011, and despite being in their early 20s, they knew it was meant to be.

“I was 23; she was 22. But I knew I had found the right woman and I wanted to start a life with her,” the athlete told Parents.

Following their nuptials, Ayesha put her acting career on hold after finding out she was pregnant with their daughter Riley.

“She was a borderline honeymoon baby,” Ayesha explained of how quick things changed for their family. “So that became my next move. I struggled with that for a while.”

While Stephen’s NBA career began to take off, Ayesha found her calling in the culinary world, opening restaurants around the United States, writing cookbooks and even hosting game shows, including Family Food Fight. Whether it be regular season games or championships, Ayesha is often in the crowd cheering her hubby on, while he does the same for her in her endeavors.

The couple later welcomed daughter Ryan and son Canon.

Ayesha gushed about her husband’s parenting skills in a 2016 interview with Parents Magazine. “The thing I love about him is that he’s not too cool for school,” she shared at the time. “He’ll get down on the floor and play with the girls. He’ll put on dress-up clothes if he has to, and he’s very patient, which is something I’m not. We balance each other out.”

Although Ayesha noted that “it’s a dream come true” if all five of them get out of the house on time every day, Stephen said he knows all of the difficult parts of raising three kids will pay off later. “All those little checkpoints are going to be fun, and there will be ups and downs along the way,” he shared. “Watching our children go through those life experiences will be amazing.”

She continued: “It’s living that 80/20 life and making sure that I’m enjoying life’s celebratory moments, and then, in between, making healthier choices. For me, it couldn’t be so rigid, and I found the best results when I kind of loosened up a little bit.”

April 15 (UPI) — The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Thursday revealed its list of Hall of Famers who are scheduled to present the Class of 2020, with NBA icon Michael Jordan honoring Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant.

Jordan, who spoke at Bryant’s memorial service in February 2020, also will introduce Baylor women’s basketball coach Kim Mulkey, making him the only Hall of Famer who will present multiple honorees during this year’s induction ceremony.

The strong connection between Jordan and Bryant came to light when the former Chicago Bulls superstar gave his heartfelt speech at the memorial service after Bryant’s death in a helicopter crash in January 2020.

“Maybe it surprised people that Kobe and I were very close friends, but we were very close friends,” Jordan said. “Kobe was my dear friend; he was like a little brother. … As I got to know him, I wanted to be the best big brother I could be.”

Bryant is one of many big names in the 2020 class, which is being honored May 15 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fellow first-ballot inductees Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett will be presented by David Robinson and Isiah Thomas, respectively, while two-time NBA champion and former Houston Rockets coach Rudy Tomjanovich will be introduced by franchise legends Hakeem Olajuwon and Calvin Murphy.

Former NBA player Sidney Moncrief, Kansas head coach Bill Self and Kentucky head coach John Calipari will present Eddie Sutton, who made three Final Fours and was the national college coach of the year four times. Sutton died last May.

Five-time Division II national coach of the year Barbara Stevens will be introduced by Connecticut women’s coach Geno Auriemma and former Notre Dame women’s coach Muffet McGraw, while WNBA great Tamika Catchings will be presented by Alonzo Mourning and South Carolina women’s coach Dawn Staley.
Longtime FIBA executive Patrick Baumann, who died in 2018, will be honored by former NBA deputy commissioner Ross Granik and Vlade Divac.

Discover the unbreakable bond between Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce as they navigate challenges together, proving teamwork is key

Brotherly Bond Between Chiefs Stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce

    [bg_collapse view=”button-orange” color=”#4a4949″ expand_text=”Show More” collapse_text=”Show Less” ]

When you watch Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce play for the Kansas City Chiefs, their chemistry on the field is undeniable. The precision of Mahomes’ throws and Kelce’s route running seem almost telepathic at times, leading to many big plays and touchdowns for the Chiefs offense. However, their connection goes far beyond what happens between the lines on game day. Mahomes and Kelce share a bond of friendship and brotherhood that has helped propel both of their careers to new heights.

Mahomes and Kelce consider each other family at this point. They have spoken numerous times about how their relationship feels more like a brotherhood than just teammates or friends. Both players credit a lot of their on-field success to the level of trust and respect they have developed for one another away from the stadiums and practice fields as well. Whether it’s hanging out with each other’s families or celebrating major life events together, Mahomes and Kelce are as close as brothers.

Their friendship began in 2017 when Mahomes was drafted by the Chiefs tenth overall after a standout college career at Texas Tech. Kelce had already established himself as one of the top tight ends in the NFL during his first four seasons in Kansas City. But from their first interactions in the quarterback room and on the practice field, there was an instant connection and chemistry between the two young stars.

“The moment I got to Kansas City, Travis took me under his wing,” Mahomes recalled. “He helped me learn the playbook and get acclimated to the NFL. His leadership and guidance was so important to me as a rookie.” Kelce echoed those sentiments, saying helping Mahomes transition to the pros was “a no-brainer” given his talent and potential.

That rookie year, Mahomes saw limited action behind veteran quarterback Alex Smith but made the most of his opportunities. He threw for over 200 yards in his first career start against the Denver Broncos late in the season. Kelce caught 4 passes for 66 yards and a touchdown in that game, showcasing the early promise of their partnership. The following offseason, when Smith was traded to Washington, Mahomes took over as the full-time starter in his second year.

