Travis, Jason Kelce reveal Mother’s Day plans after their mom calls out their poor gift-giving skills

Jason Kelce and wife Kylie Kelce

It seems like being called out by your own mother is just the kind of motivation one needs to get a great Mother’s Day gift for your mom and wife this year.

Jason and Travis Kelce’s mother Donna Kelce was on the Today Show to show off some of her favorite ideas for Mother’s Day presents, and America’s football mom was asked if her sons are good gift givers when it comes to the holiday.

Mama Kelce had no shame in putting her sons on blast for their crappy gift-giving skills.

“Boys usually are not,” she said. “I’m very rarely in the same place they are on Mother’s Day because it’s their offseason, so they’re off and running and doing their own thing. But that’s OK, I’ve had so many blessings that I don’t even care.”

And what’s worse? The brothers couldn’t deny it.

The former Philadelphia Eagles star lineman and the current Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro tight end reacted to their mom’s appearance on the show on their latest episode of “New Heights,” released May 1, and acknowledged their lack of talent when it comes to choosing Mother’s Day gifts.

“Mom was on the Today show to share some Mother’s Day gift ideas, and she was also asked if the two of us are good at Mother’s Day gifts. Are we gift-givers?” Travis Kelce asked.

“Don’t ask Kylie,” Jason Kelce said, referring to his wife. “I am a bad gift planner and giver.”

It seems the older Kelce sibling is so bad at gift-giving – unlike Kylie apparently – that he’s a month late on an anniversary gift for her as well.

Since the two have been married for six years, it’s traditionally their iron anniversary. With that in mind, Travis Kelce went on to suggest he have a sword made for his wife for either occasion, which led Jason Kelce to search for somewhere he could obtain a custom sword between the time the episode was recorded and when it aired.

“At least she was honest, and she didn’t just keep us like we’re unhuman,” Travis Kelce said about their mother. “You’ve got to be [expletive] at something.”

“I can’t be good at dancing and be good at gift giving. I can only have one of those,” Jason Kelce joked.

“We should just send Mom gifs of us dancing for Mother’s Day,” Travis Kelce suggested.

“For a gift, you’re going to get a gif,” Jason Kelce replied.

“What do you get a woman that has everything?” Travis Kelce wondered out loud.

Jason Kelce said he usually gets Kylie hydrangeas, chocolates, and a card. Meanwhile, his mom usually receives “a heartfelt Mother’s Day text.”

Fortunately, this year will be different for their mother.

“Mom, we’re going to figure it out,” Travis Kelce said. “This year you’re getting it because you called us out, and now if you get too much stuff, it’s your fault. Love you.”

  • Eagles Rookie Dylan McMahon Reveals ‘Crazy Moment’ Meeting Jason Kelce

Eagles Rookie Dylan McMahon Reveals ‘Crazy Moment’ Meeting Jason Kelce

PHILADELPHIA – He walked into the locker room and Dylan McMahon looked like he had seen a ghost. It was just Jason Kelce. Just Jason Kelce.

As if running into a likely first-ballot Hall of Fame player is an everyday occurrence for the Philadelphia Eagles rookie. The meeting came on Thursday, as rookies began filtering for the team’s rookie minicamp, which got underway on Friday and will run through Saturday.

McMahon went into the team’s weight room looking for general manager Howie Roseman, who was working out, and Kelce was in there with Roseman. The GM quickly introduced McMahon to Kelce.

    Ed Kracz/Eagles Today

Already, there are comparisons that McMahon could become Kelce’s replacement, though Cam Jurgens appears to have that position locked down at the moment. McMahon was taken in the sixth round, with pick No. 190. Kelce also came in the sixth round back in 2011, No. 191 overall.

“That was a pretty crazy moment because I watched him since I was little playing football,” said McMahon., who grew up in Savannah, Ga., and went to North Carolina State. “He’s the best center to ever do it. Just to meet him and have him around this building to be able to pick his brain every once in a while will just be an amazing experience.”

Kelce said to McMahon upon meeting him, “Undersized center?”

    Undersized indeed.

McMahon is 6-3, 299 pounds. Kelce entered the league at 6-3, 280, and retired after 13 years in Philly at 6-3, 295.

