“Day 4 of Sickness”: Fearful Brittany Provides a Concerning Health Update on Patrick Mahomes’ Daughter’s “Stomach Virus”

Patrick Mahomes‘ family has always been the foundation of his gridiron domination, and the Chiefs‘ quarterback has no qualms in dedicating his success to their love and support. With their two adorable 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren, Brittany and Patrick Mahomes have created a slice of heaven for themselves. Since 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡, daughter Sterling and son Bronze have been the apple of their mother’s and father’s eyes. Both Bronze and Sterling feature regularly in their parent’s Instagram stories. Although, Brittany’s latest social media update will probably leave fans apprehensive.

On Tuesday, Brittany Mahomes took to her Instagram stories to share a worrying update on Sterling’s health. Anxious for her daughter to get well soon, mom Brittany revealed that Sterling has been battling a persistent stomach virus. Sharing a picture of her daughter sleeping in her arms, the former soccer player and mother of two wrote, “Day 4 of sickness for my 𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑦 boo. Some stomach virus that won’t get the heck out of here”. Raising kids is not a cakewalk for any parent, but Brittany has come forward to share that Sterling and Bronze both suffer from severe allergies, which can make taking care of them an even bigger challenge.

Recently, in an interview with PEOPLE, Brittany opened up about how Patrick Mahomes’ son Bronze once had to be rushed to the emergency room after he ingested a drink with peanuts. Calling it “one of the most terrifying days” of her life, the KC Current stakeholder further described her ordeal and said, “Fortunately, he was okay, but I’ve had to cope with this new way of living and ensure my family is safe inside the home and out.”

Getting candid about her daughter’s allergies, the NFL star’s wife further added, “We’ve been aware of Sterling’s allergies since she was an infant. We’ve been learning more along the major 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥hood milestones and are so grateful to continue to discover helpful resources along the way.” The Chiefs’ star quarterback and the retired soccer player, however, have left no stone unturned when it comes to the care of their 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren.

Brittany and Patrick Mahomes have resorted to keeping allergy-friendly food items handy for their kids. Not only that, but Brittany has made it her life’s mission to educate not only her friends and family but the world at large, about allergies. After all, kids’ safety is paramount for any parent.

Patrick Mahomes’ wife keeps on fighting for her kids

Since becoming a mother of two 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren who have food allergies, Brittany Mahomes has made several strides in spreading awareness about the cause. The 28-year-old mother of two has become a pioneer and has even donated to FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education), a leading national organization committed to enhancing and empowering the lives of individuals with food allergies.

Throwing light on the purpose behind her donation, Patrick Mahomes’ wife said, “The ‘I Can’ campaign will help the +85 million Americans impacted by food allergies and intolerances. Supporting and empowering this community will aid in FARE’s transformative work in research, education and advocacy to improve the quality of life for these Americans.”

Her biggest motivation, however, comes from being a caring mother to her 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren. “I want Sterling and Bronze to grow up having a healthy relationship with food, and my goal as a mom is to ensure they feel safe and informed in case of emergency,” says Brittany Mahomes. Parents will indeed go to the ends of the earth to ensure their 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren live a healthy and happy life. Patrick Mahomes and his wife’s dedication to their 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren is a living example of the same.

  • The Lakers have no choice. They must do whatever it takes to keep LeBron James

The Lakers have no choice. They must do whatever it takes to keep LeBron James

LeBron James points during a Game 5 playoff loss to the Nuggets.

Will LeBron James return to the Lakers lineup next season? James was frustrated as time ran out during the team’s Game 5 playoff loss to the Denver Nuggets Monday night, ending the Lakers’ season.
    (David Zalubowski / Associated Press)

LeBron James raised the microphone to his face.

    “Ummm,” he started.

James smiled and looked at me.

“I’m not going to answer that,” he said.

    James nodded.

“Appreciate it,” he said, still smiling.

With that, he walked off the dais.

The question I asked that James declined to answer: Did he have any thoughts on Monday night that he might have played his last game for the Lakers?

