Late Fleetwood Mac Star Christine McVie’s London Penthouse Selling for Nearly £7M

Christine McVie’s London penthouse is now up for sale, hitting the market last month for £6.95 million (US$8.9 million).
The late Fleetwood Mac keyboardist and singer bought the Central London penthouse in 2015 from a developer, with whom McVie worked to renovate the apartment, customizing details to her liking while incorporating her love of Asian art and design, according to Beauchamp Estates, which is marketing the listing. Mansion Global couldn’t determine what McVie paid for the home.
Some of the design features McVie added include light oak parquet flooring and a Shaker-style kitchen with oak worktops, timber-paneled cupboards, yellow ceramic wall tiles and a breakfast bar.
McVie died in 2022 at age 79. The apartment is being sold by her estate, which is managed by her longtime manager Martin Wyatt. He couldn’t be reached for comment.
Located on Eaton Place in the upscale neighborhood of Belgravia, the penthouse spreads about 2,600 square feet across the top two levels of a white stucco terraced house.
The lower floor comprises an entrance hall, two large reception rooms, a kitchen and a study, while the home’s three bedrooms can be found upstairs. The primary bedroom has vaulted ceilings, a walk-in dressing area with a vanity and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a freestanding tub.
Above the upper level, which has skylights to let in natural light, there is a private roof garden.
“With a private roof garden this penthouse has all the layout advantages of a house with entertaining on the lower level and the private bedrooms on the upper floor,” Jeremy Gee, managing director of Beauchamp Estates, said in a statement.
After McVie’s death, her artwork and other personal belongings from the penthouse were auctioned by Julien’s Auctions in Nashville, benefiting MusiCares and other music-related charities.