The two talked football and Kelce gave him a quick tutorial in defensive linemen McMahon will have to concern himself with no. He also told him to stay in the weight room.

“(He said) you can put good weight on you with the frame of your body there’s places to put weight on,” said McMahon. “Good weight and muscle. He wished me good luck. Like I said it was pretty surreal meeting him. He said he hopes to be able to help me out in any ways he can, so that will be pretty cool.”

Kelce gave McMahon his phone number and told him to reach out whenever he had a question.

McMahon, though, doesn’t want to make a habit of that.

“I don’t wanna bug him,” he said. “I’d do it every day if I could but he’s got his own stuff going around. Luckily, he gave me his number so if I ever have a question or anything I might just hit him up. If he doesn’t reply, because I know he has a lot of stuff going on, but hopefully he will eventually. But as much as I can without bugging him for sure.”

Who knows, if McMahon can develop quickly enough, maybe he will start at center and Jurgens stays at right guard?

Kelce was drafted and was plugged into the starting lineup immediately, though he had o-line coach Howard Mudd in his corner.

Perhaps Jeff Stoutland will be in McMahon’s corner.

“He’s awesome,” said McMahon about his new line coach. “He’s got a lot of fire behind him and I love that in an offensive line coach, and just the knowledge he brings to the game.

“I already learned so much on just the few Zoom calls and now in-person meetings I’ve had with him, just the amount of knowledge he’s already brought out and made my game better just the first few days I’ve met with him.”

  • Jason Kelce gives perfect description for Saints’ first-round pick Taliese Fuaga after draft

Jason Kelce gives perfect description for Saints’ first-round pick Taliese Fuaga after draft

Future HOF OL Jason Kelce gave an awesome description of Fuaga.

Speaking on his podcast New Heights with his brother Travis Kelce, former Eagles star center Jason Kelce — who retired after the 2023 season — went off on an unprompted rant about one of his favorite players in the recent NFL draft. That player was Taliese Fuaga, whom the Saints selected No. 14 overall out of Oregon State. — Jeff Nowak
Jason Kelce gives perfect description for Saints' first-round pick Taliese Fuaga after draft

It’s clear that Kelce was excited about Fuaga. He thinks he’s a gritty blocker that plays with fire. That shows up on film, too.

“There’s like, some guys that even when they’re playing the highlight on draft day, you can be like, ‘oh, yea”… There was a tackle that got picked early out of Oregon State and I saw one pass set and I was like, ‘yep, oh yea.’ And then I saw him just completely demoralizing people after that, and I was like, ‘god****, this dude is a f****** beast. Taliese Fuaga, holy s***… for some reason he was one guy where I had watched zero tape and I only saw the highlight tapes on draft day and I was like, damn, I like the way that pass set looks, I like the way he’s redirecting, I like the way he’s finishing, I mean, very limited sample size, but I feel pretty confident, that’s dude is going to be beast. I’m going on record right now.”” — Kelce

Of course, the language is filled with emotion from Kelce. That’s just how he shows passion, and he knows plenty about OL play.

The former Eagles offensive lineman was a seven-time Pro Bowler and six-time All-Pro. He will go into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

For Fuaga, this praise is extremely impressive.

  • Jason Kelce to bartend in Sea Isle for Eagles Autism Foundation

Jason Kelce to bartend in Sea Isle for Eagles Autism Foundation

    By DONALD WITTKOWSKI

Sea Isle City’s most famous part-time bartender will be returning this summer to pour some drinks, entertain his fans and raise money for autism awareness.

For the fourth year in a row, the now-retired Jason Kelce will appear at the Ocean Drive bar and sister property O’Donnell’s Pour House on Landis Avenue to play the role of celebrity bartender while headlining a fundraiser that benefits the Eagles Autism Foundation.

Based on the turnout in previous years, hundreds of fans are expected to pack the Pour House’s outdoor Paddy’s Green dining area and the Sandbar and Grill next door at the Ocean Drive for Kelce’s appearance on Wednesday, June 26.

Doors will open at 4 p.m. at the Ocean Drive and Pour House. The event runs through 8 p.m. Tickets will be $10 each and available at the door. Proceeds will benefit the Eagles Autism Foundation.

