LeBron James and Kevin Durant put on a show for the spectators at Crypto.com Arena on Thursday night. Although the Los Angeles Lakers were the ones who ended up winning the game, the King demonstrated that it was about more than just basketball after the game was over.

A touching moment between James and Wanda Durant was captured on camera after the Los Angeles Lakers secured their first victory of the new season by defeating the Phoenix Suns by a score of 100-95.

LeBron James is definitely still enjoying the camaraderie that exists across the NBA despite the fact that he is 38 years old. This is the second time that he has experienced something of this nature early on in the NBA season.

In spite of the fact that both James and Durant had outstanding performances on Thursday night, it was James who had a more impressive performance in the fourth quarter. James scored ten of his twenty-one points while playing the entire fourth quarter, including a basket that broke the tie with one minute and eleven seconds remaining. The Lakers were down by 12 points going into the last frame of the game, but they mounted a spectacular comeback comeback to win the game against the Suns and earn their first victory.

“Someone you just compare yourself to,” Durant said about James afterwards. “If you could accomplish and achieve some of the stuff that he’s done, you’re doing pretty solid for yourself. It’s just a baseline for yourself as a player to see how great you can be.”

Durant was phenomenal himself in the contest, finishing with 39 points and 11 rebounds while carrying a team that was missing Devin Booker and Bradley Beal in Los Angeles on Thursday.

Due to a variety of issues, including injuries, load management, and the health and safety protocols of the league, Durant and James have not competed against each other on an NBA court since Christmas 2018. It was a wonderful sight for basketball fans to see them on the court together.

Despite the fact that the Lakers emerged victorious, the entire league was victorious as they witnessed two players who had been buddies since they were 17 years old continue to dominate twenty years later.
