Los Angeles Lakers easily lost the first 3 games to the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs. Thought they had to accept an early “vacation” (Nuggets have defeated the Lakers 11 times continuously since the 2022-23 season ), but LeBron James and his teammates did not give up.

In game 4, James played very impressively with 30 points, Anthony Davis also contributed 25 points and 23 rebounds, helping the Lakers end their losing streak against the Nuggets. Finally, they also found the answer to counter MVP Nikola Jokic to get victory.

“When we were pushed into a corner, we won and gave ourselves a chance to survive,” James said after Los Angeles won and narrowed the gap.

This situation reminds fans of the legendary LeBron James 3-1 meme, originating from the 2016 NBA finals.

What is the LeBron James 3-1 meme? Explaining the meaning of the LeBron James 3-1 meme

The LeBron James 3-1 meme is a photo of the NBA legend wearing black sunglasses and white headphones. This photo comes from an NBA TV broadcast, capturing the moment James gathered before game 5 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors in the 2016 NBA Finals – where James’s Cavaliers were leading 3-1 against the Warriors.

The graphics on NBA TV also display the words “No team has ever come back from a deficit in the NBA Finals after being down 3-1 (0-32)”. This means Cleveland needs to create a miracle. if they want to win the 2016 NBA championship ring, something that 32 other teams in a similar situation have never done before.

Why did the LeBron James 3-1 meme become famous?

Perhaps, no one will remember the above photo if the Cavaliers lose. However, LeBron James had a sweet answer for NBA TV, making the photo a phenomenon on social networks.

In game 5, Cleveland took advantage of the Warriors’ absence of star Draymond Green, who had to serve a one-game suspension. James and Kyrie Irving became the first couple to score 40 points in the same match in NBA finals history, thereby shortening the score to 2-3.

Returning home for game 6, the Cavaliers once again won, with another 41-point performance from “King James”. And Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals has gone down in NBA history as one of the most classic finals.

LeBron’s iconic block against Andre Iguodala has gone down in legend, helping the Cavaliers complete the feat in the decisive match. The Cleveland Cavaliers entered NBA Finals history by being the first team to win the final championship despite being behind 3-1.

LeBron James overcame all doubts from NBA TV to create a fairy tale at the 2016 NBA finals. And that’s how the photo became a legendary famous “meme” on the internet.

NBA Rumors: Lakers Eye Former Bucks Coach Mike Budenholzer as Potential Target. ‎

Former Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer with a Los Angeles Lakers logo

With the ousting of Darvin Ham and his entire coaching staff, the Los Angeles Lakers are on the prowl for a head coach, and early reports seem to indicate L.A. wants a coach with championship experience. So it is little surprise that former Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer has emerged as one of the top candidates for the job.

Budenholzer, who was fired following the Bucks’ shocking first-round exit last season, won an NBA Championship in Milwaukee in 2021, making him one of the relatively few coaches with a ring. That and his availability would seem to put him at the very top for vacant NBA head coaching positions this offseason, the Lakers’ included.

According to The Athletic’s Lakers beat reporter Jovan Buha, Budenholzer’s name has been mentioned in rumblings about Darvin Ham’s replacement.

“What is ahead? What does the future hold for the Los Angeles Lakers and their coaching search? I’ve already started to hear over a half dozen names,” Buha said. “The most common names that I’ve heard are Mike Budenholzer, who is considered the top coach on the market right now, though that could change depending on what happens with Ty Lue and the Clippers.”

Mike Budenholzer, Tyronn Lue, and JJ Redick mentioned as Lakers’ potential next head coach

Former Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer

While Mike Budenholzer is probably the most pragmatic option considering his championship experience, he does not appear to be the Lakers’ first choice for their head coaching vacancy. Tyronn Lue, the Los Angeles Clippers’ head coach, would appear to be at the top of the Lakers’ list.

Lue, like Budenholzer, has an NBA Championship to his name. He won his lone title in 2016 as part of the Cleveland Cavaliers, coaching LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love to the first and only championship in Cavs franchise history. That connection to James, who has repeatedly sung Lue’s praises, seems to be near the center of the Lakers’ potential pursuit of Lue.

