Whether you’re a longtime football fan or a recent convert from Swiftiedom, there’s no way to not fall in love with Kylie Kelce and Jason Kelce.
The sweet and humble family have become beloved, especially in their adopted hometown of Philadelphia, and there’s a reason: They’re just adorable—and seem like really good people, TBQH. And although Kylie has said fame is an experience she’s still getting used to, she and her husband have opened up recently about their sweet family life with their three young daughters—from family trips to Disney World to their bond with “Uncle Trav” aka Travis Kelce.
Here’s a full relationship timeline of the MVPs (most valuable parents) with the newest developments first.
January 21, 2024: At the Kansas City Chiefs–Buffalo Bills game, Jason and Kylie meet Travis’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, for the very first time. On an episode of New Heights recorded after the game, Travis confirms that this was the first time they were all together, and tells his brother, “Tay said she absolutely loved you.” Kylie Kelce and Taylor Swift: new best friends?
But Kylie was not thrilled that Jason had decided to strip his shirt off in the suite. After his wife told him to be on his “best behavior” to meet the pop star, Jason says, per People, “I was like, ‘Kylie, when I met you, the first day I met you I was black-out drunk and fell asleep at the bar. This is part of the charm. This is part of the Jason Kelce charm.’”
February 23, 2023: Baby Bennett makes her way into the world!
100 Years of British Fashion
February 12, 2023: Heavily pregnant with the couple’s third child, Kylie Kelce watches the Super Bowl with her ob-gyn by her side, in case she goes into labor in the stadium. This is the famous “Kelce Bowl” in which the Philadelphia Eagles faced off against the Chiefs, meaning that Jason was playing against Travis, and their mom, Donna, had to wear her special both-teams jersey.
March 3, 2021: Their second daughter, Elliotte, arrives.
October 2, 2019: The Kelces welcome their first child, a daughter named Wyatt.
April 14, 2018: The pair wed in Philly surrounded by friends and family. Listen to their hilarious proposal story here.
On an episode of the New Heights podcast that the Kelce brothers co-host, Kylie revealed the not-so-romantic way Jason popped the question.
“Let’s be abundantly clear. When he asked me to marry him, he prefaced it, he said, ‘this isn’t the most romantic way to do this,’ and I immediately started crying because I knew what was happening only because he referenced being romantic. That’s how infrequently he is romantic,” said Kylie.
Jason added that he wanted to get the proposal “done before training camp,” and wanted to ask her parents’ blessing first. As he and Kylie were getting ready to leave her parents’ house, he recalled, “I couldn’t figure out how to inconspicuously go back into the house…so when we got in the car I said ‘Ky, I’m sorry, I have to take a shit right now.’” When he came out two minutes later, Kylie knew something was up. “He came back out and I said, ‘Jason, go back in there and go to the bathroom. It usually takes you twenty minutes, and we are not turning around.’” And then he proposed! (Awww?)
2017: Kylie graduates from college with a degree in communications, Jason by her side.
C. 2015: The couple haven’t revealed the exact date they met, but it appears that they were a couple by November 2015. And yep, they met on Tinder.
In the Kelce documentary on Amazon Prime, Kylie (McDevitt, at the time) recalled that since his profile had no football-related photos, she didn’t immediately clock her latest match as an NFL player. But he looked familiar, so she and her friends did some digging and connected the dots. Kylie assumed the profile was a catfish, but agreed to a date anyway, thinking that it would either be an impostor or the real Jason Kelce and, regardless, a funny story.
At the time Kylie was a student athlete (field hockey) at Cabrini University in Wayne, Pennsylvania. Her family is from the Philadelphia area, while the Kelces are from Ohio, so she was an Eagles fan even before he was!
“Right away when she walks in the door, the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen,” Jason recalled in the doc, describing his feelings as “very much like love at first sight.” That being said, he fell asleep 45 minutes into their first date. But he called her the next day for a do-over, and they’ve been together since.
