Last night in Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals, the Memphis Grizzlies absolutely destroyed the Golden State Warriors without Ja Morant on the court. Regretfully, Morant sustained damage in the fourth quarter of Game 3; a bone bruise has been identified on his right knee.
Still, the Grizzlies came close to winning Game 4 in San Francisco before overwhelming the Warriors in Game 5, even with Kevin Durant on the bench in street clothes—the exact same clothes he wore earlier that evening when standing with his Rolls-Royce Dawn in what could only be his driveway.
The Dodge Charger 392 Scat Pack, which is naturally far less expensive than a Rolls-Royce, is the other car that Morant drives. We previously showed you this car.
You might recall from that post that I likened the Chargers’ mindset to that of Ja’s Memphis Grizzlies team in 2021–2022. Even while those parallels make sense, I’m not shocked that he drives a car as luxurious as a Rolls-Royce Dawn. Ultimately, a Dawn is approximately $356,500 in price, and in 2019 Morant signed a $39.6 million, four-year contract with the Grizzlies.
Redesigned in 2015, the Dawn shares the same platform as the Ghost and is the replacement for the Phantom Drophead Coupe. Not only that, but it’s one of the two Rolls-Royce cars that still use BMW architecture.
A 6.6-liter V12 twin-turbo engine generates 563 horsepower (571 ps) and 605 lb-ft (820 Nm) of torque in the “regular” model and 593 horsepower (601 ps) and 620 lb-ft (841 Nm) in the Black Badge edition. With this opulent convertible, you can reach 60 mph in less than 5 seconds while maintaining the smoothest possible ride. For someone who always gives it their all on the basketball floor, this is the ideal vehicle.
