Larsa Pippen is a one-woman show on Separation Anxiety now and she’s not holding back. She’s once more setting the record straight on her history with the Chicago Bulls dynasty. That is, she was never in it. She also witnessed the waning relationship between the team’s greatest duo, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. If you ask Larsa, the supposed best friends-turned-foes are not what everyone assumes.
“I think people want to pretend they were best friends,” Larsa said about The Pip and His Airness. She doesn’t stutter when she says, “They were not friends. They were not best friends.”Larsa and Scottie were together since 1997 before finalizing their divorce in 2021. Shortly into their relationship, Scottie would win his final chip with the Bulls in 1998 before he went to the Houston Rockets. As per Larsa, her official NBA WAG life began in Houston and she never interacted with the Jordan fam indicating Scottie was not that close to them to introduce his partner to the team.
She and Marcus reiterated they were initially friends before they officially started dating. Her divorce came shortly after the release of The Last Dance which had caused bitter feelings between Scottie and Mike. Though she said that they weren’t friends in the first place, she’s unclear about her ex-husband’s animosity with Michael Jordan.
Larsa Pippen can’t vouch for her ex’s feelings
Scottie Pippen had a bone to pick with MJ since the documentary hit Netflix. He believes that the series showed everyone who’s not Jordan in poor light. However, when Larsa and Marcus made their relationship Instagram official in January 2023, well into Jordan and Pippen’s Last Dance-related feud, the blame was put too much on them for the beef. But Larsa Pippen said on the podcast she doesn’t know about Scottie’s exact feelings over the documentary. “Scotty knows how he feels,” she says but she didn’t give much thought to it herself. The mother of four does think that he has his reasons to be hurt by it.Larsa’s relationship with Marcus Jordan ended for good this month. Yet she’s still fighting allegations that she ruined MJ and Scottie’s friendship. With the benefit of hindsight, she can say that there was no friendship to ruin in the first place.
