Jason Kelce won’t be playing center for the Eagles anymore, but he may still have a hand in helping their offensive line.

The Eagles drafted center Dylan McMahon in the sixth round and McMahon met Kelce during his first visit to the Eagles facility last week. McMahon was the 190th pick while Kelce was the 191st pick in 2011 and Kelce noted that the two players have being undersized in common as well.

McMahon said that he’s watched film of Kelce for a long time and that the recently retired Eagle “said he hopes to help me out in any way he can” as McMahon embarks on his NFL career.

“I don’t want to bug him. I’d do it every day if I could,” McMahon said, via Dave Zangaro of NBCSportsPhiladelphia.com. “But he’s got his own stuff going around. He gave me his number. If I ever have a question or anything, I may just hit him up. If he doesn’t reply, because I know he’s got a lot of stuff going on, hopefully he will eventually. As much as I can without bugging him, for sure.”

Cam Jurgens is expected to be the Eagles center, but McMahon could change the plans in Philly if he’s able to turn lessons from Kelce into production on the field.

They joined Mahomes, 28, and his wife Brittany for a secret double date prior to the charity auction.

Diners at Mexican steakhouse Toca Madera were stunned to see the three-time Super Bowl champion and 14-time Grammy Award-winner seated next to them following the bash.

One fan grabbed a short clip of the pair as they left the swanky eatery hand-in-hand.

Kelce introduced Swift as his “significant other” at the auction, which was organized by The Mahomies Foundation.

“We might have one other auction item that wasn’t on the docket,” Kelce said, per The Independent.

“Has anybody heard of The Eras tour?” he added, revealing four tickets for Swift’s smash tour.

Kelce would later hit the Las Vegas strip for a night of solo partying.

Kelce looked at McMahon and said, “Undersized center?”

While the Eagles think they have their center of the future in Cam Jurgens, they still selected McMahon in the sixth-round out of NC State in the 2024 Draft.

And the comparisons of McMahon to Kelce have been pretty unavoidable. Even though Kelce’s post-football life figures to be pretty busy — Kelce is reportedly joining ESPN’s Monday Night Football pre-game coverage — he is still willing to carve out some time to help the Eagles’ newest sixth-round center prospect.

“We have that in common,” McMahon said. “And just talked a little bit about football and the guys I’ll be facing regularly in our division. He said just make sure you’re staying in the weight room. You can put good weight on you with your frame and your body. There’s places to put good weight on, weight and muscle.

“Just wished me good luck. Like I said, it was pretty surreal meeting him. He said he hopes to help me out in anyway he can. So that will be pretty cool.”

The Eagles had their rookie minicamp this past weekend so it was the first chance for McMahon (6-3, 299) to get a taste of life in the NFL. But it was pretty cool for him to meet Kelce the day before it started.

Because for McMahon, there’s no one better to look up to than Kelce. The recently retired Eagles legend is the perfect role model for a generation of undersized and athletic centers. And now McMahon will get to learn directly from Kelce … at least here and there.

“I don’t want to bug him. I’d do it every day if I could,” McMahon said. “But he’s got his own stuff going around. He gave me his number. If I ever have a question or anything, I may just hit him up. If he doesn’t reply, because I know he’s got a lot of stuff going on, hopefully he will eventually. As much as I can without bugging him, for sure.”

Most of McMahon’s lessons will come from offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland, who is a legend in his own right. But it’s pretty cool to have Kelce a phone call or text away.

Of course, McMahon has been learning from Kelce long before their meeting last week. When Kelce was drafted back in the sixth round of 2011, there weren’t nearly as many examples of smaller centers succeeding in the NFL. Now, it seems like every time an undersized center is drafted, the first guy mentioned is always Kelce.

So it’s no surprise that McMahon has been studying Kelce’s tape for years and there’s one big takeaway from it.

“I would just say the leverage,” McMahon said. “I would say the size is a big comparison. Just the leverage he plays with in the game being an undersized guy is something I want to take to my game as well. I tend to sometimes play a little high. Just being able to take that leverage he uses and distribute it to my game I think will be a huge bonus in my game.”

Back in 2011, the Eagles took Kelce with the 191st overall pick. McMahon this year was pick No. 190.

McMahon said that beyond being able to learn from Kelce, it’s comforting to see Kelce’s success as a late-round draft pick. Maybe it’s still somewhat unlikely that McMahon will succeed in the NFL but plenty of Day 3 guys have done it before.

One former late-round pick in particular will be watching closely.

“Of course I’m excited to see what this kid does,” Kelce said on the New Heights podcast. “And I’m sure Stout’s excited about having some new guys in the room and some fresh young guys to really try and mold. I always love when the new guys come in. I mean, let’s be honest. No sixth-round center’s making it. Especially not Eagles’ ones.”

He turned up at the racecourse solo and without Swift, who has not made an appearance in Kentucky this weekend.

And not too long after making his appearance, Kelce appeared to land one of his first bets of the day at Churchill Downs.

PAULSBORO, N.J. (CBS) — Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson shocked the wrestling world with an epic and surprise appearance at WrestleMania.

The recently retired center and offensive tackle for the Philadelphia Eagles looked like naturals in and around the ring, but they put in the hard work before the big event.

“It was fun to watch them because I try to tell everybody the greatest people to train are athletes and athletes who are fans, and they were both,” said Danny Cage, who owns the Monster Factory in Paulsboro.

Cage trains professional wrestlers. He said Kelce’s team reached out to him directly ahead of WrestleMania to help prepare the two Eagles fan favorites, and he couldn’t say yes fast enough.

“They say ‘don’t meet your heroes,’ I met them. They’re cool, and they’re awesome people,” Cage said.

Kelce and Johnson ended up helping Rey Mysterio win his match Saturday night at Lincoln Financial Field, but last week they didn’t know what their role would be exactly. Cage said he got his students involved to help teach the stars how to run the ropes, perform a body slam and drop an elbow.

“Everyone, especially in this city, sees Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson as superheroes, and being able to say that I was in the ring with these people and got to get slammed by them, no one in the world can say that,” said David Goldy, who began wrestling at age 17.

Cage said Kelce and Johnson spent more than seven hours training.

After running through multiple scenarios, they took photos and spoke with the students, signed autographs, and they even signed the wall in the gym. It’s a day that Cage said he and his students will never forget.

“When I say I was in the ring with Jason Kelce and was training him and doing all this stuff with him, having conversations, and got to crack beers with him — I’m not going to let everybody forget that I got to drink a beer with Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson — but that was a really cool experience,” he said.

Kelce and Johnson are now considered honorary graduates of the Monster Factory. Cage said they asked for the training schedule and told him they wanted to come back. Cage replied his door is always open.
