“If we would’ve been at the park, I would’ve had to pop the trunk. You probably want to take KG off that tough guy list. Now, great basketball player, yes!” Haslem said.
Despite Garnett not making any direct remarks against Haslem, his comments about other Heat players often infuriated Haslem. These instances of Garnett’s trash talk fired up Haslem, leading to his recent public statements. By calling out Garnett, it seems Haslem used to address the long-standing issue that has bothered him for years.

“Much respect to the career that Kevin Garnett had. But the s*** that come out his mouth sometime ain’t got nothing to do with basketball and is the most disrespectful s*** I ever heard in my life,” Haslem said.
