A few weeks ago, USC’s basketball season ended with a 70-49 loss to Arizona in the Pac-12 Tournament. The tournament’s top seed is the Wildcats. Prior to the game, the Trojans were perhaps playing some of their best basketball of the year, but they were unable to generate any offense. Following the season, Bronny James will need to decide on his next course of action.
He recently made the decision to take a chance and keep his eligibility in the NBA Draft; he will register via the transfer portal if he decides to go back to college.
The Whole Story of Bronny James and His Relationship With His NBA Star Father: LeBron James’ Son
When the season began, everyone thought James would play for USC for a year before joining the NBA. However, it was not the year that was anticipated of him. James finished the season with an average of 4.8 PPG, 2.8 RPG, and 2.1 APG.
In the first half at T-Mobile Arena, guards Bronny James (6) of the Southern California Trojans and Pelle Larsson (3) of the Arizona Wildcats compete for the ball.
That’s the issue. As a true freshman, Bronny plays collegiate basketball at a very high level. For their first season, the majority of true freshmen wind up on the bench. Bronny has demonstrated to us this season the typical growing pains associated with playing collegiate basketball. If these development pains were experienced by other true freshmen, we wouldn’t be surprised. Bronny, though, is a whole other thing.
Celebrating his son Bronny’s incredible dunk on the court, LeBron James
If Bronny James decides to declare for the NBA Draft, it will be interesting to see what kind of reaction he receives. If he wasn’t LeBron James’ son and the NBA wasn’t interested in him, it would be obvious that he ought to go back to school. But because of his father, he will draw attention, and it won’t harm him to learn what that attention entails. It’s likely that teams believe that if they select Bronny, his father would want to play for them. Seeing what Bronny decides to do with this immensely intriguing role will be interesting.
Some teams may be considering selecting LeBron James because he wants to play in the NBA with Bronny James. It’s unlikely that he would be chosen in the NBA Draft’s first round this year if he wasn’t related to LeBron. But teams could think twice if it meant LeBron followed him. One of the two participants in the GOAT argument currently resides in the Bulls, and they probably would be happy to have the other as well.
Although LeBron has a limited amount of playing time left in his career, most NBA teams would be happy to have him join them. Even though he isn’t performing at his best right now, he is still among the best players in the league. The Bulls ought to think about it.
Even though it is plainly dangerous to select Bronny in this year’s NBA Draft, he is an excellent basketball player. He is still an incredibly talented basketball player, despite the fact that the last campaign wasn’t very successful. He was a role player; he didn’t play as much as was anticipated. The Bulls would still have access to the son of one of the all-time greats if they selected him in the second round. With the way things have been going in Chicago, Bronny still has a lot of potential, so it might be worth a try.