The Lakers were eliminated from the playoffs, a 108-106 loss to the Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena in Game 5 of their Western Conference first-round series, sending them into an offseason of uncertainty.

    (David Zalubowski / Associated Press)

The most critical of these questions pertains to the 39-year-old James, who can decline his $51.4-million option for next season.

When James gave his non-answer after the game, he sounded as if he were negotiating with the Lakers, but this wasn’t about money. The financial parameters for his anticipated return are already set: The most the Lakers can offer him is $162 million over three years.

    This is about influence.

He wants better players around him. He has asked for that in the past, and he indirectly asked for that again when replying to a question about whether he gained confidence in the team based on its improved form late in the regular season, as well as in the series against the Nuggets.

“No,” James said. “We lost. I’m not a participation guy.”

The Lakers were supposed to be done with James making demands after the disastrous trade they made for Russell Westbrook at James’ behest. Yet, somehow, here they are two years later, with James armed with as much leverage as he has ever had.

    What happened?

The Lakers are what happened. General manager Rob Pelinka could soon be hiring his third head coach in five years, not because Darvin Ham is any more at fault than Pelinka is for this lost season, but because the alternative to firing Ham would be for Pelinka to fire himself.

How organizations are run are reflections of their owners, and the uncomfortable truth is that the Lakers won’t win another championship until the Buss family sells the team or another generational superstar somehow drops into their laps, as James did six years ago.

If James isn’t the only thing the Lakers have going for them, he’s certainly the best thing. The Lakers aren’t contending for championships these days, but they can still occasionally trick their fans into thinking they have a chance, and that’s a credit to James, who averaged 25.7 points, 7.3 rebounds and 8.3 assists in his 21st season.

James is why the Lakers can never be counted out. He was that once again in their elimination game, during which he registered 30 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds.

Without him, they would morph back into what they were between Kobe Bryant’s retirement and James’ arrival, only without the lottery picks. The Lakers collected some talented players then, but what most distinguished that era was the complete absence of hope.

A franchise that defines itself by championships can’t return to that place, and James is smart enough to know this, which is the most likely explanation for why he was as cagey as he was in his postgame exit interview.

He spoke about what his 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥ren had going on in their lives and about the USA basketball training camp ahead of the Olympics, but not much about his future beyond that.

“I haven’t given it much thought,” James said. “Obviously, at some point, I’ll sit down with Rich [Paul], my agent, and I’ll sit down with my family and we’ll see what’s best, what’s best for my career. So, we’ll cross that when we need to.”

Whether they believe him or not, the Lakers had to feel uncomfortable hearing this. Considering how many future first-round picks they’ve already traded, they’re understandably reluctant to trade any more, especially if the upgrades would be marginal.

James said he hadn’t “given much thought lately” to the possibility of playing on the same team as his son Bronny, but perhaps the Lakers can satisfy him by drafting the 19-year-old USC guard.

    Might as well.

The Lakers might not like being pressured this way by one of their employees, but what other choice do they have? The Lakers aren’t the Lakers anymore. LeBron James is the Lakers. The alternative is considerably worse.

More Than Just Stats: Exploring Devin Booker’s Life Before the Spotlight

Where is Devin Booker from? Exploring his persona life

Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns is one of the best players in the NBA today. He was a product of John Calipari and the University of Kentucky, but where is Devin Booker from? Let’s explore the Suns All-Star’s personal life and find out where he grew up.

The 27-year-old superstar was born on Oct. 30, 1996 to Melvin Booker and Veronica Guitierrez in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He grew up in Grand Rapids and was a huge fan of Detroit sports teams such as the Red Wings and Lions. He went to Grandville High School for his freshman year.

Booker moved to Mississippi with his father, who retired from professional basketball and was hired to coach Moss Point High School. He played for Moss Point for the final three years of his high school career and was a five-star recruit, as per ESPN.

Devin Booker committed to Kentucky and was the team’s sixth man in his freshman season. Booker decided to enter the 2015 NBA draft despite not starting any game and averaging just 10.0 points in 21.5 minutes per game.

