LeBron James hasn’t forgotten his roots just because he moved away from Northeast Ohio.

James even recently used social media to advertise a T-shirt that will raise money for the I Promise School with each purchase. James used the LeBron James Family Foundation to open the public primary school for at-risk pupils in Akron last summer.

James recently shared a shirt on Instagram that reads, “Just a Kid From Akron.” It has the well-known tagline over an image of James wearing a St. Vincent-St. Mary High School jersey.
According to the website, “The LeBron James Family Foundation and the I Promise School will benefit from all proceeds from our LeBron James Just a Kid From Akron tee.”
