“We’re seeing the fashion, the family photos, all the things,” ‘Got It from My Momma’ podcast host Jennifer Vickery Smith said in the introduction for the video

Patrick Mahomes’ 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥hood home comes with a few surprises — including a Travis Kelce mannequin.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback’s mother, Randi Mahomes, 48, gave Jennifer Vickery Smith from the Got It from My Momma podcast a tour of her home and showed off the portraits and items that were special to the football star.

“We’re seeing the fashion, the family photos, all the things,” Smith said in the TikTok video.

The video started off with Randi showing off a wall near the home’s entrance, which featured one of Patrick’s black football jerseys from 2017 encased in a frame and a photo of the quarterback in his Texas Tech uniform for a cover shoot of Texas Football magazine.

They then moved down the hall to show a boxing mannequin, which Randi dubbed “Travis.” The Century Bob mannequin was covered in a black Super Bowl hat and a gray jersey with Travis’ number, 87.

“He gave this to my daughter… He signed it, ‘To Mia,’ ” Randi noted, adding that the shirt was from a Pro Bowl practice.

“It was so sweet, and so, that’s kind of just been here,” Randi said. “My girlfriends love it. They’re like can we — I’m like, ‘Get away from Mia’s shirt.’ ”

“He scared me a little when I walked through the door, I’m not gonna lie,” Smith said of the mannequin, to which Randi responded, “He scares everybody.”

The pair then walked through a door to the left and turned down another corridor, which had frames showing side profiles of Patrick and his 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren. They walked further down and Randi showed cutouts of her 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren, which she said she used to “make when they were little.”

She then showed a portrait of Patrick and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, holding their two 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren — Patrick “Bronze” Mahomes III, 14 months, and daughter Sterling Skye, 2. Another shot showed Patrick and his family along with Brittany on a couch while another wall had two portraits of Patrick when he was a little boy and two portraits of his brother, Jackson.

“This is his 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥hood room,” Randi said while entering a mostly empty room with a black leather couch and a TV. “This is Mia’s game room now,” she added. On the wall hung a photo of Patrick on one side and a large photo of Kobe Bryant on the other.

The room also featured a rack of multi-colored jerseys that Mia has collected.

One of the items Randi showed was a football that her daughter Mia had signed by Pro Bowl players. “Why isn’t this in a glass case?,” Smith said, to which Randi responded, “I just let her play with it.”

Later in the video, she showed a closet, which she said “holds all the goods.”

“It’s a closet full of red,” Smith, before Randi pulled out a bedazzled Kansas City Chiefs red football that she said she got from a Fanatics party at the Super Bowl last year. She said she and Gayle King were “going back and forth” on which one to get.

“I was like I need this. I’ll take it on the field after we win, and she’s like ‘I want it.’ Guess who got it,’ ” Randi said. “It even has Patrick’s signature.”

Next, she pulled out Patrick’s letterman jacket, which was embroidered with his name written on the back and several state patches around it. “I always wanna wear it, like, to something,” she said, before noting that it’s too big and too heavy for her to put on.

“Well that was fun,” Smith captioned the TikTok video, adding the hashtags “house tour,” “celebrity homes” and “Patrick Mahomes.”

Jimmy Butler’s cockiness knows no bounds after Heat elimination: If I played, the Celtics would be home

Jimmy Butler has shown his anger at the Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics by declaring that he would have spared his Florida franchise’s NBA Playoff loss if he had participated in the series.

Celtics - The official site of the NBA for the latest NBA Scores, Stats & News. | NBA.com

The 34-year-old small forward, nicknamed “Jimmy Buckets” because of his nickname, has been the Heat’s standout player since he joined them in 2019. He has also gone on to become a two-time NBA All-standout during his time in Miami.

However, he was unable to play in the NBA Playoffs because of a meniscus cruciate ligament injury that ended his season. This meant that he was practically unable to sprint or jump in order to make a basket.

It capped off an incredible 2023 in which he averaged 20.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, and five assists per game, demonstrating his capacity to lead his team to victory on the court. When his frustrations boiled out, he reaffirmed this in an intense interview.