“It is no secret that LeBron James loves Ty Lue, he is his favorite coach of all time, he continues to speak about Ty Lue with reverence,” Buha said. “If Ty Lue is let go by the Clippers, I’ve been told that the Lakers will have interest in Ty Lue. They courted him in 2019, it did not go well. They ended up settling on Frank Vogel, who was third choice, behind Ty Lue and Monty Williams.”

Lakers Rumors: Mike Budenholzer, Kenny Atkinson & More Join Tyronn Lue and JJ Redick As Head Coaching Candidates

In addition to Budenholzer and Lue, Buha mentioned that former Brooklyn Nets head coach and current Golden State Warriors assistant Kenny Atkinson, as well as JJ Redick, the former NBA player who has since become a television broadcaster and popular podcaster, could also be options for the Lakers’ next head coach. Redick, who played 15 seasons in the NBA, including four in Los Angeles with the Clippers, currently hosts the “Mind the Game” podcast with James and has recently been mentioned as one of the top candidates for the Charlotte Hornets’ head coaching vacancy.

Christian Wood Enjoys Debut Season with Lakers, Commits to Maintaining Health for 2024-25. ‎

With the 2023-24 season officially over, the Los Angeles Lakers will turn to the offseason where major changes are expected along the roster.

The Lakers wasted no time cleaning house as they fired head coach Darvin Ham and his coaching staff and will begin the search for a new head coach. Aside from Ham, there are several players on Los Angeles’ roster that are set to become free agents or have the ability to do so depending what they do with their player options.

Lakers' Christian Wood available but doesn't play in Game 4 win against Nuggets – Daily News

One such player is Christian Wood, who unfortunately was forced to miss the remainder of the regular season and the playoffs after undergoing a procedure on his knee. Wood played 50 games for the Lakers, mostly coming off the bench and seeing inconsistent minutes.

While it was a disappointing end to his season, Wood said he loved playing in his hometown and vowed to be healthier for the 2024-25 season, via his personal X account:

It’s always fun to see players get to come back home and play for the teams they rooted for growing up, and in Wood’s case it sounded like he got to live out his dream. He also sounded like he was leaning toward picking up his player option for the 2024-25 season, which is worth just over $3 million.

Because of his injury history and lack of rim protection and rebounding, Wood might be better off staying with L.A. anyway because they’ll need more big man depth behind Anthony Davis next season. The team will likely go out in search of a more traditional big man to help the defensive end, but Wood could slot in as a nice third option if the Lakers want more floor spacing and scoring.

Giannis and his family’s luxurious secret getaway: A haven of warmth and love

David Raya is the new Golden Glove winner of the Premier League after Jordan Pickford failed to keep a clean sheet for Everton on Friday. With two games remaining, Pickford already has 12 clean sheets, making Raya’s record already untouchable. In 29 league games this season, Raya has preserved 14 clean sheets for Arsenal. Right now, Raya is with Arsenal on loan from Brentford.

The Premier League awarded David Raya, the goalkeeper for Arsenal, the Golden Glove trophy when his record of 14 shutouts became unbreakable.
Raya has 14 clean sheets in 29 league outings for Arsenal this season.
His greatest rival, Jordan Pickford, was unable to keep Everton’s record spotless against Luton Town this evening, as his club ended up drawing 1-1.

With two games left for Everton and 12 clean sheets thus far, Pickford can only match Raya, who still has three games left for Arsenal.
Raya becomes the first goalkeeper to win the Golden Glove at Arsenal since Petr Cech done it in the 2015–16 season with 16 clean sheets while leading Arsenal to second place in the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta would feel vindicated considering his goaltender’s record of clean sheets this season. Arsenal’s manager came under fire after Raya, who signed a season-long loan from Brentford in August, replaced Aaron Ramsdale.

Damian Lillard is currently among the NBA’s top point guards. Lillard has earned Rookie of the Year and All-NBA team player seven times in addition to being a seven-time All-Star. In addition, Lillard is one of the greatest shooters in NBA history.

Damian Lillard Now Owns a Car Dealership in McMinnville

Lillard hasn’t yet cemented his legacy or taken home any NBA championships, though. As a result, earlier this year, the seven-time All-Star made headlines when he was moved to the Milwaukee Bucks as a part of a record three-team deal that also included the Phoenix Suns, Portland Trail Blazers, and Milwaukee Bucks.

