Cookie Johnson and Magic Johnson are enjoying the kind of family vacation that the majority of us can only fantasize about. Aboard the Aquila, a 281-foot yacht, the Johnsons gathered some of their closest couple friends, including LL Cool J and his wife Simone Smith. The extravagant cost of this allegedly one million dollar “grown folks vacay” per week was justified by the opportunity to honor Magic Johnson on the occasion of his sixtieth birthday.

Cookie Johnson, who has been wed to the legendary basketball player for the past 28 years, commemorated his life by sharing a poignant message alongside one of his childhood photographs. She writes, “You’ve come a long way, baby!” “I express my gratitude to God for bestowing upon you sixty remarkable years, during which you have achieved numerous goals, have the potential to pursue even more, and have assisted countless individuals throughout your journey. More awaits you from God so long as you persist in following His will. I am incredibly honoured to have spent 42 years with you; I adore you tremendously. Best wishes on your birthday, my love!”

Cookie and Magic appeared ecstatic and in love while floating on the yacht’s deck, which was adorned with vibrant birthday decorations. Andre, the eldest son of Magic, and the couple’s offspring, Earvin Jr. (also known as EJ) and Elisa, were present to celebrate with their father.

Magic states that his family’s presence is the greatest gift among all the gifts and privileges he is bestowed with on this momentous occasion. “Celebrating my 60th birthday with my family was the one and only wish I had.” He captioned their family group photo on Instagram, “I’m so happy my sons Andre and EJ, daughter Elisa, daughter-in-law Lisa, and my lovely wife Cookie are all with me today.”

Magic explicitly expressed gratitude to his wife for making his special day. “My queen Cookie deserves an enormous thank you for organizing everything,” he writes. “I have cherished and been in love with you for more than four decades!” Undoubtedly, the birthday dinner for Magic was nothing but splendid. The apex of his three-tiered, white birthday cake was a vintage photograph of himself playing basketball.