Jimmy Butler Thinks Miami Heat Would Have Defeated New York Knicks, Boston Celtics In Playoffs

“If I was playing, Boston would be at home,” said Butler as per ClutchPoints.com. “New York damn sure would be f**king at home.”

Butler continued by insulting Tom Thibodeau, the team’s manager and a former teammate of Butler’s at the Chicago Bulls, as well as Josh Hart, the power forward for the New York Knicks.

    Butler and others

The outburst follows the Celtics’ 118-84 victory over the Heat at the TD Garden in Massachusetts, which gave them the series’ fourth and final victory and sent them to the second round of the NBA Playoffs.

The final three games of the Heat’s winning streak were losses, with the following standings: Heat win Game Two 111-101, Celtics win Games Three, Four, and Five 104-84, 102-88, and 118-84; Celtics win Game One 114-94. That being said, it is evident that the offense lacked significantly in Butler’s absence.

Next up for the Celtics is who?The Celtics are now two series away from the NBA Finals and their first championship since 2008—and only their second since 1986—as they advance to the Conference Semifinals.

They won the Eastern Conference after finishing the regular season with a 64-18/.780 record, and their next challenger will be either the Orlando Magic or the Cleveland Cavaliers, who wrap up their series on May 5 at 13:00 ET.

With a victory over the Magic in Game 7 on Sunday afternoon in Cleveland, the Cavaliers punched their ticket to the next round. Since winning Game 5 of their series against the Miami Heat in a landslide on Wednesday night, Boston has been waiting.

TD Garden will host Game 1 of the Celtics vs. Cavaliers on Tuesday night.

Cavaliers at Celtics during the regular season

Throughout the regular season, the home team prevailed in all three meetings between the Celtics and the Cavaliers, winning two of them.

Cavaliers vs. Celtics: Boston should be able to exploit Cleveland's flaws

In mid-December, the teams traveled to Boston for two games over the course of three nights, with the Celtics winning both games. In the first game, all five Boston starters scored in double digits, with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown leading the way with 25 points apiece. Both teams had good three-point shooting percentages (40.9 percent for Boston and 42.2 percent for Cleveland). The Celtics’ offensive strategy that night included more than just the three-ball, as Tatum and Brown each reached the free-throw line nine times. Cleveland only had nine free throws and six makes in the charity stripe, while Boston went an incredible 26 for 26.

With 21 points, 10 rebounds, and two blocks in that game, Kristaps Porzingis was a major asset for Boston. A few nights later, Tatum led the C’s to a 116-107 victory with a team-high 27 points. He scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds. Donovan Mitchell of Cleveland scored the most points (30) despite the team’s defeat.

First loss in a month: 10 takeaways from Celtics/Cavs - CelticsBlog

On March 5 at the Rocket Mortgage Field House, Cleveland defeated Boston for the only time, and it was a significant victory for the Cavaliers. Arriving on an 11-game winning streak and fresh off a 53-point victory over the Warriors, the Cavaliers decisively ended the Celtics’ winning run by rallying from a 22-point deficit in the fourth quarter.

That night, Dean Wade—not Dwyane Wade—scored 20 points with five three-pointers in the fourth quarter to lead the Cavaliers to an incredible victory. Wade outscored the Celtics on his own. Despite letting up in the last quarter and only scoring 17 points, the Celtics still had a chance to win.

As time ran out and Tatum gained possession of the ball, he looked to foul Darius Garland while he was trying to make a game-winning (you guessed it) fadeaway. However, the Cavs contested the call, and referees overturned it after determining that Tatum’s leg, not Garland’s, was what made contact.

Despite Mitchell not playing and Evan Mobley departing the game early due to an ankle injury, the Cavaliers prevailed, 105-104.

Stats from the Celtics-Cavaliers regular season

With an average of 26 points per game during the regular season, Tatum spearheaded the Celtics’ offensive attack against the Cavaliers. However, he wasn’t particularly effective versus Cleveland, hitting only 35.7 percent from three and 38.7 percent overall. To score those 26 points in a game, he need 20.7 shot attempts.

NBA on TNT on X: "Cavs vs. Celtics in the Second Round Who you got advancing?! https://t.co/spBsAzRgFi" / X

Against the Cavs, Brown scored 22.7 points per game during the regular season, which put him second on the Celtics, but he was far more effective as he connected on 49.1 percent of his attempts. Brown’s three-ball was not as effective; he hit it at a pace of only 35.3 percent.