Here Are The Cars In Damian Lillard's Stylish Collection

Lillard moved to Milwaukee to give himself a good shot to win an NBA title after teaming up with two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo and NBA champion Khris Middleton.

Ever wonder what kind of cars NBA star Damian Lillard drives, with all the recent buzz surrounding him? Thus, give up pondering. This article features Damian Lillard’s incredible $646K automobile collection.

Damian Lillard is an NBA Star and World-Class Songwriter - American Songwriter

Lillard was a good player for the Trail Blazers before to joining the Bucks. The All-NBA squad player did make a ton of money when he played for them. Lillard is making money from his budding music career in addition to his prosperous basketball career. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Lillard has a $100 million net worth. It should come as no surprise that Lillard, with his fortune, can afford to live a luxury lifestyle that includes owning a few expensive cars and opulent homes.

Lillard owns two Bentley cars, indicating that he is a big fan of the brand. Despite his passion for Bentleys, he still has one Cadillac Escalade in his garage. Naturally, Lillard’s wife Kay’la Hanson would enjoy either.

    4. Lamborghini Urus

One of the world’s fastest SUVs is the Lamborghini Urus. This occurs when a company that makes the most opulent supercars in the world places a wager on a family vehicle with five spacious doors, adequate ground clearance, and off-road potential. Although there is a clash of objectives in theory, in practice there is a lot of room for improvement.

Matte Grey Widebody Lamborghini Urus Rides On Massive 24-Inch Wheels | Carscoops

This is the only one in the showroom that can tow a trailer and carry more than two people. Although the price tag 250 thousand USD puts it out of reach for most of us normal people and its interior isn’t that special for such a large sum of money, but there’s currently no other SUV like the 2023 Urus .

    3. Cadillac Escalade

    .

    .

One cannot go wrong with the Cadillac Escalade when it comes to fuel-efficient, luxurious, and comfortable driving. The spacious car is among the longest in its class. At $76,295, the automobile is definitely worth adding to Lillard’s collection, as it’s an ideal vehicle for cruising through Portland’s streets or Milwaukee’s.

The Cadillac Escalade’s 6.2L VVT V8 engine, which generates 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, is no slouch. Furthermore, the Cadillac Escalade has a 10-speed automatic transmission that allows it to reach top speed of 130 mph. It also has a 0 to 60 mph acceleration time of only 6 seconds. Despite being the least expensive vehicle in Lillard’s garage, the seven-time All-Star most likely chose it out of necessity.

    2. Bentley Bentayga

    .

    1. Bentley Continental GT

    .

    .

Lillard was sure to purchase another Bentley to his collection, even though he already had one. Even though most of the cars in his garage are SUVs, the seven-time All-NBA team member made an exception for the Bentley Continental GT, which lives up to expectations.

At $307,225 at retail, the luxurious sedan is by far the most expensive car in Lillard’s collection.

With a 4.0L Twin-Turbocharged V8 engine that generates 626 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque, the Bentley Continental GT is powerful enough for an NBA player like as the most recent Milwaukee Buck. Like Lillard, the pricey car accelerates and speeds up without any problems.

From zero to sixty miles per hour, acceleration takes only 4.3 seconds. It can also reach a maximum speed of 208 miles per hour. Due to its perfect city driving characteristics, Lillard should have no trouble touring the city in style with the Bentley Continental GT.

Having said that, this is all the information we presently know about Damian Lillard’s incredible $646K car collection.

  • On the Field and Off: Jason Kelce’s Crucial Tips to Dodge Costly Mistakes for Rising Athletes

On the Field and Off: Jason Kelce’s Crucial Tips to Dodge Costly Mistakes for Rising Athletes

Lessons from a Veteran: Financial and Life Advice from Eagles Center Jason Kelce

Jason Kelce has been a mainstay on the Philadelphia Eagles offensive line since being drafted in the sixth round in 2011. Over his decade-long NFL career, the veteran center has established himself as a leader both on and off the field. At 34 years old and entering his 12th season, Kelce has seen and experienced just about everything the professional football world has to offer. His longevity and success make him a great source of wisdom for up-and-coming athletes just starting their careers. Here are some valuable lessons young players can learn from Kelce’s journey in the NFL.