A limited number of VIP tickets will be sold by the foundation for photos with Kelce and early entry to the event starting at 3 p.m.

Kelce, the Eagles All-Pro and Pro-Bowl center, announced his retirement from the NFL in March to close out a 13-year career. The national media reported in April that he will join “Monday Night Countdown,” the pregame show for ESPN’s “Monday Night Football.”

Kelce and his wife, Kylie, own a summer vacation home in Sea Isle. Kelce is the town’s most famous part-time bartender. He will be serving drinks again on June 26 in his role as celebrity bartender during the fundraiser.

The event not only benefits the Eagles Autism Foundation, but also creates an economic boost for Sea Isle’s downtown business district by drawing customers to the bars, restaurants and retail shops.

“It’s such a big event. The whole town loves it,” said Kathy Larkin, general manager of the Ocean Drive and O’Donnell’s Pour House. “Everyone wants to be a part of it. It’s really a great thing for the whole town, not just us.”

Larkin said she has people calling her for months wanting to know when the fundraising event will be held so that they can schedule their vacations at the same time in Sea Isle.

The event has become increasingly popular because Kelce brings along some of the current and former Eagles. Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham, Landon Dickerson, Dallas Goedert, Jake Elliot, Connor Barwin, Trent Cole and Todd Herremans were among the current and former players who showed up in 2023.

Also stopping by in 2023 was Travis Kelce, Jason’s brother and All-Pro and Pro-Bowl tight end with the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. Travis Kelce has been in the national and international spotlight in recent months because of his relationship with pop music superstar Taylor Swift.
The line of fans waiting to enter the 2023 fundraiser at O’Donnell’s Pour House wraps around the block.
Larkin said current and former Eagles are expected to take part in the fundraiser on June 26, but she is not yet sure which ones. She also didn’t know whether Travis Kelce would be there.

“They are bringing even more guys. They said a bunch of guys from last year are coming back and some will be new guys,” Larkin said of this year’s lineup of current and former players.

Larkin was among a group of local officials who were part of a planning meeting Tuesday with Kylie Kelce and Ryan Hammond, executive director of the Eagles Autism Foundation.

Other related events are expected in Sea Isle the same weekend as the Eagles Autism Foundation fundraiser. Details will be announced later.

According to media reports, last year’s event in Sea Isle raised more than $375,000 for the foundation. Altogether, the foundation’s Eagles Autism Challenge has raised more than $25 million in six years for autism research and care programs, according to the organization’s website.

Kelce was elated last year that so many fans turned out in Sea Isle to help him raise money for his “Team 62” charity, which is part of the Eagles Autism Challenge.

“It’s been incredible. The last three years have been a whirlwind,” Kelce said in an interview with SeaIsleNews.com during the 2023 event. “This community supports any type of charitable benefit like no other. Considering my first time ever stepping foot in Sea Isle, I found it’s a very community-driven island and it’s a very family-driven island.”
Store manager Anthony Edwardi and Mike’s Seafood owner Mike Monichetti display a sign in the front window of the Sea Isle restaurant paying tribute to Jason Kelce after he announced his retirement.

  • Saints rookie Taliese Fuaga has a big fan in 7-time Pro Bowler Jason Kelce

Saints rookie Taliese Fuaga has a big fan in 7-time Pro Bowler Jason Kelce

They say it takes one to know one, so an endorsement from a seven-time Pro Bowler is worth noting. Longtime Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce only needed a single rep to believe the New Orleans Saints got a special player in Taliese Fuaga, their first round pick in the 2024 draft.

“There’s guys that even when they’re playing the highlights on draft day, you’re like, ‘Oh, yeah,’” Kelce recounted on the New Heights podcast with his brother Travis Kelce. “There was one tackle that got picked early out of Oregon State. I saw like one pass set, I’m like, ‘Yep. Oh yeah.’”

Fuaga put up some impressive game tape during his career at Oregon State, lining up at right tackle against some talented opponents like Laiatu Latu (who was drafted immediately after him by the Indianapolis Colts). And the more Kelce saw of that, the more he liked.

