There has been an update on the wrestling futures of Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson following their WWE WrestleMania 40 appearance.
After much speculation beforehand, WrestleMania 40 Night One saw former Philadelphia Eagle Jason Kelce make an appearance during the tag team match between Rey Mysterio & Andrade vs. Santos Escobar & Dominik Mysterio.
Accompanied by current Eagles offensive tackle Lane Johnson, the pair donned luchador masks and made a crucial interjection that resulted in Rey and Andrade picking up the win.
Now, courtesy of a new update from PWInsider we have further details regarding Kelce and Johnson’s preparations for their WrestleMania appearance.
According to the report Kelce reached out to The Monster Factory and its owner Danny Cage in Paulsboro, New Jersey regarding some pro wrestling training – something that he would document on his path to WrestleMania.
Both Kelce and Johnson reportedly spent “several hours” training in-ring and outside the week prior to WrestleMania.
Both men received rave reviews by Cage, who noted how quickly both took to pro wrestling, hailing the respect they showed to those at The Monster Factory as well as the pro wrestling industry in general.
As for their futures inside a ring, according to PWInsider both Kelce and Johnson expressed interest in returning to the Monster Factory for further training at some point.
While it’s unclear if/when this will happen, both Kelce and Johnson would receive honorary diplomas from The Monster Factory for their efforts.