In 2018, Mahomes and Kelce took the NFL by storm. Mahomes threw for over 5000 yards and 50 touchdowns en route to being named MVP and leading the Chiefs to the AFC Championship. Kelce himself had one of the greatest seasons ever by a tight end, recording over 1000 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns. Their connection was on full display as Kelce caught at least one pass in every single game and was Mahomes’ most trusted target.

After the season, Kelce said of Mahomes: “The trust we have in each other on and off the field is what makes us so successful. We know each other’s games inside and out at this point. Patrick is like a brother to me – we’ve been through so much together already in our short time in KC.”

That brotherly bond between the two was evident all throughout the 2018 season and playoffs in their interactions on the sideline, in the huddle, and during postgame celebrations. They were nearly inseparable, constantly supporting and encouraging each other through both individual and team accomplishments. Whether it was Mahomes finding Kelce for a clutch third down conversion or Kelce blocking downfield to spring Mahomes for a long scramble, their chemistry propelled historic numbers.

The close friendship has also extended to family time off the field. Mahomes and Kelce have been present for some of each other’s biggest life moments in recent years. In 2020, Mahomes was a groomsman in Kelce’s wedding. Later that same year, Kelce was on hand in Hawaii to celebrate Mahomes’ own nuptials to his high school sweetheart Brittany Matthews.

At both weddings, you could see the genuine care and affection Mahomes and Kelce have for one another. Their families have also become intertwined, going on vacations together and allowing their children to grow up as cousins. Brittany Matthews has said Kelce feels like “another brother” to her and Patrick at this point in their lives. The bond between the QB-TE duo is as strong as ever both on and off the field.

That connection was put to the test in the 2021 AFC Championship against the Cincinnati Bengals. After jumping out to a 21-3 halftime lead, the Chiefs saw the Bengals storm back to tie the game late in the 4th quarter. With just over a minute left and no timeouts, Mahomes led the Chiefs down the field and hit Kelce over the middle for a big gain to set up the game-winning field goal as time expired.

In the postgame celebration on the field, Mahomes and Kelce could be seen embracing, clearly overcome with emotion from the magnitude of winning another conference title together. Their postgame interview summed up the trust and brotherhood that has defined their time in Kansas City so far. Kelce said of the game-winning drive “I told Pat coming out of the huddle on that last play, ‘Just give me a chance big bro.’ And he delivered.”

Off the field, Mahomes and Kelce continue to support each other in their various endeavors and businesses. Kelce has invested in several of Mahomes’ companies like Kauffman Sports and has been a vocal advocate for his QB. Meanwhile, Mahomes was one of the first to publicly congratulate Kelce on signing a massive contract extension prior to the 2021 season. Their friendship has even extended to pop star Taylor Swift, who is close friends with Brittany Matthews.

While Kelce and Swift had a public exchange on Twitter a few years ago regarding her music, that dynamic has since shifted. Kelce was even able to meet Swift backstage at one of her concerts thanks to Matthews and Mahomes. It’s another example of how their tight social circles overlap due to their strong bond. Going forward, Chiefs fans are hopeful this brotherly duo of Mahomes and Kelce can continue elevating each other and leading the franchise to more Super Bowl victories.

In conclusion, the friendship between Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce is truly special. From their instant chemistry on the field to being there for life’s biggest moments off it, their bond goes far beyond X’s and O’s. The level of trust, respect and brotherhood they share has been a driving force behind some of the most explosive offenses in NFL history. As long as they remain in Kansas City together, Chiefs Kingdom is confident in their dynamic duo to keep delivering memorable plays and championships for many years to come.

Drake and Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry exchange pleasantries during Toronto Raptors' 118-109 win in NBA Finals' Game 1 at ScotiaBank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, on Thursday, May 30, 2019.

Drake’s incessant need for attention inadvertently “ruined” a sweet tribute Stephen Curry planned for his father Dell.

Dell, who handled the whole thing with good humor, shared Tuesday that his son had an homage in the works for Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

“Before I flew to Toronto, Steph called me and said, ‘Hey pops, pack me one of your old Toronto jerseys,’” Dell Curry said on a conference call for July’s American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament in Tahoe. “That was the exact same jersey I packed for him. … Then Drake shows up in it so that ruined that.”

Drake, of course, wore a vintage Dell Curry Toronto Raptors to Game 1; Dell played for the Raptors from 1999-2002. Curry had planned to wear that same jersey prior to Game 2 of the finals according to Dell.

“It was all fun. You know all about the trolling and everything,” he said. “He went to great depth to get that jersey, so it’s probably a little bit of respect. I think more than that, it fired up the Warriors even more to try to steal a game there in Toronto and I think they did just that.”

ALSO: At Game 2, Drake finds a new target for his Warriors trolling: Kevin Durant

Indeed, it was no easy task for Drake to obtain that jersey. According to a report from The Action Network’s Darren Rovell, Brooklyn vintage sports clothing seller Al Martiniello got a message from Drake’s stylist at 1 a.m. the day of Game 1. Martiniello got his hands on the desired throwback, but was worried overnighting the item wouldn’t get it there in time.

So instead, he and a friend drove 10 hours to Toronto to get the jersey in Drake’s hands.

The Golden State Warriors take on the Toronto Raptors in Game 3 of the NBA Finals tonight at 6 p.m.