“And then I saw him just completely demoralizing people after that. I’m like this dude is a (expletive) beast. Taliese Fuaga. Holy (expletive). Do you see like the balance, they way his hips open up?” He could have kept going, but his brother Travis steered the conversation back to other prospects.

Pro Football Focus charting found that Fuaga didn’t allow a sack in three years at Oregon State, totaling 734 snaps in pass protection. He only yielded five quarterback hits and 23 pressures in total during that time. But the Saints didn’t draft him just because of his clean hands. His rare athleticism, agility, and movement skills for an offensive lineman stood out, and they’re hoping he can bring that same dominance to Klint Kubiak’s offense in 2024. If all goes as hoped, maybe he can compare Pro Bowls with Kelce some day.

Watch: Taylor Swift Gifts Travis Kelce a ‘Limited-Edition’ Mustang Worth $45M to Celebrate AFC Championship Win

Get ready for the 2024 Super Bowl, Swifties, because Taylor Swift’s boyfriend (aka Travis Kelce) and the Kansas City Chiefs just secured their spot in next month’s big game.

On Sunday, the Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens 17-10 during the NFL’s AFC Championship, and to celebrate their victory, Swift made her way down from the stands to the field at M&T Bank Stadium to congratulate Kelce with a kiss. The couple, surrounded by cameras and Kelce’s teammates, were spotted with their arms wrapped around each other as they leaned in for a quick smooch.

At one point, Taylor realized they were being recorded and put her hand up for privacy, showing off her glittery pink manicure and a smattering of rings. On the field, she took off her black Reputation-coded blazer and wore just her red crewneck sweater that was a few shades lighter than her lipstick.

According to People, Kelce quoted the Beastie Boys while expressing excitement over his team’s win, telling Cheifs’ family and friends, “You’ve got to fight / for your right / to party” — the same lyrics he repeated after winning the 2023 Super Bowl.

Kelce was undoubtedly an integral part of the Chief’s success tonight, as he scored the first touchdown of the game and caught 11 passes. He also set an NFL record for postseason catches with 152, breaking Jerry Rice’s mark.

  • Jason and Travis Kelce praise Jayden Daniels and the Commanders

Jason and Travis Kelce praise Jayden Daniels and the Commanders

Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce and his older brother, the recently-retired Jason Kelce, are fans of what the Washington Commanders have done this offseason.

On the most recent episode of “New Heights” with the Kelces, the brothers discussed the 2024 NFL draft, specifically the No. 1 overall pick, Caleb Williams. Williams went No. 1 overall to the Chicago Bears and Travis Kelce discussed the comparisons to his teammate, Patrick Mahomes.

While Kelce sees the comparisons, he thinks another rookie is more NFL-ready.

“I think Jayden Daniels is a little bit more, uh, I want to say NFL-ready,” Travis Kelce said. “But I think I’ve seen him make more on-time throw throws than I have Caleb. Caleb, you kind of get that back-yard ball type of deal. I think Jayden actually showed pocket poise and slinging that around a little bit more from the pocket.”

What did Jason Kelce think of the Commanders?

“I am excited to watch; I hate that it’s in our conference, but the Commanders they’ve made a lot of offseason additions,” Jason Kelce said. “They’re under new ownership, and they’ve clearly been signing veteran players to try and fix, I think, some of the, it just feels like the team has been off. It doesn’t feel like it is any one person or coach’s fault. It just feels like they need a new fresh start. They brought in a lot of veteran talent, there’s a ton of playmakers, it feels like over there. And Jayden Daniels will get to jump aboard. I think they’ve had a really good offseason, and I’m not just saying that.”

Jason Kelce spent his entire career with the Eagles, playing Washington twice per season, and now he is in the media. To hear that coming from him is a positive. No one would have better insight from an opposing perspective than Kelce and he, too, is encouraged by Washington’s future.

Here’s the full episode of “New Heights,” and you can hear the Washington and Daniels talk around the 46:00 mark.

Travis Kelce is forced to move his New Heights live show INDOORS – as Kylie Kelce jokes Jason is to blame for not seeing thunderstorms are scheduled to hit Ohio on Thursday night!

Travis and Jason Kelce have been forced to move Thursday night’s New Heights live show indoors, citing safety concerns due to thunderstorms scheduled to hit Ohio.