    Prioritizing Passion over Paychecks

One of the biggest mistakes young athletes can make is focusing too heavily on the financial aspect of their sport from the beginning. While the money is certainly enticing, especially for those coming from more modest backgrounds, Kelce warns that an overemphasis on salaries and contracts can lead down a damaging path. “Early in my career, I saw some guys get wrapped up in contract negotiations and holdouts. They lost sight of why they were playing in the first place – because they loved the game,” recalls Kelce.

For Kelce, football was always his passion first and foremost. Even after making the NFL, he played with the same joy and enthusiasm as when he was a kid just starting out. “I never wanted to get to a point where I dreaded practicing or playing on Sundays. The money is great, don’t get me wrong, but it can’t be your sole motivation.” Kelce advises young players to focus on improving their skills and enjoying the sport during their early years before monetary compensation becomes a major factor.

“If you don’t truly love football, you won’t be able to sustain the grind of training and playing through injuries at this level. The passion is what will carry you through the low points and keep you going strong for a long career.” Kelce’s love for the game has undoubtedly contributed to his NFL longevity despite playing one of the most physically demanding positions on the field. While financial security is important, passion should remain the driving force for aspiring athletes according to Kelce.

    Prioritizing Health and Recovery

Another area Kelce emphasizes for younger players is taking care of their physical well-being, especially when it comes to injury prevention and recovery strategies. As a 12-year NFL veteran, Kelce’s body has endured immense wear and tear over the years from the punishing nature of his position. He’s learned valuable lessons the hard way about balancing workloads and allowing the body proper rest.

“When I was younger, I thought I was invincible and could push through anything. I’d try to play through minor injuries and not give myself enough time to fully heal.” Kelce looks back now and realizes how detrimental those habits were to his long-term health. “It’s so important for young guys to listen to their bodies and not try to be a hero all the time. Pushing too hard too soon often just leads to setbacks.”

Proper nutrition, sleep, hydration and strength/flexibility training are also major components of Kelce’s recovery regimen that he stresses to younger players. “Diet and lifestyle habits play a huge role in injury prevention and bouncing back quickly. Taking care of your body should be a daily priority, not just an afterthought.” With his advanced recovery strategies now, Kelce feels like he’s playing some of his best football in his 12th season at age 34. His advice could help younger players stay healthy and extend their careers.

Surrounding Yourself With a Positive Support System

Another area where Kelce has seen peers go wrong is in the company they keep off the field. “I’ve witnessed many guys get led down the wrong path because of negative influences around them. Whether it’s friends pulling them into bad situations or hanger-ons just looking to benefit from their status, it can really derail a career.”

Kelce makes it a point to keep close relationships with a small circle of trusted friends and family who want what’s best for him. “My wife and parents have always been my rocks who keep me grounded. And I try to keep other positive people in my inner circle who share my goals and values.”

He encourages younger players to be discerning about who they allow into their personal lives. “Surround yourself with people who support your dreams, make you a better person, and will give you honest advice – even if it’s not what you want to hear. You have to protect your career and reputation.” Kelce believes having the right support system is half the battle for young athletes navigating fame and fortune for the first time.

    Valuing Education Beyond Athletics

Another lesson Kelce emphasizes is not neglecting education in single-minded pursuit of athletic goals. “I’ve seen too many guys coast through school just to stay eligible without really applying themselves academically. But injuries and unexpected endings can happen at any time.”

Kelce credits his educational background at the University of Cincinnati for giving him options beyond football. “I majored in operations management, which taught me valuable life skills. Even if my NFL career ended tomorrow, I’d have a solid foundation to fall back on career-wise.”

For young athletes just starting college, Kelce’s advice is to treat education as seriously as athletics. “Get involved in campus activities outside of sports too. And don’t be afraid to challenge yourself academically – you’d be surprised at how those tough classes can help your mental game on the field.”

Kelce also recommends designating time for school even during offseasons and NFL careers. “Continuing your education should always be a priority. You never know when knowledge and qualifications outside of sports could come in handy.” His well-rounded approach has given Kelce peace of mind throughout his professional journey.