However, the Boston backcourt proved unstoppable from downtown against the Cavaliers, as Derrick White made 50% of his three-pointers and Jrue Holiday connected on 42.9 percent of his long-range attempts. After scoring 63 points in the previous two games versus Miami and shooting 57.7 percent for the series, White is currently on fire.

The Celtics will obviously be without Porzingis for this series, which means they will be depleted of manpower up front against a very skilled Cleveland frontcourt. In his three games against the Cavs, he averaged 21 points and eight rebounds, but now it will be up to Al Horford to step up in the paint.

During the regular season, the Celtics averaged 120.6 points per game; but, in their three games versus the Cavaliers, they only managed 113.3.

NBA playoffs: Cavaliers top Magic in Game 7, will face Celtics

In his two games versus Boston, Mitchell was quite effective, averaging 30 points on 50% shooting. With 20.7 points and 7.0 assists per game, Garland was a menace, and Caris LeVert is a potent scorer who averaged 15.7 points on 48.6 percent shooting from the field and 40 percent from three-point range in his three games versus Boston.

Just to let Boston supporters know, Max Strus, who was extremely bothersome against them during his two previous postseasons as a member of the Heat, will now be trying to do the same thing as a Cavalier.

By no means will Boston have an easy series, especially without Porzingis and up against a very stingy Cleveland defense. Mitchell also has the ability to take over a game at any time. It will be exciting to see the backcourt competition, especially if Joe Mazzulla puts Holiday in the game.

However, the Celtics had a few nights off before this match began and were confined on Wednesday night. With that, they should be able to defeat the Cavs in five or six games and make it to the Eastern Conference Finals for the third consecutive year.

Celtics comeback win over Cavaliers breeds playoff-like atmosphere - CelticsBlog

Cavaliers against. Celtics postseason pastAlthough the Cavaliers have won the last three encounters, the Celtics and Cavaliers have split their previous eight postseason games: a first-round sweep in the Eastern Conference Finals in 2017 and 2018, as well as in 2015. When these two teams last faced off, Brown was in his second NBA season and Tatum was a rookie. The Celtics narrowly missed making it to the NBA Finals. (Where the Warriors would have smoked them.)

In those three prior meetings, the Cavaliers did have a player by the name of LeBron, and it definitely helped them win.

In the postseason, the Cavaliers were defeated by the Celtics in 1976, 1985, 2008, and 2010. Every time Boston defeated the Cavaliers in the postseason, they advanced to the NBA Finals and took home titles in 1976 and 2008.

  • Cincinnati Bengals reportedly gave Tee Higgins a low-ball offer proposing to pay him under $20 million per year

Cincinnati Bengals reportedly gave Tee Higgins a low-ball offer proposing to pay him under $20 million per year

Higgins heads into the 2024-25 season placed on the franchise tag.

The Cincinnati Bengals got a year to hold off contract talks with their wide receiver Tee Higgins, who in a surprise move opted to accept the franchise tag being levied on him and the $21 million that comes with it. The negotiations between the two sides had gone on for a long time with Higgins demanding a long-term contract and upon their failure to make that happen, he wanted a trade.

A report from Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer has now revealed that the Cincinnati Bengals offered low-ball deals to Tee Higgins. The team’s offerings to the wideout never touched the $20 million range and as a result, his agent did not bother discussing the subject of guaranteed money in the contract. It has been a while since negotiations last took place.

The franchise tag is not a solution either, soon enough, the negotiations between the two sides will start yet again and this time, the Bengals will not have the safety net of the tag to fall back upon. The starting point as Higgins goes to the negotiating table will be the $21.8 million figure.

Cincinnati Bengals reportedly gave Tee Higgins a low-ball offer proposing to pay him under $20 million per year

Tee Higgins has expressed his intention to continue playing for the Cincinnati Bengals

Currently, over 18 wideouts in the NFL earn $20 million per year, Tee Higgins is on the lookout for a contract similar to Michael Pittman, who inked a three-year, $70 million deal with an average of $23.33 million per year. He is hoping to earn $21-25 million per year, a figure that the Bengals remain reluctant to offer him as they will need to pay Ja’Marr Chase as well after the 2025 season.

