Shaquille O’Neal’s former mansion in Orlando, Florida, is once again available for purchase with a few notable changes to its interior.

According to the Orlando Business Journal, the property’s previous attempt at selling fell through in February. However, with the involvement of a new agent, Benjamin Hillman from Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, the 31,000-square-foot house has undergone a price reduction and received some interior modifications.

Situated at 9927 Giffin Court, the mansion boasts 12 bedrooms and has been on and off the market for several years. It is currently listed for $16.5 million, which is $3 million lower than its previous asking price a year ago. Furthermore, the current price is over $10 million less than its 2018 listing of $28 million. Hillman has not only adjusted the price but has also taken a different approach to marketing the property by removing any references to Shaquille O’Neal.

In an interview with Realtor.com, Hillman explained the changes he made before relisting the house. He stated, “For three years, I’ve been observing this property, and every agent has focused on Shaq, Shaq, Shaq.” However, Hillman’s intention is to dissociate the mansion from its celebrity history and emphasize its amenities, location, and lakefront view. He expressed his desire to educate potential buyers who are interested in purchasing a luxurious home within an exclusive community, rather than solely acquiring “Shaq’s house.

“In removing these personalized items, Hillman made further style changes to the mansion. He replaced light fixtures, repainted walls, rearranged 11 rooms, and substituted some furniture with newer pieces. Hillman revealed that offers have already been made for the property, indicating a high level of interest among potential buyers. The domain livelikeshaq.com, which previously hosted the listing, has been taken down.