    Managing Finances Responsibly

One area where Kelce has seen many peers struggle is money management, especially for those signing big contracts in their early 20s for the first time. “Money was the last thing I thought about in college since I was just focused on football and school. Then I went from making nothing to a decent salary overnight in the NFL.”

Kelce admits he had to learn financial responsibility the hard way initially through some mistakes. “I bought too many things I didn’t need and didn’t have a real plan for my money. Thankfully I caught myself before it became a serious problem.” Now he emphasizes the importance of financial education for young athletes.

“Seek guidance from a professional adviser you trust from the beginning. Set up a budget, savings goals, and understand your contracts and taxes. Too many guys blow through their money quickly and have nothing to show for their careers.”

Kelce also recommends diversifying investments beyond just current earnings. “Make your money work for you through long-term investments so you’re set up after football too. Don’t rely solely on your NFL salary.” His prudent approach to finances now has Kelce well-positioned for life after his playing days are over.

    Leading by Example

Over a decade into his NFL tenure, Kelce has established himself as a leader both on his team and in the league through his professionalism, work ethic and community involvement. He hopes to pass on the wisdom gained from his experiences to the next generation of players.

“I try to lead by example in taking care of my body, holding myself accountable, and being a positive presence in the locker room. The veterans before me did the same for me.” Kelce also gives back through his charity work supporting youth sports and education initiatives.

“I want young guys to see that being a pro is about more than just what you do on the field. It’s an opportunity to positively impact lives both in and outside of the game.” With his selfless attitude and long career still going strong, Kelce is sure to continue mentoring up-and-coming players for years to come. His guidance can help them avoid pitfalls and achieve sustained success in football and beyond.

In closing, Jason Kelce has certainly seen it all over a remarkable NFL tenure. His lessons on prioritizing passion over pay, valuing health, education and support systems, and developing financial responsibility could help steer the next generation on a wise path. Young athletes would do well to heed the advice of this veteran leader still performing at an elite level after over a decade in the league.

Beyond the Field: The Surprising Story of Jason Kelce and Jalen Hurts’ Unbreakable Friendship

The Bond That Powers Philadelphia’s Offense

For the past two seasons, two figures have stood out as the heart and soul of the Philadelphia Eagles offense – veteran center Jason Kelce and young quarterback Jalen Hurts. While their different positions and backgrounds might suggest otherwise, Kelce and Hurts have developed one of the closest friendships on the team. However, the true reasons behind their strong bond have remained largely unknown, hidden beneath the surface of their on-field success together. As the Eagles embark on another playoff run, it’s worth examining what really drew these two leaders together and continues to power their dynamic partnership.

    Shared Struggles
Perhaps one of the biggest factors cementing Kelce and Hurts’ friendship has been their shared experiences overcoming adversity. Kelce, now in his 11th NFL season, has seen his fair share of ups and downs throughout his career. He’s played under multiple head coaches and offensive systems, and battled through injuries that could have ended his career. As the veteran leader of the Eagles’ offensive line, he’s also shouldered plenty of blame during losing seasons.

Hurts, meanwhile, entered the league facing immense doubts after losing his starting job at Alabama and transferring to Oklahoma for his final college season. Even after the Eagles drafted him in 2020, many questioned if he had what it took to be a franchise quarterback in the NFL. In his first season as Philadelphia’s starter in 2021, Hurts silenced some critics but still faced an uncertain future as an impending free agent.

Both Kelce and Hurts have had to fight through moments when their abilities were in question or the team’s direction seemed unclear. Overcoming adversity requires mental and physical toughness, as well as strong leadership qualities to lift up teammates. Their shared experiences facing down doubters and persevering through challenges likely created an immediate understanding and connection. Going through struggles together can forge incredibly strong bonds, and Kelce and Hurts have undoubtedly drawn strength from being able to relate to the other’s experiences and support one another.

    Mutual Respect
Beyond shared hardships, Kelce and Hurts’ friendship is also built on a foundation of mutual respect. At 34, Kelce is the elder statesman of the Eagles’ locker room and one of the most respected players in the entire NFL. His four Pro Bowl selections and 2018 Second-Team All-Pro honors speak to his excellence and longevity on the field. Off it, Kelce is renowned as a consummate leader who holds himself and others to the highest standards.

