The iHeartPodcast Awards took place over the weekend at SXSW Festival and the winner for Podcast of the Year was none other than ‘New Heights‘. A show created by the Kelce brothers but powered by the famous 92 percenters, AKA all the Swifties. Ever since Taylor Swift started dating Travis, they have been the driving force that has taken this podcast to new heights, pun intended. There was even a moment in which the Kelces beat none other than Joe Rogan as the most popular podcast in the world. Taylor Swift fans have the power to change the outcome of an election if they wanted to, this is not hard to imagine they could accomplish. Both Kelce brothers wanted to send all Swifties a message.
On Monday, both Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce decided to make a video where they accept the award and thank everybody involved in the voting. Jason Kelce was very clear of how influential Taylor Swift fans have been throughout this entire journey of the ‘New Heights’ podcast. This is what the now retired NFL star said on this video: “This is an incredible honor especially for two jabronies like us. To receive an award like this is beyond humbling and we would be remiss if we didn’t immediately thank all the 92 percenters out there – AKA Swifties – who voted for us to win this award.”
Travis Kelce also had some words for all the Swifties. He is well aware of how important his relationship with Taylor Swift has been for him to get such a high honor. ‘New Heights’ is great content without the Taylor Swift factor but they wouldn’t be as popular without Swifties supporting it. Everybody knows this to be a fact. Here is what Travis said about Swifties: “You guys make this show what it is. We truly appreciate it. Thank you again to [the] iHeartPodcast Awards. To the 92 percenters, thank you guys as well.”
