Lewis Hamilton is months away from leaving Mercedes and joining Ferrari which will see him reunite with Fred Vasseur, whom he has known for ages. However, the old friendship that Hamilton and Vasseuer share could end up taking a hit if “success” becomes an issue for the Briton at Ferrari, per former Haas team principal Guenther Steiner.

On the Nailing The Apex podcast, Steiner gave his take on the potential dynamic between Hamilton and Vasseuer, who took over as Ferrari’s team principal in 2023. Their old bonding, in Steiner’s opinion, could help Hamilton settle well in the team. How things unfold later, however, depends on Ferrari’s performance.

    Steiner said,

“The issue could come up if they don’t have success, you know. One or the other, either the team or the driver doesn’t perform, then obviously it’s a new scenario.”

Despite the potential highlighted issue, Steiner believes there is no reason why Hamilton and Vasseur won’t get along at Ferrari. “I think they’ve been there before, and I think they’ve got a good chance to sort the problem out,” asserted the 59-year-old.

Steiner keeps in mind the fact that Hamilton and Vasseur’s relationship goes way before they became big names in F1. Hamilton raced under the latter’s guidance in Formula 3 as well as GP2 in his junior days.

Lewis Hamilton and Fred Vasseur’s connection

Hamilton and Vasseur developed a close relationship back in the early 2000s, when the Stevenage-born driver was making waves in the junior Formula categories. He drove for Vasseur’s F3 team ASM and GP2 team ART, and together, they won 2005 Euro Series and the 2006 GP2 Series.

In 2007, the two of them parted ways, with Hamilton going on to become a force to reckon with in F1 whereas Vasseur remained in the junior Formulas, developing other young drivers.

Vasseur made his way to F1 nine years later through Renault before becoming Team Principal of Sauber in 2017. After seven seasons in charge of the Hinwil-based outfit, Vasseur joined Ferrari, where the 55-year-old will reunite with Hamilton in 2025.

Hamilton and Vasseur haven’t been in the same team since 2007 and even in F1, their interests remained different. Still, their friendship made them stay in touch and the seven-time World Champion admitted to talking to his former boss before almost all his races through the years.

The infamous moment saw him lose the title on the final lap of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Hamilton had a healthy lead but a safety car was called after Nicholas Latifi crashed with five laps to go.

Controversially, race director Michael Masi allowed the likes of Max Verstappen to overtake lapped cars separating him from Hamilton.

With Verstappen on soft tyres, he was able to easily overtake Hamilton on the final lap of the race.

Speaking to GQ, he said that it was the day in his life that “hurt him the most” and that the only consolation was that he had his father there for support.

Adrian Newey ‘set for showdown talks with Red Bull’ over possible exit from team… but the F1 chief ‘has NOT told them he wants to leave yet’ – as reports in Italy claim ‘Ferrari would have to pay £85m’ to lure him to Maranello

Adrian Newey will reportedly have showdown talks with Red Bull over his future with the team.

Mail Sport understands that Newey, Red Bull’s chief designer, is disillusioned with the political upheaval at the team. There is a power-play taking place behind the scandal that has convulsed the team in recent months.

Reports on Thursday claimed that Newey, Red Bull’s legendary car designer, had infromed the team that he would be leaving.

However, The Guardian writes that both Newey and Red Bull were surprised by the reports and that he is yet to offer his resignation, with formal talks to follow.

Red Bull have simply insisted that he is ‘under contract to the end of 2025’ and Newey has not publicly commented.

Max Verstappen should be ‘celebrated and not chastised’ by fans for his domination, insists former F1 team principal… with Sergio Perez backed to remain as Red Bull’s No2

Fans should celebrate rather than criticise Max Verstappen’s brilliance, according to ex-Formula One team principal Otmar Szafnauer.

In a wide-ranging interview, the former Alpine boss calls for a fourth race in America and backs Sergio Perez to continue as Verstappen’s Red Bull team-mate.

Szafnauer, 59, is currently on gardening leave after being fired last year by buffoons at Alpine’s owners Renault, who have no idea how to run a F1 team. He is currently promoting his high-tech travel and event app, EventR.

Talking over lunch in west London about Verstappen blazing his way to a fourth world title, Szafnauer said: ‘You can’t get rid of Max. The sport has gone through this before. Max will not be champion forever. It will change. We have had Michael (Schumacher) and Lewis (Hamilton).

‘Now you have got the Netflix fans who are just learning and you don’t want to lose them, but if Max is winning all the time, will you lose them? I don’t know the answer to that. But we have to celebrate Max for his brilliance and not chastise him.

Formula 1 has quickly blossomed into a multi-billion dollar business ever since Liberty Media bought the commercial rights of the sport from Bernie Ecclestone in 2017. Motorsport.com recently revealed the valuations for the ten F1 teams on the grid. Unsurprisingly, Ferrari, the oldest and most iconic competitor in F1, has the legs on its rivals in terms of its commercial lucrativeness.

