Kepa Arrizabalaga and Andrea Martinez welcome twin daughters on New Year’s Eve
Kepa Arrizabalaga, the Real Madrid goalkeeper currently on loan at AFC Bournemouth, and his wife, Andrea Martinez, a former Miss Universe Spain, ended 2024 with the ultimate gift: the birth of their twin daughters, Gala and Mia. The couple described their new arrivals as “the most beautiful thing in our lives,” marking the beginning of an exciting chapter as a family of four.
To share the joyful news, Kepa and Andrea posted a touching photograph featuring their daughters resting together in the same crib, wrapped in a soft gray blanket. Andrea expressed her elation, stating, “Creating a family with the love of my life is the most beautiful thing that has ever happened to me.”
For Andrea, becoming a mother of twins has always been a cherished dream. Inspired by her grandmother’s history of twins, Andrea had long envisioned this possibility. When the couple discovered they were expecting twins during an ultrasound, Kepa humorously reacted with disbelief, asking the doctor, “What do you mean there are two? Are you sure you didn’t check twice?” After the initial shock, the news brought overwhelming joy.
2024 was a year of transitions for the couple. Kepa returned to the Premier League, joining AFC Bournemouth on loan from Real Madrid. This marked his second stint in England after his time with Chelsea. Meanwhile, Andrea, a former basketball player who once represented Castilla y Leon in national championships, supported Kepa through the move while pursuing her career and personal goals.
