His mother was there when his fiancée Mariah Danae Riddlesprigger gave birth to their first child during his first pregnancy. These are the crucial times that permanently altered one family and drew them closer together. Giannis adores his father so highly that he gave his son Liam the name “Charles.” It tells a lot just by looking at that middle name.
The documentaries, in which it is stated that the Antetokounmpos once relied on street sales to support themselves, were produced in collaboration with Nike. It was difficult for them to put food on the table. His father would never subject his kids to the miseries of poverty, not even if it meant going to bed hungry. “I was thinking about my mom and dad when I was practicing.”
So, that must have been the driving force behind a young Giannis saying that.