Meanwhile, Hurts stepped into a difficult situation as a young quarterback still proving himself. But his tireless work ethic, humility, and laser-focus on self-improvement quickly earned Kelce’s respect. The veteran center saw Hurts’ relentless drive to develop all aspects of his game, from footwork to mechanics to film study. He also admired Hurts’ natural charisma and ability to command a huddle at such a young age.

For his part, Hurts came to respect Kelce as the unquestioned anchor of the offensive line and a master of his position. He witnessed Kelce’s technical brilliance, split-second reads, and knack for making the perfect protection calls. Most of all, Hurts valued Kelce’s veteran guidance and leadership, both in meetings and between series on the sidelines. Their mutual admiration of each other’s skills and character traits laid the groundwork for a friendship built on respect.

    Off-the-Field Bonding
Beyond their time together at the NovaCare Complex, Kelce and Hurts’ relationship has also strengthened due to their off-the-field camaraderie. The two leaders are often seen hanging out together away from the practice fields, whether grabbing lunch or dinner in Philadelphia or working out at the same gym. These casual interactions allow their friendship to deepen on a more personal level outside the structured environment of an NFL season.

Some reports indicate Kelce and Hurts share similar laidback personalities when away from the game. Both enjoy relaxing low-key evenings with family and close friends rather than going out on the town. They’ve also bonded over a few surprising shared interests – Kelce is an avid angler and hunter, while Hurts has picked up fly fishing in his spare time. Hitting the nearby rivers and streams together provides further opportunities for conversations and bonding experiences completely removed from football.

Spending quality time outside of work helps sustain any friendship, and Kelce and Hurts seem to genuinely enjoy each other’s company even when not breaking down film or practicing routes. Their off-field camaraderie has given their on-field relationship deeper roots by allowing their personalities to connect on personal levels beyond X’s and O’s.

    Understanding Each Other’s Roles
Perhaps most importantly, Kelce and Hurts’ friendship thrives due to their intimate understanding of each other’s vital roles within Philadelphia’s offense. As the quarterback, Hurts touches the ball on every snap and shoulders immense pressure as the field general. But he knows he can only succeed if ten other men on the field, led by Kelce, do their jobs to perfection as well.

Kelce, on the other hand, recognizes that for all his pre-snap reads and line calls, his individual performance means little without Hurts executing behind him. The center is the first line of protection, responsible for keeping defenders away from his young quarterback on every drop back. But he also understands allowing even one pressure can ruin a drive or potentially injure Hurts.

Their appreciation for how reliant they are on one another creates a symbiotic relationship. Hurts trusts Kelce completely to make the right protections and blocks to keep him safe. In turn, Kelce has unwavering faith in Hurts’ poise, decision-making and athleticism to make something out of nothing when pressure breaks through.

More than just respect, their friendship stems from a deep, intuitive understanding of the other’s job and what it takes physically and mentally to perform under immense pressure. They’ve developed an almost psychic connection reading body language and nonverbal cues that speaks to hours of film study and practice spent dissecting the smallest details together. That comprehensive grasp and reliance on each other’s roles power their dynamic partnership.

    Fuel for Success
Ultimately, the true reasons behind Jason Kelce and Jalen Hurts’ strong friendship may never be fully known. But their bond, however it formed, has undeniably played a major role in the Eagles’ recent success. With Kelce as the unflappable anchor and Hurts developing into a dual-threat star, they give Philadelphia an offense that opponents struggle to match.

Their relationship seems to give both players an extra dose of confidence, motivation and support that filters down to the entire unit. From fiery pre-game speeches to sideline pep talks, Kelce and Hurts fuel each other and their teammates. The trust, understanding and chemistry they’ve built up also allows them to spontaneously adjust protections or audible into the perfect play without missing a beat.

As the Eagles embark on another playoff run, Kelce and Hurts will once again be looked to as the engine powering Philadelphia’s offense. But while their statistics and accolades are visible for all to see, the true untold story lies in the friendship between these two leaders – a bond forged from shared struggles, mutual respect, off-field bonding and comprehensive role understanding. However it formed, their powerful partnership continues propelling the Eagles toward Super Bowl dreams.