Head Coach Zac Taylor remains optimistic about having Tee Higgins onboard for this year.

We think he's our best chance to help us win a Super Bowl. I've enjoyed working with Tee the last four years. I expect this year to be no different.

    Zac Taylor said

The outcome of the Bengals’ season this year will also have a significant impact on the contract negotiations of Higgins. The wideout has made it clear that he would like to continue playing for the Bengals.

If the team can successfully return to the Super Bowl, then the odds of Higgins staying back while expressing willingness to take a pay cut could increase. The 25-year-old wideout played 12 games last season catching 42 passes for a total of 656 yards and five touchdowns, he was unable to stay healthy throughout the season as a fractured rib kept him out of the final four games of the regular season.

Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker says family tradition is a big reason why he got into the game of basketball

Devin Booker has explained why he got into the game of basketball. Before the Phoenix Suns’ contest against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, Booker held a press conference to take some hard-hitting questions from kids with Lights Camera Discover.

Lights Camera Discover is a non-profit organization that runs workshops for underserved youth to learn filmmaking and more.

One of the questions that were directed at the 25-year-old during the interaction was:

“Why did you want to play basketball?”

Devin Booker answered the question with utmost sincerity. He began with a rhetorical response, saying:

“Why did I want to play basketball?”

Booker then went on to give a patient explanation as to why he got into the game. He said:

“It’s a family tradition for me. It started, you know my grandfather, he played semi-pro basketball in Mississippi. Then moved on to the next generation, my father… played for a short time in the NBA. Most of his career was overseas. And I just followed suit. Something that gives me a feeling like no other thing does for me. So basketball is my happy place.”

Devin Booker surprises kids with $100,000 check

Following the media interaction, Devin Booker had a big surprise for the children. As part of his charitable Starting Five initiative, the Phoenix Suns star gave the kids of Lights Camera Discover an early Christmas present. He handed out some new camera equipment to the kids and a $100,000 check as his latest Starting Five act.

Devin Booker’s Starting Five aims to give out five $100,000 grants each year to a non-profit organization. That sum totals to USD 2.5 million over a period of five years.

Booker hasn’t played for the Phoenix Suns in their last three games, including their latest outing against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night. He has missed time because of a left hamstring injury.

Booker is averaging 23.2 ppg for the Suns, who just recently completed a franchise-best 18-game winning streak.

The Phoenix Suns finished second-best to the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2021 NBA Finals. However, Devin Booker and the rest of the Suns are determined to get the team to do better in the 2021-22 season. Booker is expected to return to play for Phoenix in the month of December itself.

Jimmy Kimmel Jokes Travis Kelce Is ‘Still’ Taylor Swift’s ‘Broke Boyfriend’ Despite $34 Million Chiefs Contract

The comedian cracked a few jokes about the NFL player’s pockets during a recent broadcast.

Travis Kelce may have a jaw-dropping new salary, but he’s still got a ways to go to impress Jimmy Kimmel.

On the April 30 episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the late-night talk show host, 56, weighed in on the athlete’s recent two-year contract extension deal in the midst of dating Taylor Swift.

“Congratulations to Travis Kelce,” Kimmel began. “Travis Kelce signed a two-year contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs. He is now the highest-paid tight end in the NFL.”

However, the comedian seems to think that this is overshadowed by the pro baller, 34, dating the pop star, also 34.

Kimmel joked that Swift would consider Kelce’s contract amount to be “gum money.”

“Can you imagine being in a relationship where you make $34 million and you’re still the broke boyfriend?” Kimmel said during his show.

“Another weird thing about dating Taylor Swift is you can be one of the great players of all time, and this is the reaction you get to your contract extension,” Kimmel said.

Kimmel then showed a screenshot of a selfie video of Kelce that the Chiefs shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) after the big news. The photo also showed comments left by fans.

“His eyes full of tears [crying emoji] this baby,” one user wrote.

Another said, “he’s so babygirl.” As Kimmel continued to read the comments, he also pointed out one that called Kelce “pookiest pookie.”