As per the report, Ferrari are valued at a staggering $3.9 billion in 2024. Established all the way back in 1929 by the late Enzo Ferrari, the team has competed in every single F1 season since the sport’s inception in 1950. To this day, the Ferrari name remains one of the most revered teams of motorsport and its latest valuations do justice to its rich legacy.

    View post on X

In the modern era of Grand Prix racing, these valuations find their feet in terms of the revenue the teams generate. Ferrari has several sponsors, two very marketable racing drivers, and a historical bonus in the current Concorde Agreement.

Furthermore, ever since Liberty Media took over the reins of the sport, F1 has boomed commercially in the American market as well. This has led to huge revenue in terms of TV rights and other sponsor engagements. Ferrari has been at the forefront of this venture as well.

Recently, they announced a historic title sponsorship deal with American tech giant Hewlett-Packard. This deal is valued at around $90 million.

Ferrari lead the motorsport revolution in the United States of America

Under the stewardship of Bernie Ecclestone, F1 was a popular sport but confined mainly to European audiences. Now, with Liberty Media taking over F1, the sport has tapped into the goldmine of sports marketing – America.

    View post on X

However, with this upturn in fortunes, F1 has now become a very inaccessible market for newcomers. With how hefty the valuations have become, it is virtually impossible for anyone to buy a team on the grid, let alone start as a fresh entrant.

For 2026, the only new team on the grid is Audi. The German automobile giants will be buying out the existing Sauber team and rebranding it into a works outfit. There have been offers for an 11th team on the grid as well – most notably from Andretti. But the sport along with all the ten teams have firmly shut that door for now.

LOVE IN LOVE: Close-up of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce ‘Super Adorable’ were radiant as they held hands and attended at Mahomes’ Foundation Gala..

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce seemed to be as in love as ever as they held hands, smiled and cheered each other on at Patrick Mahomes’ charity gala in Las Vegas Saturday night.

“The Tortured Poets Department” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end were seen attending the 15 and Mahomies Foundation Golf Classic gala alongside Patrick and his wife, Brittany Mahomes.

In one video shared by an attendee, Swift and Kelce were seen looking “adorable” while Kelce took Swift’s hand and led her through the room full of chairs and tables.

Kelce hopped on stage and announced they were auctioning off four tickets to Swift’s Eras Tour.

Swift and Kelce, both 34, seemed to be having a fun time, and one guest posted video of Swift smiling and laughing while Kelce caught a football that Patrick flung from the stage.

Tất nhiên, không ai khác ngoài Kelce sẽ là người nhận được sự cho phép từ QB của Trưởng nhóm

Later on in the evening, Kelce got up on stage and surprised guests by announcing that his “significant other” was adding some tickets to her Eras Tour concerts as part of the live auction, per an Instagram Story shared by Sophia Romano.

“Alright, alright, alright, I think I was just talking to my significant other, and we might have one other alternate item that wasn’t on the docket. Um, has anybody heard of the Eras Tour?” he teased into the microphone while the crowd cheered.

“Does that fire anybody up right now?!” he screamed while the attendees shouted and applauded.

The tight end then revealed that Swift had offered to auction up “four tickets” to shows in New Orleans, Miami or Indianapolis when her record-breaking tour returns to the United States in the fall.

“Does that fire anybody up right now?!” he screamed while the attendees shouted and applauded.

Of course, it didn’t take long for people to start bidding on the highly coveted tickets, and in a video posted by Romano, Kelce and the live auctioneer jumped off stage and started taking people’s bids of $20,000 and $30,000

The four tickets eventually went for $80,000, according to the auctioneer.

The auctioneer, Harry Santa-Olalla, later revealed on his Instagram Stories that the tickets eventually sold for a whopping $80,000 to an unknown bidder.

“This is insane! Let’s go!” Santa-Olalla shouted while Kelce stood next to him.

Kelce, Swift and the rest of the guests were seen waving their gold and red Chiefs-themed napkins in the air while cheering.

When Kelce wasn’t running around or taking over emcee duties, he was sitting next to Swift, Patrick and Brittany at a table to the left of the stage. It’s unclear who else joined their star-studded table.

During the gala she was joined at her table with Brittany Mahomes and Patrick who leaned over their chairs to watch Travis warm up the crowd to help bid big money for pairs of her upcoming tour tickets as the crowd went wild inside the exclusive auction in the Bellagio hotel.

The Grammy winner and the Super Bowl champion each got dolled up for the special night. Kelce looked dapper in a matching navy suit with a white button-down underneath.

Meanwhile, Swift stunned in an emerald green gown with spaghetti straps and cutouts in the back. She added a gold linked choker necklace and matching gold clutch.