The Phoenix Suns took a gamble on him and selected him 13th overall. He initially came off the bench in Phoenix as a rookie but earned a starting spot to get selected into the All-Rookie First Team.

Booker endured a tough regime in Phoenix and did not make the playoffs until 2021. He helped the Suns reach their second NBA Finals that same year but lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in six games.

The Michigan native is the only remaining player from that 2021 team that made the NBA Finals. He now has Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal as teammates, but he has an argument for being the best player on the team.

Where is Devin Booker from? The answer is Grand Rapids, Michigan, which was also mentioned above.

Ahead of Game 1 of the 2021 NBA Finals, Booker discussed what it was like growing up in his hometown and explained how he fell in love with the game.

“That’s where it all started,” Booker. “You threw me back just thinking about it now reminiscing in my head. That’s where I fell in love with the game. I fell in love with that Pistons team. They taught me the game of basketball.”Just being around everybody in West Michigan, I remember Drake Harris, just looking up to him every day and wanting to be him.”

LeBron James now says playing with son Bronny in NBA ‘not a priority’: insider

ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski shed some light on how LeBron James’ thought process of playing with his son, Bronny, has changed.

For quite some time, the elder James has been open about the long-term goal of teaming up with his son in the NBA.

This past season, Bronny played at USC and has declared for the NBA draft with the potential of returning to play college basketball if the pre-draft process does not pan out.

Playing with Bronny James in the NBA is no longer the top 'priority' for LeBron James, according to ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, citing a conversation with James' agent Rich Paul.Playing with Bronny James in the NBA is no longer the top ‘priority’ for LeBron James, according to ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, citing a conversation with James’ agent Rich Paul.Getty Images
Appearing on “NBA Today” earlier this week, Wojnarowski said he had spoken to James’ agent, Klutch Sports founder Rich Paul, who revealed that this pairing is no longer at the top of his client’s wishlist.

“The idea of them playing together is not a priority. It’s not foremost, at least any longer, in LeBron James’ mind,” Wojnarowski said, as covered by Larry Brown Sports.

“Rich Paul’s goal here in the pre-draft process for Bronny James is to see if there’s the right developmental organization, a place that can take a young player like Bronny James … If he does go in the draft, he very likely would spend next year in the G League.

“That’s the priority for them as a family. What’s best for Bronny James? If it ends up them together, that would be great, but I don’t get a sense it’s playing much of any role in LeBron James’ decision on next season.”

Bronny James averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game as a freshman at USC this past season.

LeBron has an opt-out in his contract with the Lakers and could become a free agent this offseason.

So far, he has been coy about what he plans to do next.

“I’ve seen, heard a lot of reports about my future. I said it last night and I’ll say it again,” James tweeted earlier this week.

“I do not know yet as I’m only thinking about spending time with my family & friends! When I know after speaking with the fam, my counsel as well as my representation about it then you guys will know.”

The James household has a lot of decisions to make this summer.

LeBron can play out the 2024-25 season on a $51.4 million player option in Los Angeles or extend off it to create a three-year deal. He can also turn down the money and become an unrestricted free agent for the first time since 2018. Bronny is eligible to declare for the 2024 draft or transfer from USC to another university.

The dream of teaming up is alive and well, although ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Bronny finding the right developmental system or organization is more of a priority than father and son playing together right now.

The following five teams would make the most sense for a Bronny and LeBron duo, offering a combination of win-now opportunity, a history of developing players, an existing connection for James and/or cap space and 2024 draft picks to make this a reality.

    Projected Cap Space: $27.3 million

    2024 Draft Pick(s): Nos. 5 (projected), 35 and 48 overall

Don’t be fooled by San Antonio’s 22 wins or the fact that this projects to be the youngest team in the NBA next season (23.6). The Spurs have arguably the greatest coach of all time, the greatest prospect since LeBron James himself and a huge collection of draft picks moving forward.

The Spurs could pivot from a rebuild to a contender at any time. This is a team that might possess two top-10 picks depending on how the lottery shakes out, with a 10.5 percent chance at winning the No. 1 overall selection again.