The NFL brothers had to make the announcement on Wednesday afternoon but very quickly made a joke out of a less-than-ideal late change, with a little bit of help from Jason’s wife Kylie.

In a statement posted on the New Heights social media channel, the Kelce brothers joked that ‘the intern who forgot to check the weather app has been reassinged.’

Kylie Kelce commented underneath the post: ‘Plot twist… Jason Kelce is the intern.’

The New Heights account replied to Kylie saying that Jason must now get the new cat she has repeatedly said that she wants as punishment – Jason has made no secret that he does not want a cat.

The Kelce brothers are hosting their live show on Thursday night in Cincinnati, Ohio

The show will see Travis and Jason take their hugely successful podcast in front of a live audience of thousands in their home state on Thursday night.

It was initially planned to be held at Nippert Stadium but now is in the indoor Fifth Third Arena, with doors opening from 5pm for fans who have bought a ticket.

Travis and Jason have recruited two main stars from the Cincinnati Bengals in quarterback Joe Burrow and offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr for the show.

The podcast was propelled to new levels of popularity during the last NFL season when it emerged Kansas City Chiefs star Travis was dating Taylor Swift.

For the most part, Kelce has kept his cards close to his chest on life dating the world’s most famous person but isn’t adverse to occasional updates – prompting thousands of Swifties to tune in on what is primarily a show about football.

It would be a huge surprise if Swift was to make an appearance on Thursday night but the singer is on a short break between her massively successful Eras Tour dates, which resume at the beginning of May in Europe.

It’s the affectionate family nickname that tells the world he’s one of his brother’s biggest fans.

Seen in these exclusive pictures obtained by DailyMail.com Jason Kelce, 36, stepped off a private jet in Buffalo early Sunday afternoon wearing a bright yellow T-shirt with a cartoon figure of his little brother and the words, ‘Travis Kelce Big Yeti,’ ahead of the AFC Divisional playoff against the Bills.

Hard to imagine a more significant day for Kansas City or the Kelce family, aside from Super Bowl LVII, which Jason’s Eagles lost to Travis’ Chiefs.

The meeting on the field will decide whether the Chiefs advance to the AFC Championship in Baltimore next weekend or if their season will come to an end on Sunday.

Meanwhile, up in the VIP boxes Taylor Swift, 34, is expected take another step closer to the Kelce clan as she meets her NFL stud’s big brother and his wife Kylie Kelce for the first time today.

Jason, Kylie and family patriarch Ed – wearing bright red Chief’s starter jacket and a jersey bearing his younger son’s No. 87 – all trudged across the snowy airfield to a waiting sprinter van as the countdown to the AFC Divisional game began in earnest.

Travis, 34, and the rest of his team touched down in New York state 3:30pm on Saturday. The tight end cut a striking figure in mustard yellow suit, striped shirt, beanie hat and shades.

The bold look drew some good-natured ribbing from Jason who joked, ‘Looks like he’s auditioning for a new Wes Anderson film.’

If Travis looked particularly stone-faced yesterday it was perhaps little wonder.

Shortly before taking off from Kansas City he learned the NYPD arrested a suspected stalker allegedly trying to get into Swift’s Tribeca apartment earlier in the day.

Jason, of course, has a free weekend after the Eagles were eliminated from the postseason by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday. It has plunged Jason’s long-term football future into doubt, with reports on Tuesday morning emerging that he told the Eagles locker room that he is retiring.

But since then, Jason has stayed coy over what the future holds and Travis even suggested on Friday that his big brother could play on.

No timeline has been given as to when Jason expects to announce his football future.

The Kelce brothers have an extremely close relationship and Travis suggested Jason might keep playing when he spoke at a Chiefs press conference ahead of the Bills game.

‘It came out that he retired and he didn’t really say any of that,’ Travis Kelce said Friday. ‘The end of that game, I think everyone kind of felt for him knowing that he has been thinking about it a lot over the past couple years.’

‘The [Amazon] documentary shows that. You don’t need to go around and ask anybody,’ Travis continued. ‘It’s been cool to see everybody appreciate who he’s been over the years this past week.’

‘I think the big guys still got some football left if he wants it,’ Kelce concluded