Since TMZ revealed on Saturday that the power couple went on a double date with Patrick and Brittany at Easy’s Cocktail Lounge inside the Aria Resort & Casino, it is believed that the couple arrived in Sin City earlier in the weekend.

Less than two weeks remain before Swift resumes her Eras Tour in Paris on May 9—the date of her Vegas appearance. Kelce had already declared his attendance.

Us Weekly claims that although Swift’s relationship with Kelce has grown more serious, she is reportedly “sad” and conflicted about going back on tour.

BREAKING NEWS: Taylor Swift’s new album is blasphemous and mocks God, outraged Christian leaders claim..

Faith leads are out on Taylor Swift‘s Tortured Poets Department as they claim the superstar has crossed the line going from secular to anti-Christian with many of the lyrics off her latest release.

Religious critics of Swift’s much-hyped record say the songstress’s writing implies that Christians are hateful, judgmental, vindictive people.

Shane Pruitt of the Southern Baptist Convention’s North American Mission Board pointed to specific lyrics he found objectionable.

In the song ‘But Daddy I Love Him,’ for instance, Swift croons: ‘But daddy I love him / I just learned these people only raise you / To cage you / Sarahs and Hannahs in their Sunday best / Clutchin’ their pearls, sighing, ‘What a mess’ / I just learned these people try and save you ‘Cause they hate you.’

She goes on to sing: ‘God save the most judgmental creeps,’ the same people she claims ‘Sanctimoniously perform soliloquies.’

‘You ain’t gotta pray for me,’ she goes on.

Some Christian faith leaders have turned away from Taylor Swift's new album, claiming it is blasphemous and makes a mockery of their faith

Some Christian faith leaders have turned away from Taylor Swift’s new album, claiming it is blasphemous and makes a mockery of their faith

In another song, ‘Guilty As Sin,’ the billionaire pop princess sings: ‘What if I roll the stone away? / They’re gonna crucify me anyway / What if the way you hold me is actually what’s holy.’

Many of the songs are also tagged with ‘E’ for explicit, making them arguably less than appropriate for a young Christian audience.

Pruitt, who is the National Next Gen director for the SBC’s board wrote about the line he feels Swift has crossed with her latest work:

‘I’m definitely not the minister or parent that has the ‘no secular music’ stance. Also, I fully realize unbelievers are going to act like unbelievers. HOWEVER, there is a difference between being secular and being ANTI-CHRISTIAN,’ he wrote.

He added that he has historically been a Swift listener but thinks it may now be ‘time to reconsider.’

‘As Christians, who are filled with the Spirit, should we be entertained by, sing with, and expose our kids to lyrics that aren’t just different than what you believe, but are actually mocking what you believe?’ he questioned.

Pruitt is not the only faithful entertainment consumer who found massive flaw with Swift’s latest offering.

MovieGuide, a Christian entertainment review company declares that Tortured Poets Department ‘mocks Christianity.’

‘While it’s no secret that Taylor Swift is not a Christian, she made her hatred for religion known through her newly released album ‘The Tortured Poets Department,” reads the MovieGuide review.

‘The album is full of minor quips that elevate Swift above God while also featuring two songs devoted to tearing down the Christian sexual ethic.’

Faith leader Shane Pruitt called Swift's Tortured Poets Department into question in a Facebook post he titled 'LYRICS MATTER'

    Then the review got personal.

‘The fact that one of the most popular and famous celebrities of her generation cannot find happiness reveals that living in the world leads to death while living for Christ and under his teachings leads to life.

‘Unfortunately, Swift has chosen the path toward death and is reaping the fruits of her labor.’

Swift’s album, which arrived with a surprise extra 15 songs 10 days ago, has been adored by her fans and some critics alike, but not received uniformly well, with some claiming the hitmaker’s rushed double album lacks creativity and showcases immaturity as an artist.

One review from Paste Magazine, which removed the writer’s name from the article due to the all-but-certain threat of deranged hostility from Swift’s fan militia, said Swift has been unable to stop herself from creatively ‘infantiliz(ng) the very people who buy into her music and drive her successes upwards in the first place.’

The unnamed author claims The Tortured Poets Department’s eponymous track ‘featured some of Swift’s worse lyricism to date.’

The author went on to ponder whether Swift, a freshly named Forbes billionaire, is still capable of experiencing ‘torture’ of the sort she writes about in this album.

‘If Swift can return to one of her dozen beach houses across the world, kick up her feet and say “I’m a poet of struggle,” then who is to say that millions – maybe billions – of people with access to a notes app and a social media account won’t dream that dream, too?’ read the review.

On Sunday, Billboard announced Swift’s album debuted at No. 1 atop the Billboard 200 marked her 14th No. 1 album, tying her for the most among solo performers. TTPD also received the most ever amount of streams in a week for an album.
