Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James worked out with his sons, Bronny and Bryce, ahead of the 2024 NBA draft.
They were seen getting shots up and throwing down dunks in an Instagram post on Tuesday.
James wrapped up another impressive campaign with the Lakers during his 2023-24 season, while Bronny could end up hearing his name called on Wednesday or Thursday after declaring for the draft in April.
Bryce, James’ youngest son, is currently the No. 29 shooting guard in the 2025 recruiting class (per 247Sports’ composite rankings).
Despite Bronny’s struggles throughout his freshman season at USC, he’s still generated plenty of interest from NBA teams and should hear his name called before the end of the second round. On Monday, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported that he’s “entrenched” to the Lakers with the No. 55 overall pick.
Rich Paul, James’ agent, confirmed to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony on June 19 that the former Trojans guard has worked out with Los Angeles as well as the Phoenix Suns. The Suns hold the No. 22 pick, while the Lakers have the No. 17 choice in addition to their second-round selection.
Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Wasserman projected Los Angeles to select the younger James with the No. 55 pick in his latest mock draft.
Although the Lakers appear to be interested in the 19-year-old, his father’s future with the team isn’t currently set in stone. The four-time MVP has a $51.4 million player option for the 2024-25 season and has yet to choose if he’ll opt in or not. James will need to make a decision regarding his option before the deadline on Saturday.
However, James is focused on spending time with his sons and getting some work in as Bronny prepares to potentially enter the association by the time the draft concludes on Thursday evening.
