Jason Kelce’s wife Kylie has provided an update on what’s next for her husband, who’s hugely sought after by four TV networks.
Kelce, 36, said goodbye to his shining NFL career last month, but it’s unclear what the Philadelphia Eagles legend will do next. Popular TV networks ESPN, NBC, CBS and Amazon Prime Video are even lining up for a chance to snap him up.
Kelce already hosts a podcast with Travis, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end who’s dating Taylor Swift, called ‘New Heights’. It’s one of the most popular sports podcasts in America, proving the recently-retired star is capable of moving into broadcasting.
While talking on Today, Kylie let out that anything could happen next: “I think nothing is off the table at this point,” said Kylie when asked about his future. “He’s my husband, so I’m biased, but I think he’s so good at everything he tries, it’s kind of a pain in the butt. I think that nothing is off the table, he’s an ideas guy, so he’s letting them brew and seeing what happens.”
After an amazing career playing only for the Eagles, Kelce hung up his boots. He’ll be remembered as one of the best centres ever, particularly for helping secure Philadelphia’s first Super Bowl win six years ago, where they beat the New England Patriots 41-33.
Kelce played in Super Bowl LVII in 2023, where the Eagles lost 38-35 to Travis and the Chiefs. He’s been to the Pro Bowl seven times, including last season. This shows he could still play in the NFL, as he decided to retire at the top of his game.

Kelce chose to stop playing football so he can relax and spend more time with his three daughters. Kylie said: “It’s not that I need to get him out of the house… he needs to get out of the house. With three children, I don’t think golf is going to cut it.”
But she added: “He has been writing his retirement speech for years. He’s been telling me he’s going to retire since we started dating nine years ago. I think he understood the impact of what football has been to his life.”
Kelce might reject a network opportunity if it means he can no longer host ‘New Heights’. Some people are even talking about Kelce coming back to play one more season with the Eagles. Saquon Barkley, the new Eagles running back who left the New York Giants, went on ‘New Heights’ to try and get Kelce to return.
Kelce told Barkley: “I’m like a kid in a candy store. I’m happy. I got a fresh start. I can’t wait to meet everybody and just go out there and play ball.” To which Barkley replied: “You don’t gotta watch it, you know.”