San Antonio also has 22 extra picks and swaps over the next seven years without a single draft pick owed to another team. It could use these to bring in win-now help around James and Victor Wembanyama and build a title contender almost overnight.

Popovich would be a huge recruiting voice to help land James, a player he’s always been extremely complimentary of. There’s perhaps no better coach for Bronny to learn under, especially with all of the Hall of Fame players that have developed in San Antonio over the past 27 years.

The Spurs have the capability of creating max cap space for James, trading for another star and selecting Bronny with either of their second-round picks.

    Set Number: SI146 TK1

Projected Cap Space: None, non-taxpayer mid-level exception ($12.9 million)

    2024 Draft Pick(s): No. 20 overall

It’s been exactly 10 years since LeBron James announced he was returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Bronny was just nine years old at the time, coming home to the city where he was 𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐧.

What better place for father and son to play together?

The Cavs could use both, as even if Cleveland makes it past the Orlando Magic in the first round, this team doesn’t look championship-ready. Adding LeBron to a core of Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland, Evan Mobley, Jarrett Allen and others would certainly change that.

Getting LeBron on board would make it far more likely that Mitchell signs an extension with the Cavs, a team that already has Garland (also a Klutch client) under contract until 2028.

Even if Bronny needs to spend the majority of his 2024-25 season in the G League, he won’t be far away. The Cleveland Charge are just a three-minute drive from Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, giving LeBron plenty of chances to take in his son’s games.

This certainly has some storybook ending potential for James’ career, playing out his final few seasons in his backyard while his son begins his own career where LeBron’s started.

Bronny used to be a regular in the Cavs locker room after games. Now, he could have his own.

Projected Cap Space: None, taxpayer mid-level exception of $5.2 million

    2024 Draft Pick(s): Nos. 15 and 43 overall

Ignoring finances for a minute, James going back to Miami to finish his career with the Heat (this time without the fanfare) would make a lot of sense.

Erik Spoelstra has grown from a rookie on the sidelines to the best coach in the NBA. LeBron has gone through eight head coaches in his 21 seasons and will likely play for a ninth if he stays with the Lakers. Joining Miami would finally mean some stability on the sideline for James.

Spoelstra just signed an eight-year, $120 million contract and would see over Bronny’s development long after LeBron retires. Perhaps no franchise finds and develops undrafted players and second-round picks better than Miami.

The Heat should still be in the title hunt next season with Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Tyler Herro, Terry Rozier, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Duncan Robinson and others all under contract. Getting James to agree to turn down $50 million with the Los Angeles Lakers next year to play for just over $5 million with the Heat may be a non-starter, however.

Miami could always try to dump some contracts and offer James a little bit more, but this is a team already flirting with the second tax apron. Still, if James commits, Pat Riley and company would likely find a way.

    Philadelphia 76ers

Jesse D. Garrabrant/NBAE via Getty Images

    Projected Cap Space: $55.5 million

    2024 Draft Pick(s): Nos. 16 and 41 overall

The 76ers are the best team that possesses max cap space this summer, making them an intriguing fit for both LeBron and Bronny.

With just four players on the roster for next season (and only one with a guaranteed contract), Bronny may end up in the starting lineup out of necessity (just kidding, we think).

A trio of LeBron, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey may be the best in the NBA if the MVP center can stay healthy. Maxey is quickly making the superstar leap in these playoffs and will almost certainly sign a five-year, max contract with the 76ers this summer.

The Sixers have already shown interest in signing Paul George to fill their vacant wing spot. LeBron would be an upgrade at the position and could slide into a second- or even third-scorer role for Philly as he approaches age 40.

Selecting Bronny at pick No. 41 is well worth the price if LeBron commits to join the 76ers, and James should be thrilled to leave a loaded West and join an established contender in a far weaker conference.

Filling out the roster will be tricky, but landing LeBron and Bronny would be worth the lack of depth.

    Los Angeles Lakers

    Jim Poorten/NBAE via Getty Images

    Projected Cap Space: $36.5 million*

    2024 Draft Pick(s): Nos. 17* and 55 overall

Although James would fit with a number of teams, no franchise needs LeBron more than the Lakers.

