Along the way, Harden won many other awards and went from being Sixth Man of the Year with the Oklahoma City Thunder to MVP with the Houston Rockets.
Harden is now in his 17th season as a professional basketball player. He has been signed to some huge deals in the past, including a $228 million extension with the Rockets in 2017.
The NBA star bought a $10 million home in Houston with a small portion of that amount of money.
For now, he lives in Los Angeles with the Clippers. However, it should be easier for him to get home than it was when he played for the Philadelphia 76ers.
He bought the house in 2019 and it’s called Memorial Modern.
It is 26,000 square feet and sits on 3.5 acres of land in Houston’s Rivercrest neighborhood.
Forbes talked to Kevin Frankel, co-president of the building company that made the house, and he said that Harden was the best person to buy it.
Frankel said, “We weren’t surprised that Harden bought this house.”
“Harden has a different job than the previous owner, but he probably has the same energy and taste for the fun, resort-style vibe that this house was built around.”
“It’s interesting that Harden was reported as saying that the house was “just him.” It goes along with the way he acts in general.
The mansion looks more like a modern art gallery than a house. The outside is mostly white and has a long, curved entrance and carport, as well as several terraces.
The house also has a lot of steel that is left out in the open to contrast with the mostly white design.
It’s crazy how much steel this house has, Frankel said.
“This is not about covered steel.” You don’t usually see exposed steel that has been bent in residential construction.
Two white marble islands stand out in the kitchen, which also has white cabinets and black tools to balance things out.
It leads to the pool, which has purple cabanas all around it.
The master room has vaulted ceilings and a unique fireplace with different textures. It’s different from the rest of the house’s style because it has hardwood floors.
The master bathroom is right next to it, which fits in with the modern art museum style. There are white marble floors and other white features in the bathroom.
Along the roof, there are pieces of wood, and there is even a barber chair for Harden to use at home.
His home also has a full bar, a full wine room, and an in-home theater, among other cool features.