Los Angeles is also “very open to the prospect of helping LeBron fulfill his dream of playing with his son Bronny by potentially drafting him,” according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, Jovan Buha and Sam Amick.

The Lakers technically have cap space if James doesn’t opt in to his contract for 2024-25 and D’Angelo Russell turns down his $18.7 million contract as well. This quickly becomes a $5.2 million taxpayer mid-level exception if they return.

James can make the most money by staying in L.A. by picking up his player option and extending off it for a total of $164.3 million over the next three years. This could be his last big NBA payday, important for someone who wants to own a team someday.

The James family has lived in Los Angeles (and owned a home there even years before) since 2018. This gives everyone a chance to stay rooted as Bryce, 16, finishes high school and Zhuri, 9, works her way through school as well.

The Lakers have to hope they can get Bronny at pick No. 55, as the New Orleans Pelicans have the right to Los Angeles’ first-rounder either this year or next (a decision that will be made by June 1).

Re-signing LeBron, drafting Bronny and looking to acquire a third star along with Anthony Davis is the Lakers’ best path this summer.

Following the release of her most recent album, The Torture Poets Department, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce went to the Madeo Ristorante in West Hollywood on April 24. A waiter who served the couple described them as great tippers. “She’s super sweet,” the waiter said, per Marca. “They were super nice. Very, very nice. She tipped really, really well.” Even though the celebrity’s reservation was not made in her name, a source said that a ‘bunch of little girls’ waited up outside the restaurant when they heard Swift was having dinner. “When it’s that level [of fame], you can’t even name-drop or say, ‘It’s gonna be her,’ because it would’ve been mayhem,” the source says.

The 34-year-old pair was seen sitting in a striped booth at the restaurant in a picture posted on X (previously Twitter) on Thursday, April 25. Kelce was dressed in a white shirt, while Swift had her hair pulled back and was dressed in a sleeveless black dress. Swift’s 11th album, TTPD, was released a day before this outing. It was the first album in Spotify history to receive more than one billion plays in a single week, per PEOPLE. It is believed that Kelce served as the idea for the new songs So High School and The Alchemy, both of which make numerous football allusions and seem to hint at him imitating his father, Ed Kelce.

Swift has a reputation for being a really good tipper. During the 2023 NFL season, she was seen giving out $100 at an NFL stadium. Swift previously made news in 2013 when she tipped $500 for an $800 meal and handed the head chef two tickets to her gig the next night, going above and above the $800 she paid at the Philadelphia restaurant. It’s also not like she needs restaurant service to be kind; in 2014, Swift supposedly gave $90 to a fan in New York City after the girl said she was going to Chipotle.

In August 2023, sources also confirmed that the pop star, who was scheduled to perform six sold-out shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, had given bonuses totaling more than $55 million to all of the people who worked on her enormous show, including her dancers, riggers, sound technicians, and caterers, per PEOPLE. Before her performance in Santa Clara, Swift, 33, gave each truck driver on her tour $100,000.

It’s hardly unsurprising that the couple would have good tipping habits. Swift undoubtedly has a lot of money to spare. Currently in the middle of her multibillion-dollar Eras Tour, the legendary musician doesn’t appear to be slowing down anytime soon. Conversely, Kelce is one of the highest-paid tight ends in NFL history.

Swift, 34, accessorized her chic look with her usual vintage Cartier chained necklace ($27,250), drop earrings and several rings.

The 14-time Grammy winner styled her hair in a bun and wore her favorite red lipstick.

As for Kelce, 34, he sported a multi-colored cardigan and white T-shirt. He topped off his simple fit with a white cowboy hat and chained necklace.

“Tortured Poets Society ✍🏼 I love nice people. #Finally #NGLMyKneesWereShaking,” Sacha Tanha captioned the snap.

While the photo was barely shared on social media, it appears it was taken late Saturday night ahead of the NFL star’s stop at the Wynn’s XS nightclub as he was wearing the same outfit.
